"After all, we’re not great at choosing villas and interior designs. We might as well take a look at soone else’s."

Hearing this, Tang Xuewu slowly helped Qin Long walk inside.

"That’s more like it," a wicked smile played on Zhang Xiaoran’s lips as she took the lead, guiding the other young mbers of the Zhang family forward.

Say what you will, the villa Zhang Daojun had bought was actually quite nice. Although it was a bit small, its location was excellent. Even if it wasn’t in a pri spot like the Fish Dragon King Villa, it was still impressive. Moreover, Qin Long vaguely rembered having seen this house by chance before, though he hadn’t seen Zhang Daojun’s family at the ti. This place was only about two miles from the Fish Dragon King Villa and the Yulong Terrace residences.

I’ll bring Zhang ilan and Tang De over to familiarize themselves with the area later.

As the other Zhang family mbers explored curiously, Zhang Xiaoran sidled up to Tang Xuewu with a playful grin. "Haha, Xuewu, how do you like our little villa?"

"Cousin Ranran, while this villa isn’t very large, it’s still lovely," Tang Xuewu praised, blinking her beautiful eyes.

"And you, Qin Long?" Zhang Xiaoran asked, touching her chin with a cold smirk.

"Um, it’s alright, I guess..."

Qin Long’s noncommittal response instantly infuriated Zhang Xiaoran. "Kid, what did you say?" she shouted, her expression tightening. Her furious outburst drew everyone’s attention, and all the nearby Zhang family mbers gathered around.

"Cousin Ranran, why are you so angry?" a man in a white blazer asked with a smile.

"He said our little villa is just ’alright,’" Zhang Xiaoran sneered, her voice laced with fury. "The nerve!"

"Just alright?" another cousin chid in. "Is this guy out of his mind? Look at the interior decoration here, and the small hot spring pool nearby!"

"Cousin Ranran, he’s just a disabled freeloader. He doesn’t know what a good house is, so there’s no need for you to get upset," soone else added.

The nearby Zhang family mbers glared fiercely at Qin Long, their faces full of disdain. Only Zhang ilan and Li Mingjie stood to the side, looking troubled but remaining silent. They also wanted to mock Qin Long, but this was a public place, and the timing wasn’t right.

"You bought a second-hand house, didn’t you?"

Qin Long’s words shocked both Zhang Daojun and Zhang Xiaoran, but they quickly masked their expressions.

The Zhang family imdiately erupted. "Qin Long, don’t talk nonsense!"

"This is a villa we bought for over two million! When did it beco a second-hand house?"

As they bombarded him with criticism, even Tang Xuewu desperately tried to signal with her eyes for him to stop talking.

"This villa was probably built from the leftover materials when the other villas were being constructed," Qin Long began calmly. "And I speculate there was never any intention to sell it in the first place. It’s on the shady side of the Yulong community, so when it rains, it’s perpetually damp and even risks chilling drafts.

"Also, this is a convergence point for the sewage drains. It probably stinks in the sumr, which I assu is why the previous owner was so eager to sell."

Qin Long pointed his chin toward a white pipe as thick as a bucket, which was clearly labeled "Sewer Convergence Point." The Zhang family mbers murmured in dismay when they saw it.

At this, Zhang Xiaoran’s expression turned gloomy. Of course, she knew all this. It was precisely for these reasons that her family had been able to afford a second-hand villa in the Yulong community in the first place.

"Supposedly, asures were taken to address these issues," Qin Long continued with an air of calm confidence. "But your villa is on the shady side and downwind, so the problems are difficult to solve."

"So what? Whose house doesn’t have a little garbage sll?" Zhang Xiaoran retorted defiantly, clenching her jaw.

Qin Long just looked at her, speechless for a mont. "Moreover, because this plot was never intended for sale, no consideration was given to ventilation or sun exposure. The sunlight is completely blocked by the houses in front and behind; you won’t see the sun all year round. It’s already on the shady side, and without sunlight, even your laundry won’t dry properly..."

After Qin Long finished, Zhang Xiaoran’s expression had grown impossibly grim. A house like this was also extrely inauspicious in terms of feng shui. Living there for a long ti would definitely cause problems.

"Qin Long, stop talking nonsense, or I’ll throw you out!" Zhang Xiaoran shrieked, rushing toward him in a rage. "We hired a master of the Mystical Arts to assess it personally! He said it was an exceptionally auspicious feng shui treasure, nothing like the disaster you’re describing!"

Qin Long could only sigh and glance toward the distant pipes.

The other mbers of the Zhang family didn’t understand these things, so upon hearing Qin Long’s analysis, they had a sudden realization. There was a light breeze today. And since it was noon, the sun should have been shining in. Yet, while the small villa looked appealing from the outside, only a weak light penetrated the interior. And standing outside, they could indeed sll a faint stench.

"It really does stink a bit..." the family mbers whispered, covering their noses.

This action made Zhang Xiaoran’s anger skyrocket. She and her father already knew about all the issues Qin Long was analyzing. In today’s law-abiding society, the developer couldn’t easily deceive buyers. They had been told about the flaws beforehand but had insisted on purchasing the second-hand villa to save face. They were even explicitly told that the site was originally intended to be a holding tank for the sewer system. But not only did Zhang Xiaoran not regret it, she had planned to deceive the rest of the family by claiming they had spent several million on the villa.

"Fine! Even if it’s a second-hand villa, Daojun bought it outright for two million!" Old Mr. Zhang said, his expression darkening as he rebuked the crowd.

Hearing this, the Zhang family mbers imdiately began to fawn over him again.

"That’s right! Even if it is second-hand, it’s a villa beyond what we could ever hope for."

"You probably couldn’t even afford this bathroom, could you?"

"If you’re so capable, why don’t you buy one and show us?"

The Zhang family imdiately turned their taunts on Qin Long. Even though he had exposed the villa’s flaws, many were still unconvinced.

Isn’t Qin Long just being blatantly envious and resentful? He can’t afford one himself, yet he has the gall to stand here and run his mouth.

"Just because you say our house’s feng shui is bad, that makes it bad? Do you think you’re so kind of feng shui master?" Zhang Xiaoran trembled with rage, a cold sneer on her face. "The Yulong Terrace villas here are the best. Why don’t you buy one of those for us to see?"

"I’m sorry," Qin Long responded with a playful look. "But I actually did buy the Fish Dragon King Villa."

"Did you hear that? This cripple said he bought the Fish Dragon King Villa!" Zhang Xiaoran pointed at Qin Long, laughing uproariously. "If you really bought it, then I, Zhang Xiaoran, will take your last na!"
