The talk between the mother and son went on for so ti, Azrail enjoying the small talks between the two, a small type of tradition where they just enjoyed talking with each other, sounding out ideas against each other. After the small talk, Azrail left, leaving his mother to deal with her own stuff.

As he walked through the palace, the sound of his steps resounded in the halls, the eyes of the servants always focusing on him as he kept walking around, his charm still stunning even though he was holding it in check. Soon, Azrail reached a door, knocking on it. A certain silence fell before a voice spoke out.

"Enter."

With that, Azrail opened the door, entering in as his eyes t Raena seated on a sofa, her eyes looking glazed with light blushes on her cheeks as she drank from the alcohol in her hands. Her eyes t his as the two of them faced each other.

"Oh~ what does my son-in-law want now?"

She teased as she made herself more comfortable on the sofa. Azrail sat opposite her. He didn't say anything to her as they faced each other. A silence, stifling enough to make anyone feel awkward, fell between them: the fully grown, seductive woman and the child with the charm to match all faced each other.

Both of their eyes t, their bodies, their minds, and their experiences in certain senses different, yet when the silence lay, and the two of them faced each other with a raw gaze, the hidden darkness, the madness, the two of them held behind their acting facade started to leak out.

The desire for slaughter born from the darkness they have faced in life is hidden within the hearts of the two. Raena hides the pain and desire for blood and death around her in her behaviour and her drunken self, numbing a sense of her own mind to keep her inner self under control, while it's different for Azrail.

Having learned to embrace and deny his side, already having lived a life filled with slaughter, Azrail had learned to keep it under control. He had already awakened and been at one with himself, a sense of understanding that goes beyond many, helping him keep everything under control and thus making his life much more open.

The truth of the issue is that Azrail has been visiting Raena like this for the past week. He would just walk in, sit facing her, and the two would just look at each other. It was normal on the first day, but on the second day, since he had left his own raw madness open in his mind ro the atmosphere, the sa ca as a reflexive act from Raena.

They wouldn't speak. They wouldn't do anything. They would just sit facing each other, letting the madness of one mix with the other, pure understanding being ford from it as Raena accepted it. She could understand it—he was trying to help her keep her madness in control.

Azrail, the child sitting in front of her, was accepting her madness. He was accepting it, mingling the dangers of desires with his own, accepting her desire for death, forming a sort of healing and self-containnt. She didn't ask for it, nor did he say anything about it, but in this mont, there was nothing the two could hide from each other.

And that's why Raena ca to understand that the child in front of her had perhaps suffered even more than she had. Pain, suffering, the desire for death and slaughter—all markings of the raw, pure energy of suffering the victim had gone through. Raena could see it—the suffering of this child exceeded hers.

Raena wanted to ask; she wanted to know—just what had the little child in front of her gone through? Just what did he suffer to co out like this? How? How did he achieve such a feat to beco so great?

But no matter how much Raena wanted to ask, she couldn't. She just couldn't bring herself to ask the child in front of her what his sufferings were when she herself couldn't face her past. All she could do was run away in her own way, hiding her suffering in her drinks and stupidity. Yet, even then, her heart mourned for the child.

He was another person her heart had felt such soft pity and emotions for. She just couldn't place her mind on the fact of what was going on. The child in front of her was a huge enigma. Just how did he, with all the pain he's showing, live such a normal life? How is he giving out all of his love and care after having been treated so badly by the world itself?

How could such a small child shine so brightly while she lived with such pain? Raena really wanted to ask, how could she beco like this? How could she get rid of the sticky coldness filling her heart? How could she escape from the hell she had created around her?

How can she be happy again?...

.....

'Looks like she won't be able to hold back anymore.'

Azrail thought as he felt the changes in the bloodlust around—bloodlust desiring for death and blood, to see lives fall in its wake, innocent or not. But Raena was holding back with her own pure will, though she wouldn't be able to hold it back for long. If she didn't face the desire she had, she would fall to a level that would perhaps even ruin her.

It's the sa thing that happened to Azrail, and from the stories he had read, the future for Raena isn't bright if she doesn't deal with it. In the past, he wouldn't have cared nor even gone out of his way to deal with the problem Raena was facing, but right now, Valencia was his family, which ans Raena is the sa, and he would have to deal with it.

Thus, he started to control his bloodlust. The room around them now turned even more blood-red, to which Raena's desires reacted. The bloodlust from her swirled around with Azrail's bloodlust, the room they sat in shaking a bit. Raena's eyes widened, her gaze turning blood-red for a mont as she asked,

"What are you doing?"

"So you can finally speak, mother-in-law."

Azrail replied with a smile as his bloodlust started to swirl around Raena's, the two of them joining and focusing together. The pure, dangerous, raw desire for blood ca around, as Azrail said, focusing on Raena.

"You can't keep living like this. Suppressing all these desires won't help at all. You need to let it all loose once before you can start going against the desire acting against you."

"Urgh!...."

Is the response Raena gave as she bit her lips, her gaze flickering to read even more as she, biting her lips hard, spoke.

"You don't know what you're talking about."

"Lies. You know better than I understand this more than anyone."

Azrail's words left no way for Raena to react as the bloodlust started to rise, though it was locked in by Azrail's aura, keeping it within this room.
