Chapter 737: Chapter 0464: Personally Delivering to the Door_2 Chapter 737: Chapter 0464: Personally Delivering to the Door_2 Wu Shenglian’s face changed dramatically. The man Gao Jini had killed was no ordinary man, he was a confidant of Zhang Weing and was said to be related with him in so way. With his death, Zhang Weing would surely not let this go.
Qi Tian’s expression also changed. With a man dead, the situation has taken a turn for the worse, and today’s events were bound to end badly. Since they were destined to be enemies, there was no room for hesitation. He bowed to Wu Shenglian and said, “Sir Wu, will you stand by and watch, or side with Zhang Weing?”
Wu Shenglian’s face changed unpredictably. She knew Qi Tian was forcing her to make a choice, and different choices would surely lead to different outcos. After a mont, she bowed back to Qi Tian and said, “I hope you understand one thing, today’s affair has nothing to do with Four Seas Bank. The grudge between you and Zhang Weing is between you two, and it has nothing to do with others, especially Four Seas Bank.”
Qi Tian instantly understood that Wu Shenglian wished to remain aloof, reluctant to muddy the waters. He nodded satisfactory and said, “I keep in mind your kindness, Sir Wu, and will repay it in future.”
Qi Tian waved at Gao Jini, Jin Jin and Wang Youjun, and then they rushed into the Four Seas Bank. Wu Shenglian watched their retreating figures and sighed. She didn’t know if her choice today was correct, mishandling the situation might leave her in a state of being rejected by both sides.
Qi Tian already knew where Zhang Weing was undergoing closed-door cultivation. He didn’t need to ask for directions, he just led the group towards that place. Upon arrival, he pointed at a small yard and said, “It’s here. Surround it.”
Gao Jini, Jin Jin, and Wang Youjun quickly surrounded the small yard. Qi Tian flicked his sleeve and they started casting spells, launching attack after attack on the yard.
As the spells fell, a protective shield rose from the small yard. This was the defensive barrier Zhang Weing had set up in his yard. Its defense was astonishing, with the attacks of Gao Jini and the others not even managing to make the barrier quiver.
Undeterred, Gao Jini and the others continued to chant and cast spell after spell. They hoped to break the defensive barrier by a saturating attack, overloading its capacity for an instant, thus causing its collapse. However, the defense barrier set up by Zhang Weing was quite formidable. It was definitely not sothing that Gao Jini and the others could break in a short ti. It might take more than a dozen days.
Qi Tian narrowed his eyes. The fact that he could use such a solid defensive barrier indicated the formidability of Zhang Weing. Since he had already offended him, there was no need to hold back, let alone entertaining the illusion of making peace with him.
Qi Tian motioned for Gao Jini and the others to co to him. He handed each of them a jade talisman. These were the Gold Core Thunder talismans he had won at the Eight Pill Alliance Auction in Wanjie City. Once activated, these thunder talismans could unleash a full-force attack equivalent to that of a Gold Core Stage 4th Level powerhouse, and were extrely precious.
Qi Tian had Gao Jini and the others hold the Gold Core Thunder talismans and act as sentries, while he used the sensing function of the Heavenly Dao Engine to detect the defensive barrier.
At first glance, this defensive barrier appeared no different from those ford by other formations. But in the three-dinsional image fed back by the Heavenly Dao Engine, Qi Tian found sothing interesting: the foundation of this defensive formation was not inside the barrier, but outside of it, much like the stakes of a tent fixed outside on the ground.
The foundations of the defensive barrier were ingeniously set and cleverly concealed. Unless soone was a Formation Master, it would be virtually impossible to detect them. Qi Tian, however, was not a Formation Master, but he had the Heavenly Dao Engine, which could clearly sense the distribution of Spirit Qi in the surrounding area. Initially, he thought he might have to release the Locust Thief Bees — his usual tactic of creating an opening in the defense barrier and having everyone, including himself, enter the barrier through there.
However, this thod was not without its flaws. If he invaded a place where the owner was stronger than him, he could easily be caught in the trap, instead of him catching the owner of the defensive barrier. Zhang Weing was just such a possibility of counter-catching Qi Tian. Being able to take a more cautious approach at this ti, instead of taking a risk, Qi Tian was naturally happy.
A cold smirk erged from the corner of Qi Tian’s mouth. Didn’t Zhang Weing want one of his hands? Well, he would destroy Zhang Weing’s defensive barrier first. There wasn’t much difference between this and breaking one of Zhang Weing’s hands.
Qi Tian gestured to Gao Jini and the others to stay alert. He then walked towards one of the four nodes of the array. This array node was hidden amongst flowers. The blooming flowers attracted nurous bees and butterflies. One butterfly, in particular, was perched in the midst of the flower, fluttering its wings, remaining motionless.
Qi Tian reached out towards the butterfly. The butterfly hastily flew out from the flower, heading elsewhere. Its speed was incredibly fast, one or two tis faster than the fastest butterfly. It was nearly impossible for anyone to catch it.
Just as the butterfly was about to fly past Qi Tian’s palm, a Transporting Whirlwind flew out from Qi Tian’s palm, heading straight toward the butterfly. Sensing danger, the butterfly desperately flapped its wings, but it was too late. How could the force of the butterfly withstand the pulling power of the Transporting Whirlwind? The butterfly was directly pulled into the black hole in Qi Tian’s palm.
Qi Tian chuckled. He had taken one of the four array nodes. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t have believed that anyone could hide an array node of a defensive barrier within a butterfly’s body. Even if this butterfly was not naturally grown.
Qi Tian then moved to the second array node. This hiding spot was even more astonishing. This array flag was on a wall that had a mural of a marshal holding a banner high. Behind the marshal, an endless line of soldiers were preparing to charge at the enemy under the marshal’s guidance.
Qi Tian reached out and picked a seemingly ordinary flag from the mural. This was the second array node of the defensive barrier he had found.
Qi Tian sent the second array node straight into the Heavenly Dao Engine. He then headed towards the third array node. This ti it was hidden in a big tree, not in a nest on the tree, but disguised as a leaf. It was a leaf being used by a bird to build a nest. Qi Tian was rendered speechless. He had no idea how Zhang Weing had managed to disguise it so cleverly.
When it ca to the fourth array node, it was even more of a test of Qi Tian’s imagination. If it were not for the clear guidance of the Heavenly Dao Engine, Qi Tian would never have figured out where the fourth array node was hidden. The last array node was surprisingly hidden in a rat hole. Qi Tian directly pulled open the rat hole to get the fourth array node.
With the array nodes gone, the defensive barrier set up by Zhang Weing was like a tent that had all its pegs removed. Even if it was sturdy, a gust of wind could blow it away.
Qi Tian let out a loud shout, and struck the defensive barrier with an Eight Desolate Demon Tiger Fist. The previously unassailable defensive barrier shattered instantly, just as if a beautiful soap bubble had been popped.
“Zhang Weing, didn’t you claim you wanted my hand? I’ve personally brought it to you. Co and get it,” Qi Tian said indifferently.
