The Front Desk Clerk saw Liu Zheng co down the stairs;
a fierce glint flashed in her eyes.
But she quickly covered it up and replaced it with a smile.
“How did it go?”
She stepped forward to ask.
“It’s a bit different from how I imagined it, but the outco is pretty good.”
Liu Zheng nodded.
Although Blond Guy beca Golden Retriever, the rmaid had also been tricked into going fishing.
In a way, this result was even better.
“What about Vlad III?”
The Front Desk Clerk asked expectantly.
“I’ll go ask, but I won’t make any promises.”
Liu Zheng said.
“Then I’ll await my master’s good news.”
The Front Desk Clerk obediently replied.
“By the way, what’s your na?”
He asked.
“You can just call Aier, master.”
“I want your real na.”
Liu Zheng shook his head.
Hearing him, the Front Desk Clerk’s expression changed.
Her newly fixed fang popped back out, her fingertips whitening slightly.
“If I don’t tell you, you won’t help get Vlad III?”
she asked coldly.
“Of course not. I’ll do what I promised. This just decides whether I treat you as a friend.”
Liu Zheng said.
“What’s the difference between being friends or not?”
“What a difference. Everyone who knows knows I’m generous to friends. For example, if you can’t afford Vlad III’s price, I might consider letting you pay in installnts.”
he said.
“So what’s your real na?”
After hesitating for a mont, the Front Desk Clerk asked.
“I’m the one asking you.”
“My real na is Air.”
The Front Desk Clerk pursed her lips and leaned into Liu Zheng’s ear to say it.
“My na is Liu Zheng. Here, take this to eat.”
He took a duplicated sour fish vegetables from the delivery box and handed it to the Front Desk Clerk.
That dish had little use for him, better used as a favor.
“How can I accept this?”
The Front Desk Clerk was flattered.
This was a takeout from the Bloody Restaurant—her Blood Father wouldn’t even spare ordering this.
“I said I’m generous to friends. You’ll see later—one takeout is nothing.”
Liu Zheng said arrogantly.
His brazen attitude sohow made the Front Desk Clerk’s eyes sparkle.
“Actually, you could be my girlfriend too.”
She said shyly.
“Better not.”
Liu Zheng refused without hesitation.
“Why? Am I not pretty enough? Not big enough? You were clearly peeking just now.”
The Front Desk Clerk puffed her chest in displeasure.
“Ahem, that was a strength assessnt.”
“Pff. Are you saying vampires have a bad reputation?”
The Front Desk Clerk thought of a possibility and hurried to explain.
“I’m not like those promiscuous ones. My family is puritanical and strict. I haven’t even kissed a boy yet.”
Well then—puritan vampire. What a joke.
“It’s not your problem. I promised the Fisherman I’d pursue the rmaid;
if I cheat, he’ll probably throw to the fish.”
Liu Zheng found a plausible excuse.
“No problem, I’ll wait for you to break up.”
The Front Desk Clerk said indifferently.
After all, as a vampire she wasn’t short on ti.
“Good luck then.”
Putting aside whether he could win over the rmaid;
even if he did, the breakup would probably happen when he left the Dungeon.
“By the way, Air, are you in urgent need of money?”
Liu Zheng asked.
“No, not urgent. Do you want to borrow?”
the Front Desk Clerk asked.
“If you have so spare, lend a little.”
He said awkwardly.
After all the recent shopping, his funds were low.
“I can lend, but on one condition.”
After thinking for a while, the Front Desk Clerk said.
“What condition?”
“Let drink so of your blood.”
She said with a smile.
“Oh, that’s nothing. I thought you’d ask to write an IOU.”
Liu Zheng breathed a sigh of relief.
“How much do you want? A pound enough?”
He pulled out the Boning Knife and asked.
With Flesh Rebirth, his at-to-filler ratio was basically one to one—blood or marrow, he had plenty.
“That’s enough. Don’t cut it open;
I’ll just suck directly.”
The Front Desk Clerk licked her lips.
