Chapter 59: Chapter 58: The feeling

Raze’s Point of View

Dad... Samantha. We are close to avenging you.

I will not stop until those responsible pay for their cris. They must pay in the harshest way, not through death, but by rotting in prison, forced to repent for everything they did to you.

"Darling... you need to rest."

I swiftly fired at the n advancing toward our direction. A faint smile curved my lips as I glanced at Ace and Zein talking to each other. For a mont, they reminded

of my past, a past I should have already buried and forgotten.

"NO! I’m not leaving without you! You’re injured too, and you’ve already lost so much blood. You can no longer fight, so I want you beside ! Damn it!"

I laughed. "You two might end up killing each other there," I joked, but they clearly did not appreciate it. Zein raised an eyebrow at , while my brother shot

a sharp glare.

I cleared my throat before firing once more at those attempting to shoot at us.

Suddenly, I rembered what I had done to Zein. I kissed her, even if it was only at the corner of her lips. Still, I know I’m dead the mont my brother finds out. Haha.

I thought I could fool Zein, but I was wrong. I believed that because of the way I hugged her and stole a kiss, she would think I was Ace. I even used their endearnt, but damn it, she was not convinced. She must truly know him that well.

I glanced at the two of them once more. Ace gently wiped the tears from Zein’s eyes. I smiled.

I am happy for my brother.

Life inside this hell was never easy for us. Ace suffered deeply when he learned that the people we once considered family were the very ones who murdered our father, and that there was nothing we could do about it. I feared for Ace, because he beca quiet all the ti. He was no longer the kind of person who trusted easily.

But because of this woman, he returned to who he once was. My brother learned how to smile again.

The mont I sensed that Ace’s feelings for Zein had changed, I did everything I could to protect her. I did not want to lose Zein, because I would not be able to bear seeing my brother suffer once more.

I am willing to risk even my own life just to protect Miss Zein Shion. I want her beside my brother.

"You need to get treated. You’ve lost a lot of blood too," Ace said, calm yet with an undeniable authority in his voice.

I just shook my head slightly. How long will they keep arguing like this? A smirk tugged at my lips as an idea crossed my mind.

I smirked.

"Ace is right." They looked at . "You need to get treated imdiately, Zein. Let

do the favor." I took Zein’s hand gently. "I’ll take you to-"

"You don’t have to. I’ll take her myself."

Shit! Hahaha. I knew it. This guy is so possessive.

"I’ll do it... since you don’t want to."

"Kuya!"

"I said you’ll do it..." I said, laughing.

I watched as Ace led Zein toward the dical team. I simply smiled... I wished we could be like that too, but... it remained only a wish.

Baby, I miss you so much.

Zein’s Point of View

I knew he could no longer fight, which was why I refused to let him leave my sight. I was afraid that I might never see him again.

"You shouldn’t get too close to that jerk," Supremo said, not even bothering to look at . "This is a warning, Zein Shion," he added.

I frowned before realizing who he was referring to. "How can you call your own brother a jerk?" I said with a laugh. "Wait, are you jealous?" I teased.

"And so what?" he replied. "I have every right, darling. Yes, I am possessive. You are exclusively mine. Only mine."

My eyes widened, and I found myself unable to speak from sheer shock at his words. I knew this was how Supremo was, but I never imagined... all right. I still didn’t fully know him after all.

"Tell ..." We stopped walking, and he turned my face toward his. "Did what I said make you feel fluttered?" he asked, making

laugh.

"You said that just to make my heart flutter?"

"I ant it. I just want to know."

I held his hand. "Yes," I admitted softly. "It made my heart flutter."

I felt a wave of shyness after saying those words.

Seriously? Did he really need to know whether I was feeling flustered or not? Damn it!

"Good," he said, before helping

along as we began walking again.

We could still hear the gunfire echoing around us. I no longer worried about our friends, knowing that they were in good hands with those accompanying us.

"Where are you going?"

Nicky intercepted us, holding a gun. She was panting heavily, exhaustion evident in her widened eyes. Well, it was a night full of battles.

"dical team," I replied.

I was surprised when Nicky also helped support . At first, I hesitated, but I let her. Nicky was on my left, while Supremo was on my right.

"You did it," Nicky said.

I wasn’t sure if she was speaking to , but I felt she ant Supremo, because I couldn’t tell what she was referring to exactly.

"Yes, we did it," Supremo answered.

Nicky laughed when she saw the furrowed expression on my forehead. "You’re still too innocent," she said. "I’m sorry." Her smile was bitter as she uttered those words.

I didn’t respond.

"I hope you understand why I warned you to stay away from Supremo... I am sorry."

