"So it’s true. He’s just so grunt who serves tea in the military."

"I suspected as much the mont he challenged you to a tea ceremony," Zhang ilan muttered disdainfully.

"But the technique you use to brew tea is filled with a decisive, lethal intent," Tang De remarked, raising his eyebrows in suspicion. "It doesn’t resemble a ceremonial art at all; it’s more like kung fu tea. Your movents are so decisive they sotis make my own hands tingle. Qin Long, have you been on a battlefield before?"

Hearing this, Qin Long could only sigh.

He hadn’t just *been* on a battlefield. At the age of eight, he followed his master on campaigns from north to south, charging in and out of heaps of corpses seven tis over. Ten years later, in that single great battle, he fought against forty-nine Martial Masters and conquered vast lands. He was bestowed the na Heavenly Dragon, head of the four War Venerables, with nine stars upon his shoulders. Thereafter, enemy nations would cast aside their armor and flee at the re ntion of the Heavenly Dragon. The blood on his hands could be asured in the tens of millions. But that was all past glory. Now, he was just a cripple.

"I suppose I was there once," Qin Long said evasively.

"I knew it!" Tang De understood that Qin Long didn’t want to discuss the topic further.

"The delicious seafood soup is here!" Tang Xuewu announced. "Dad, clear away the tea set! Qin Long, here’s a spoon for you."

She handed him a silver spoon.

"Thank you," Qin Long said, deeply grateful.

It was an incredibly peaceful day. Zhang ilan and Tang De were unusually talkative, and Qin Long played along with a smile. Zhang ilan was in a good mood and couldn’t be bothered to pick a fight with him.

Qin Long sipped the soup, his gaze slowly falling on the three people before him. He felt a stirring within him.

The Heavenly Dragon, a man who could slaughter tens of thousands without batting an eye, was now enjoying the sense of contentnt this family brought him. In the past, he had felt nothing but loathing for Zhang ilan. But on second thought, if he had a daughter, would he marry her off to a disabled man? With that, Qin Long began to understand her a little better. As long as they didn’t do anything malicious, he was willing to protect them.

Soon, Tang De and Zhang ilan were dead drunk. Tang Xuewu made the bed for Qin Long, and once everything was settled, she returned to her room to rest.

Qin Long sat on the bed. With a wave of his hand, nine Golden Needles flew out from a copper ring. He began his treatnt with the Golden Needle Technique. About half an hour later, he removed all nine needles from his right leg.

"Ah!"

A surge of ecstasy welled up in Qin Long’s heart. He could actually feel a faint pain in his right leg, which had been completely numb before. It felt as if a warm current was slowly moving through it. Qin Long knew that most of the damaged ridians in his injured leg had recovered. Otherwise, such a change would have been impossible.

Excitent surged through him. He was one step closer to being able to stand again.

Qin Long tried to lift his right leg, feeling a bit of strength return to it. He wanted to try standing. Watching the gentle warmth flow within his leg, he steeled himself, gritted his teeth, and slowly lifted his right leg, attempting to walk. But just as he was about to take that first step, the strength in his leg vanished instantly. To keep from falling, he threw himself sideways onto the bed.

THUMP!

He landed heavily on the mattress. He gritted his teeth and struck the bed, but held back his strength to avoid disturbing Xuewu.

His leg was unresponsive again; even the faint pain was gone.

"Damn it!"

Qin Long struggled to turn over, sighing in frustration. At that mont, he hated himself.

Is this still the invincible Heavenly Dragon? The faith of the army? Now, I can’t even stand on my own and have to rely on a crutch to walk. Who could accept such a contrast? It’s impossible to remain calm. Even the Qin Long who had fought for ten years couldn’t simply accept this reality.

Lying in bed, Qin Long thought for a long ti.

Complaining is useless. I need to find a way out of this predicant. After three years, so of the damaged ridians have already recovered. The problem now is my inability to use my strength, so there must be another issue. When I’m calm, I can feel a slow, painful recovery, but the cultivation ridian in my leg remains completely numb...

Qin Long slowly pinpointed the problem. He had been so focused on recovering the other ridians that he had neglected the primary one used for his cultivation. It seed that Qiu Hu, knowing how formidable his leg techniques were, had deliberately used an imperceptible, insidious poison to destroy the very foundation of his leg’s ridian. No wonder he had also struck a heavy blow to his head, leaving him ntally disabled for three years.

"The leg ridian..." Qin Long muttered to himself.

With his current resources, there was no way to restore his cultivation ridian. Furthermore, it seed the nerves in his leg had also sustained damage. It was common knowledge that once neurons are damaged, they are extrely difficult to repair.

Qin Long clenched his fists, lost in thought, searching his mory for a redy. Although healing the leg ridian was beyond the scope of modern dicine, for him, it wasn’t impossible.

"I’ve got it."

After about ten minutes, Qin Long slowly sat up. He rembered a pill formula his master had made him morize. If he could refine that pill, it would completely heal his right leg, even nding the shattered bones. Then, he could finally throw away his crutch and stand proudly by Tang Xuewu’s side.

"Hundred Herb Flower, century-old deer antler, Ice Condensate Fruit, Snow Heart Grass..." he murmured, recording the necessary ingredients in his phone’s mo.

The Hundred Herb Flower can stimulate the regeneration and repair of neurons, and the Ice Condensate Fruit can heal shattered leg bones. Given my current condition, these herbs need to be of a certain age. You could say the older, the better.

He added the age requirents to the note. Soon, the entire list was complete.

The bottle of Spiritual Wine for Old Master Tang’s birthday would already cause a bidding war among countless tycoons if it were auctioned. It was truly precious. However, the value of this pill was on a completely different level. He only needed to consu the pill and supplent it with the Golden Needle Technique to completely cure his right leg. Qin Long was even confident it could increase his physical prowess severalfold.

Although the Tang Family had a dicinal herb processing factory, it was nothing compared to the wholesale market controlled by Zhao Ruoying. After all, the Zhao Family’s Yaolong Group was not only financially powerful but also a much safer option.

Qin Long sent the list of dicinal ingredients to Zhao Ruoying.

Just as he finished and was about to go to sleep, his phone lit up with a video call from Tang Xuewu.

He answered it.

"Qin Long, are you still busy?"

"Xuewu, what is it? Is your calf hurting again? That shouldn’t be happening!" Qin Long asked with deep concern. He thought her injury hadn’t fully healed.

"I’m fine. It’s Xuexue. She called a little while ago and said she misses you," Tang Xuewu explained as she walked toward him in her pajamas. In the dim light, her long hair cascaded around her, framing her fair skin and curvaceous figure. Noticing Qin Long’s ardent gaze, she blushed, handed him the tablet she was holding, and quickly ran back to her room.

Qin Long scratched his head as he took the device. On the screen, he saw Xuexue’s adorable, chubby little face.

"What’s wrong, my little princess?" Qin Long asked affectionately.

"Brother Long, Xuexue misses you..." ca the tiny voice from the tablet, her eyes looking at him with a pitiful expression.

Qin Long’s heart clenched with concern. "What’s going on? Xuexue, why aren’t you resting?"