“Suck...won’t you turn into a vampire?”
Liu Zheng was a little worried.
He was currently in an abnormal state;
if he awakened a vampire bloodline it might cause conflict.
“Relax. Becoming a vampire isn’t that simple;
it consus my life essence. If you wanted to beco one, I wouldn’t spare it.”
the Front Desk Clerk said.
“Alright. Be gentle—this is my first ti.”
Liu Zheng closed his eyes, presenting himself like a ripe fruit.
Two tentacles quietly slipped into his pocket;
one held a Chew Stick, the other held the Golden Finger.
“Don’t worry, I’m practiced. It won’t hurt.”
The Front Desk Clerk smiled and approached his neck.
Then she produced a straw.
“Huh?”
Liu Zheng’s face went o.0?
“It’s more hygienic this way. Don’t worry, I disinfected the utensils with ultraviolet light.”
the Front Desk Clerk said proudly.
“Fighting poison with poison, huh.”
He had just made that quip when the straw pierced his neck.
She hadn’t lied;
it hardly hurt—like a needle prick.
Although he didn’t know how a paper tube could pierce his carapace, weird residents didn’t need full explanations.
As the Front Desk Clerk started to suck, Liu Zheng clearly felt his blood being drawn away in waves.
Weakness ca in pulses, quickly filled again by his regenerating blood.
Overall it wasn’t unbearable;
there was even a strange pleasure.
He suddenly understood those who liked bloodletting therapy.
“Burp~”
After who knows how long, the Front Desk Clerk finally stopped and belched contentedly.
Her gaze was vacant, cheeks flushed, and every visible vein had taken on the sa purplish-red color as Liu Zheng’s blood.
She looked drowsy, the kind of out-of-it state from overeating.
Did this count as him pouring bone and blood into the Front Desk Clerk?
He thought with a weird expression.
After all, bone and blood were the sa thing to him.
“I can’t drink anymore.”
The Front Desk Clerk said with difficulty.
“You don’t have much appetite.”
Liu Zheng chewed a piece of dried fish and mocked her.
“Not my fault—your blood’s hard to digest. Nowadays it’s tough to find good ecological blood.”
the Front Desk Clerk complained a little.
“Bla , huh.”
He rolled his eyes.
“Blah, blah, here’s the money.”
Since they exchanged real nas, the Front Desk Clerk had noticeably beco more lively.
“So generous? Is it a gift or a loan?”
Liu Zheng estimated the amount—about thirty thousand.
“A gift works. But if it’s a gift, you must accept my first embrace and then marry .”
the Front Desk Clerk said.
“Then make it a loan.”
He balled the cash and stuffed it into his pocket.
“Let’s go.”
Liu Zheng patted his butt and left.
“Scumbag, pfft!”
The Front Desk Clerk spat at the spot he had patted.
After leaving the board ga cafe, Liu Zheng didn’t forget to greet the Statue.
“Leaving, are you, Lady Witch?”
He waved at the Witch statue.
The Witch’s eyes turned toward him, then a coffee and dessert from the bag floated out automatically into her hands.
“What the—mugging on the road.”
Liu Zheng’s thought had just popped up when thunder sounded overhead.
“This is my offering to Lady Witch. If it’s not enough, take more.”
He said sincerely.
The clouds dispersed, but a thin bolt of lightning still struck down, hitting one of his tentacles.
Liu Zheng raised that tentacle and saw an inverted pentagram mark appear on it.
He didn’t know what it ant, but his gut told him it couldn’t be bad.
“Finally leaving, huh.”
Liu Zheng wiggled his tentacle and turned toward the Bloody Restaurant.
On the Gothic spire, the Statue shed its bronze shell.
The Witch in the crimson cloak sipped the coffee;
her dead eyes gradually gained life.
“Humans are useful after all.”
She watched Liu Zheng’s retreating back and smiled eerily.
A huge cauldron’s phantom appeared before her, and from the thick brew rose a bottle of potion brewing with fire and lightning.
It was the Blasphemy Mixture.
