When Feng heard what Chen i said, his breath paused for a few seconds as sothing changed within him.
The nervousness he felt slowly started to disappear as his eyes narrowed, shining with a dangerous light.
He moved his head slightly so that he was staring directly into Chen i’s eyes before he spoke.
"I don’t really know what you an, and I don’t really know what kind of burden she has, but if it’s sothing that can be dealt with just through the power of my cultivation base, then..."
Feng said as he started to circulate his Blackwood Dominance Art, releasing the suppressive effects of his Alpha Wolf’s Domain.
Darksilver spiritual energy suddenly exploded outward, causing a storm of spiritual energy to burst forth.
"Then, if I have enough ti, I don’t think even you can beat ," Feng said confidently, his eyes shining with a powerful light.
Although it was true that Feng had started to feel intimidated by all the geniuses he had t as of late—Elena, Chen Yang, and Chen i seemingly being the most powerful of them—
What the system said was also correct.
Considering the fact that he had just started cultivating a couple of weeks ago at most, his rate of progress was terrifying.
And not just that—it was his battle prowess as well.
At the sixth level of Qi Condensation, he could fight soone at the eighth level of Qi Condensation.
This just went to show the level of "talent" Feng truly had after acquiring the system.
Huang Bei, Yan Hao, and Yan Li, who were watching the confrontation between the two, subconsciously felt a sort of pressure build up, as if they were looking at two powerful spiritual beasts sizing each other up, trying to determine whether they truly had the abilities they claid or if they were just faking it.
Chen i was also shocked, as she clearly hadn’t expected Lin Feng to have this kind of reaction.
The powerful suppressive force she felt from his darksilver spiritual energy, although not strong enough to affect her much at her cultivation level, still gave her an idea of Lin Feng’s potential as she thought to herself.
Where did this guy co from? Did Elena just pick him up out of nowhere back in the Blackwood Forest?
A person with such powerful spiritual energy pressure, despite being only at the sixth level of Qi Condensation, shouldn’t be soone unknown!
Lin Feng, seeing the reaction he got from Chen i, felt that he had sent enough of a ssage.
Slowly, he dialed back his spiritual energy, took a single step back, and bowed his head slightly before continuing to speak.
"I thank the young miss for protecting us. I will surely repay this kindness in the future."
Feng himself didn’t really understand why he had done such a thing.
Considering how he grew up in Raincloud Village, he was never the type of person who wanted to be the center of attention.
And yet, for so reason, when he heard Chen i doubt his potential, a sort of anger started to bubble up within him, as if he had been provoked.
So, he had shown off a bit of the suppressive aura from his Alpha Wolf’s Domain to send a ssage.
I don’t really know anything about Elena’s burden.
I don’t even know much about her.
But if the problem is just about strength, then even if I’m unqualified right now, in the future, none of these geniuses will be able to hold a candle to !
Feng thought to himself as he waited for Chen i to respond.
He had already made his stance clear on the matter of not being strong enough to carry Elena’s burden.
So, after slightly bowing his head in thanks, he once again looked straight into her eyes—this ti without any of the nervousness he had felt before.
He stared at her as if he were her equal.
"I guess I’m starting to understand what that girl saw in you," Chen i muttered to herself, her purple eyes gleaming in the afternoon sun.
Her black hair made her look srizing, yet Lin Feng didn’t react as he had before.
Instead, he stared at her with quiet confidence—so might even say a bit of arrogance.
Chen i, seeing that Lin Feng had started to take control of the situation, suddenly forced herself to calm down.
She quickly regained her usual deanor, a cheeky smile appearing on her face before she said, "All right, hotshot, my bad. I didn’t an to hurt your pride—that was my mistake. It was really just a warning. You know the saying, ’A jade too radiant is bound to invite thieves.’"
Lin Feng, seeing that Chen i was genuinely apologetic about what she had done, also started to calm down.
However, all of his bravado from before suddenly began to backfire as his thoughts spiraled into chaos.
Crap, did I just offend the Young Miss of the Chen Clan right in front of her doorstep?
Am I so sort of idiot?!
[Responding to host: In this regard, yes, the host did sothing problematic.]
When Feng heard what the system said, he almost cringed, realizing he had really ssed up.
And yet, he didn’t let it show on his face, instead forcing an awkward smile before saying, "Uhh, I was just talking hot air. If I offended you, I apologize. I’m still very grateful that you saved us."
When Chen i saw the expression on Feng’s face, she suddenly laughed, already having a good idea of of the kind of person Lin Feng was as a mischievous glint flashed in her eyes as she started scheming.
Hmph, this guy actually dared to intimidate with his spiritual energy?
Let’s teach him a little lesson.
"I’m guessing you’re planning to go to Brightshore City and join Brightshore Academy.
The entrance exam is happening in a few days, but considering your strength, I doubt it’ll be hard for you to get in.
I took a quick look at your cultivation base, and from what I saw, it seems you’ve advanced rapidly in such a short amount of ti that your foundation is unstable. Am I right?"
Chen i said with a smile, seeing right through one of the problems Lin Feng was currently dealing with.
