After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrived at their lodging—a dium-sized Chinese-style house. A small stone bridge arched over a pond filled with koi fish, and a soothing fragrance lingered in the air, giving the place a calm, peaceful feel. Clearly, this was one of the better resting houses within the Chen Clan, showing just how highly Chen i regarded Lin Feng and Huang Bei.

"This is it, young sirs. If you have any further requests, simply call on one of the servants inside," Chen Yu said, bowing his head slightly before walking away and leaving them to their own devices.

Huang Bei, seeing where they would be staying for the next few days, let out a heavy breath as he headed toward the house’s entrance.

"Finally, we can rest. After everything we went through on a simple escort mission, we deserve so ti to relax."

Lin Feng, hearing Huang Bei’s words, felt the sa and thought to himself, Hopefully, we can actually rest for a while without anything bad happening...

As they both stepped inside, a few female servants quickly approached and bowed. One of them, nad Yu Miao, stepped forward and spoke on behalf of the rest.

"Young Masters, this house has a total of five rooms for you to choose from. It also includes a welcoming room, an open-air bathhouse, and a training ground in the back if you wish to practice. You may select any room, and the servants beside will assist you with whatever you need. If there is anything they cannot provide, simply call for , and I will inform soone in the clan to accommodate you to the best of my abilities," Yu Miao said, keeping her head lowered.

Huang Bei, seeing this, quickly spoke up. "Hey, I don’t know what your young miss told you, but we aren’t anything special. You don’t have to be so formal. We’re already grateful for how accommodating you’ve been."

Lin Feng nodded in agreent. "That’s right. We really appreciate your help, so we won’t trouble you more than necessary."

Yet, beneath his words, another thought weighed on Feng’s mind.

There’s sothing I need to figure out about the way I fight...

Feng narrowed his eyes. This was sothing he had been thinking about since his fight with Yi Bei ended in a draw. The sheer number of spiritual arts Yi Bei used during their battle stood in stark contrast to his own abilities—in that area, he was clearly lacking.

Hearing their relaxed responses, Yu Miao slowly let out a quiet sigh of relief. It was clear she had been worried that the two of them might act unreasonably. Knowing they wouldn’t made her feel much more at ease. She smiled softly before speaking again.

"All right, young masters. We will follow your orders. For now, you should return to your quarters. Each of you will have a servant to guide you," Yu Miao said, gesturing toward two won standing behind her.

The two won were beautiful in an innocent way, with fair skin, slender waists, and long black hair. Huang Bei glanced at Lin Feng before speaking first.

"Brother Feng, I’ll go ahead and rest. I don’t know about you, but my body still aches from that fight—I need to recover," Huang Bei said with a tired smile, rolling his shoulders as if to ease the lingering soreness.

Lin Feng quickly nodded in response. "That’s fine, Brother Huang. You should go rest. I’ll head to my quarters after taking a dip in the bathhouse."

Huang Bei chuckled softly. "Don’t take too long, or I might eat all the food without you." With that, he turned and followed the young lady assigned to guide him, his steps slightly sluggish from exhaustion.

Yu Miao, who had been quietly observing their conversation, bowed slightly toward Lin Feng. "i Ling, why don’t you guide Young Master Lin Feng to the bathhouse so he can freshen up?"

The young woman called i Ling hesitated for a brief mont before lowering her head and replying softly, "This way, Young Master. The bathhouse is right over here." Without another word, she stepped ahead of Lin Feng, leading him toward the right wing of the estate.

Lin Feng glanced once more at Yu Miao and gave a polite nod before following i Ling. The gentle sound of their footsteps echoed faintly through the hallway as he curiously observed his surroundings.

This was the first ti he had ever been inside such an extravagant ho. Everything, from the smooth polished floors to the intricate carvings on the wooden pillars, exuded wealth and refinent. Delicate paper lanterns cast a soft, warm glow, illuminating the pathway as a subtle floral scent lingered in the air.

Even the atmosphere itself felt different. The spiritual energy here was unusually dense, far richer than what he had sensed outside the estate. It clung to his skin and stirred faintly with each breath, making his body feel lighter, more invigorated.

Is this place concentrating spiritual energy or sothing?

The thought lingered as they walked through a covered walkway leading to the outer courtyard. A gentle breeze stirred, carrying the faint sound of flowing water. Lin Feng tilted his head slightly, his sharp senses catching the rhythmic trickle of the water as he thought,

We’re probably close now.

Monts later, they arrived at the bathhouse—a serene, open-air pavilion nestled amid lush greenery. A stone path wound its way to a large, steaming pool, its surface shimring beneath the soft glow of the fading light. Delicate wooden screens surrounded the area, offering privacy while still allowing glimpses of the late afternoon sky.

The warmth from the bathhouse drifted toward him in soothing waves, easing the tension in his weary muscles before he even stepped inside.

Despite the peaceful ambiance, silence hung between them as they walked. Lin Feng didn’t mind the quiet—after everything he had endured, a little stillness was a rare comfort. Yet, a twinge of awkwardness lingered. i Ling was doing her best to assist him; it wouldn’t hurt to exchange a few words.

I should probably make so small talk.

He parted his lips to speak, but before he could, i Ling’s soft, hesitant voice broke the silence.

"Young Master, would you like to help you bathe?"

Lin Feng almost missed a step. Of all the things he expected, that wasn’t one of them.