"I won’t accept your apology unless you tell

why," I challenged.

I wanted to know why, because I had been confused for so long by her actions. I didn’t understand why they had all beco obstacles between Supremo and .

She took a deep breath before directing her gaze toward the dark road ahead. "We wanted to save Supremo’s position in the SSG," she said.

"Why?" I knew there was a deeper reason behind their actions. It wasn’t just about the position... a hidden truth remained.

"Because of Dark Hell Jail."

I swallowed hard after hearing that, as countless questions exploded in my mind. I needed clarity, because I was utterly confused.

How was Ferry here? How did he survive inside Dark Hell Jail?

"They might find out, especially the Headmistress, who is really behind Dark Hell Jail if Ace relinquishes his position as President. You know he was the one who created such a punishnt, right?"

I simply nodded, then glanced at Supremo, who was walking seriously, silent, unreadable. I didn’t know if he was listening or if his mind was preoccupied with sothing deeper.

"Dark Hell Jail is actually a tunnel from here to outside the University," she said. "It is also our way to communicate with the police officials outside. All students who are punished here don’t actually die. They can leave the university." she added.

That explained why Ferry was still alive.

So that’s why... no wonder I felt sothing was off the first ti I saw it. There were eyes inside that place, likely belonging to soone who is now one of our allies.

Now, I felt even more embarrassed, I almost ruined everything they had worked for. I wanted to apologize, but sha overtook

before I could.

"This is our plan. Ace Craige and Raze Silvenia are the masterminds behind this."

We froze as we were suddenly surrounded by ard n. Supremo and Nicky were alert, but I could feel their strength waning; they would not be able to handle so many enemies for much longer.

"It’s just sad that we lost an important mber," Nicky said, gripping my arm tightly so I could feel the intensity of her anger. "And we don’t fucking know who killed her... Not a single clue."

"It must be the crazy admin who did that," Supremo finally spoke.

I didn’t know who they were referring to.

"I hope so... I hope it’s really just them," Nicky added.

"S-Soone?" I asked.

It was amusing how calm we remained in conversation, despite being surrounded by ard n.

"The person who kept the secret formula all this ti... Celine."

I gaped in shock at that revelation. Her? She was the student who knew the formula? Did Mada Violet have Celine killed just to obtain it?

Fuck them!

"They even made it seem like the Black Blood Gang did it? Pathetic."

Gunshots rang out as all the ard n surrounding us fell.

"Not even a ’thank you’?" Roxane said with a grin, standing beside Sir Alvarez.

"We are here to accompany you to the dical team," Sir Alvarez said, smiling.

Nicky grimaced as Roxane nudged her aside, taking over in helping

walk.

"Bitch," I heard Nicky mutter, but Roxane paid no attention.

We began walking. Nicky followed behind us while Sir Alvarez led the way in front.

"Annoying!" Roxane said with a pout. "So he’s not Raze! UGH! I hate you guys!" She stamped her foot like a child, making

wince at how tightly she was gripping .

"Stop it! You’re hurting her!" Supremo scolded her.

Roxane rely kicked air in response and then turned her gaze back to , smiling.

"I want you to be my friend."

I couldn’t find words to respond to her. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to, but I didn’t want her to befriend

just because she saw in

the friend she once had.

"You should be thanking ..." she smiled at . "I saved your life," she added.

I furrowed my brow, not understanding her. I glanced at Supremo, who was smiling, before returning my gaze to Roxane.

"What do you an?" I asked.

"I killed the jerk... Bloody week."

I gaped, realizing what she ant. She was the one who had taken out the person who had targeted

during that bloody week.

I couldn’t believe she was laughing about it.

"Now, we are friends," she said, planting a kiss on my cheek.

"What the- Who says you have the right to kiss her?"

"Easy, Supremo. It’s just a friendly kiss."

We laughed at Supremo’s reaction. After a while, silence settled around us. We were all panting, exhausted from walking for so long.

A cold wind blew, prompting

to look up at the sky. Thick clouds had now hidden the stars and the moon, signaling the imminent downpour.

"Wait... Is this really the right way?" Nicky asked.

We all looked at Sir Alvarez, who was smiling. "There are many ard n guarding the main path. It’s safer if we take this route," he explained.

We continued walking, as if the path had no end.

Sir Alvarez accidentally dropped a photograph, which he quickly picked up and returned to his pocket. He smiled at us before continuing.

I felt Supremo’s grip tighten on my hand, prompting

to look at him.

"Darling, everything will be alright."

I didn’t know why, but a wave of nervousness washed over . I had never felt this anxious before. Sothing bad... sothing was about to happen.

I hate this feeling... shit.
