"Xuewu, is this because of my right leg?"

"I'll be able to recover soon. When I do, I will personally carry you down the wedding aisle."

"Trust . I will definitely stand up again."

Qin Long held Tang Xuewu's waist again, his tone exceptionally serious.

Tang Xuewu stood frozen, at a complete loss as her mind swirled with confusion. Everything Qin Long had ever done for her flashed through her mind like scenes from a movie. He'd even made a bet with his mother that he would propose to in the Sky Garden, and it was all true. Qin Long had actually done it all.

With a conflicted expression, Tang Xuewu slowly looked at Qin Long.

"Are you really going to recover soon?"

Tang Xuewu was in an extrely difficult position. She truly wanted to marry Qin Long, but she knew the Tang Family would never accept him in his disabled state. When the ti ca, they would surely stop at nothing to drive him away. Instead of watching him suffer, it would be better to cut the Gordian knot now.

"I am. I promise," Qin Long said, patting his chest with a solemn look.

"Long, we…" Tang Xuewu paused for a mont before suddenly shaking her head with a sigh. "Qin Long, I don't need you to repay , and you don't need to feel indebted to . You have a considerable fortune now; you can easily afford professional caregivers to look after you. That would put my mind at ease. We should still…"

Tang Xuewu clenched her fists, her lips trembling, still unable to speak the final words. If Qin Long is only staying with out of a sense of gratitude, that isn't love. I can't accept that.

"It's not just about gratitude. I'm truly in love with you," Qin Long said, hugging her waist from behind once more. "Otherwise, wouldn't it be much simpler to just compensate you with money?"

"You…" Tang Xuewu still looked torn.

SNAP!

Qin Long flung open the gift box and slipped a gorgeous wedding ring onto Tang Xuewu's finger.

"You can only be mine in this lifeti. The woman Qin Long loves is a woman he will cherish for all his life."

He assertively turned Tang Xuewu around and planted a kiss on her forehead.

Struck as if by lightning, Tang Xuewu's mind went blank. She had never expected Qin Long to be so domineering as to kiss her so forcefully.

"If you marry, you will only marry . Besides , no one else would dare."

Qin Long pulled Tang Xuewu into his arms again. This commanding presence completely captivated her.

"I... I will," Tang Xuewu finally whispered, her head lowered and her face blushing, after a long mont of silence.

The crowd below the Sky Garden had been watching the entire ti. Just then, an airship from the Sky Garden system began to move, slowly descending. It was decked out with all sorts of purple roses, with long ribbons of red roses trailing behind it. It was the pinnacle of romance.

The sight of the couple embracing on the airship instantly drew everyone's attention. Countless rose-petal ribbons drifted around them, creating an incredibly warm and intimate atmosphere as the ambiance reached its climax. A sea of flowers swayed in the wind, and innurable fireworks burst across the sky in a display of unparalleled beauty.

Zhang ilan and Tang De were completely baffled. Wasn't Wang Ming supposed to propose to Tang Xuewu today? How did soone beat him to it? Tang Xuewu is clearly in another man's arms, looking happier than ever, and damn it, Wang Ming hasn't even gotten through the main gate!

He could only watch helplessly from below. They didn't dare to ask what was happening, choosing instead to wait and see.

"It's so beautiful! So much love!"

"I'm so jealous!"

"If a Prince Charming proposed to like that, I'd say yes in a heartbeat!"

Countless young won in the crowd below covered their mouths, their faces filled with envy. They practically wished they could pull Tang Xuewu down and take her place.

Caras from nurous entertainnt companies and hordes of live strears pushed to get closer, desperate for a clearer shot. So paparazzi even turned their caras on Wang Ming, snapping several close-ups. This was an unbelievably explosive piece of news. It was common knowledge that Wang Ming of Jiangzhong intended to propose to Tang Xuewu at the Tang Family's fiftieth-anniversary celebration. A proposal was indeed happening, but the leading man was not Wang Ming. The fact that he hadn't even made it through the door would make him a laughingstock once word got out.

In an instant, a swarm of reporters and strears surrounded Wang Ming.

"Young Master Wang, was this part of your special arrangent?"

"Young Master Wang, we saw Miss Tang Xuewu embracing another man."

"So it turns out Young Master Wang is the benevolent Matchmaker ssenger! Truly admirable!"

The questions from the dia made Wang Ming's face flush beet red. Any explanation he could offer would be instantly shot down. He was already seething with rage and in no mood to answer them.

"Get lost!" Wang Ming gritted his teeth, on the verge of exploding.

But the dia and strears loved it when people lost their temper. To them, his outburst only proved there was an explosive story here; otherwise, why would he lose his cool? Thus, the more furious and embarrassed Wang Ming beca, the more he attracted their attention.

"Mingming, don't be reckless," Wang Xiuhe said, trying to stop him with a grim expression.

Wang Ming absolutely could not lose control at this critical mont. If he did, he would beco the biggest news in Jiangzhong, and the Wang Family would beco the biggest joke. It would undoubtedly have an impact on their business empire.

But Wang Ming was at the peak of his fury. How could he possibly be talked down now? All the powerful families of Jiangzhong were present, yet his fiancée was embracing another man. No man could tolerate such a thing. It was an utter disgrace! What's more, he hadn't even entered the hotel, and he had no idea who this man was that had appeared out of nowhere. It should have been him up there on that airship with Tang Xuewu, whispering sweet nothings to her. But now, soone else had stolen his thunder. This filled Wang Ming with an unbearable rage; he felt deeply humiliated.

"Damn you all! Get lost! Get lost!" Wang Ming roared, kicking a female strear who stood closest to him.

That single kick set off a firestorm. The scene imdiately erupted, and the reporters and strears dropped their fake smiles.

"What's this, Young Master Wang? Getting angry out of embarrassnt?"

"Great Young Master Wang, was this whole grand display just for the Jiangzhong elite to watch soone steal your woman right from under your nose?"

"The lady you ca to propose to was just being kissed passionately by another man!"

"Just because you can't get in the door doesn't an you can take it out on us!"

A wave of derisive laughter swept through the surrounding crowd.

"Great Young Master Wang, soone in Jiangzhong actually dared to steal your fiancée from you?"

"Could it be that young master who was escorted by sixteen Harley-Davidsons?"

Entertainnt companies don't care if you're a rich heir or a celebrity; they only care about sensational headlines that can dominate public discourse. After Wang Ming's vitriol, they dropped all pretense of respect.

"Guards, get these people the hell away from !" Wang Ming yelled at the guards behind him, his face contorted with rage.

Imdiately, a dozen guards moved in, pushing the dia mbers and strears back.

Up on the airship, Qin Long held Tang Xuewu by the waist from behind. She, in turn, faced the cheering crowd with a joyful expression. anwhile, the area outside the main hall below had descended into total chaos, and the three hundred prominent figures of Jiangzhong had already begun to beat a retreat.
