Chapter 577: Chapter 0383: White Tiger Bloodline_2 Chapter 577: Chapter 0383: White Tiger Bloodline_2 Soon after, a sowhat attractive woman with a hint of stubbornness in her eyes appeared before Qi Tian. She respectfully greeted him, “Master.”
Qi Tian waved his hand, telling Wang Na to sit. “How have you been progressing recently?”
Wang Na hurriedly replied, “Master, I’ve been developing smoothly, but the initial work required is indeed overwhelming. I haven’t been able to amass much power at the mont. However, as long you give so more ti, I’ll certainly fulfill your trust and create a massive force for you.”
Qi Tian nodded. He wasn’t in a rush regarding Wang Na’s work. After all, rushing wouldn’t help. His foundation wasn’t strong in Wanjie City and his cultivation level wasn’t particularly high either. So, developing a considerable power in Wanjie City would be challenging.
Qi Tian asked, “You haven’t taken the Pseudo-True Pill yet, have you?”
Wang Na answered, “Master, I wish to wait a bit longer. If I take the Pseudo-True Pill now and ascend to the Pseudo Core Realm, my opportunities would be ruined. I am not willing to accept that; I want to wait a little more.”
Qi Tian said, “That’s fine, I can wait. I called you over because I want to ask you sothing. Have you seen sothing like this before?”
Qi Tian took out a piece of paper he had prepared beforehand with the sketches of the three cards. His drawing skills were diocre, so even copying didn’t make the sketches very similar. However, he was able to capture the main features of the cards.
Wang Na took the paper and said, “I think I know where these three individuals might co from.”
Qi Tian hurriedly asked, “Where do they co from?”
Wang Na said, “If I am not mistaken, they might be from Peony Lane in the eastern city. Master, don’t be fooled by its beautiful na. In Wanjie City, Peony Lane is infamous, filled with all kinds of dark businesses. There are assassin organizations, human markets, brothels, and other unsavory things you can think of.”
Qi Tian hurriedly said, “Can you draw a map? I want to go there and check it out.”
Wang Na quickly took out a map she had drawn before, circled Peony Lane, and marked their current location. The map was not very well done, tending to be crude, but at least the location of Peony Lane and the general geography weren’t wrong.
Qi Tian imdiately put the map away. Wanjie City was too large and without GPS, he was afraid he would get lost and waste ti.
Qi Tian did not ask Wang Na to follow him. Now was not the appropriate ti to reveal their relationship. It needed more ti.
Leaving the restaurant, Qi Tian directly headed for Peony Lane. Nothing happened along the way. But as they neared Peony Lane, Qi Tian saw people shouting and screaming. It seed like they had discovered a demon that dared to appear during the dayti and called the National Master Manor. The manor sent people to eliminate the demon.
Qi Tian did not expect such an incident to occur. He walked towards the source of the noise. Upon arrival, he found out that it wasn’t like what he thought. Actually, Wanjie City’s Demon Hunting Team had caught so mbers of the demon race and brought them back to sell to the cultivators of Wanjie City. Due to an accident, one of the demons escaped, leading to a pursuit by the Demon Hunting Team. This was the source of the huge commotion. In the process, many unlucky people were injured, and property was damaged. It was fortunate that no lives were lost this ti. In the past, there had been instances where the prey escaped, causing casualties among the residents. Every ti such an incident happened, the Demon Hunting Team had to pay a heavy price. During such tis, it was difficult for the team to make money. However, as long as none of their mbers were killed by the demons, they could still make a good profit.
The Demon Hunting Team also sold demons in Peony Lane. All sorts of demons of various types and levels were on sale. It was said that a long ti ago, a Nascent Soul-level demon even appeared here, and was later bought at a significant cost by a Nascent Soul Old Monster from Wanjie City. However, this is just a legend. No one can confirm the truth of it.
Nowadays, the majority of demons captured by the Demon Hunting Team are at the Qi Cultivation Level, so at the Foundation Establishnt Stage, and very few at the Gold Core Stage, perhaps only once every few months.
Qi Tian followed the crowd into Peony Lane. The place was bustling with people, lively and busy.
The first place Qi Tian entered was the market of the Demon Hunting Team. It was buzzing with captive demons and the market was chaotic and stinky. He noticed quite a number of people haggling over prices at each stall. Once a price was agreed upon, money would exchange hands, along with the rchandise. How the purchasers dealt with the demons varied enormously; so imdiately took them away, so killed them on the spot, while others asked the stallholder to do the killing.
Demons were essentially sentient creatures loaded with Spirit Qi. They could greatly benefit those who consud them. At tis, parts of their bodies could be used for alchemy. Recently, there was a growing trend among cultivators from Wanjie City to kill demons on the street and inspect them for special bloodlines.
The slain demons lay in pools of their own blood. The surviving ones were either shivering or roaring and struggling in anger, while so were expressionless, showing no reaction at all.
Qi Tian took a stroll around the market to see if he could find a Gold Core-Level demon, but to his disappointnt, he did not find any. He then lowered his expectations to look for a demon with a special bloodline, but again, he found nothing. As a last resort, he considered finding a high-level Tiger Demon, but was disappointed to find none.
As Qi Tian was about to leave the market, he suddenly heard soone shouting, “Co take a look! Divine Beast White Tiger bloodline on sale! It will be another hundred years before you get another chance.”
Qi Tian’s heart moved and he quickly headed towards the hawker. But before he could get closer, the hawker was already surrounded by a swarm of cultivators.
“Do you really have the White Tiger’s bloodline?”
“Where is this White Tiger bloodline? Bring them all out to , I’ll buy them all.”
The man who claid to have the White Tiger bloodline said, “Gentlen, no need to rush, the White Tiger bloodline is right here.”
As he said this, he waved his hand and a large pile of crystal bottles appeared on his table. Each crystal bottle was roughly the size of a fist, arranged in three layers which fully occupied the table.
These crystal bottles were all the sa size and shape, and it was almost impossible to tell them apart. Each bottle contained a drop of blood that looked bright red and translucent. It didn’t look like human blood or any ordinary beast’s blood.
“Is this the White Tiger bloodline?” soone pointed at the crystal bottles on the table and asked, “There’s too much, isn’t there?”
The man selling the blood said, “There is indeed White Tiger blood here, but not every bottle contains it. These crystal bottles were found in a cave when my brethren and I were travelling. In addition to these bottles, we also found a notebook. The notebook said that among these bottles, one contains the White Tiger bloodline. However, due to carelessness, he didn’t mark which bottle contained the White Tiger blood, and then accidentally mixed up the bottle with the others. The bloodlines in these bottles vary and so properties are intergenerational and mutually exclusive. They can’t be used carelessly. If used incorrectly, the consequences are unpredictable. Hence, the original owner of these bottles gave up on them.”
