Chapter 1648: Chapter 0972: Can’t Say For Now_2 Chapter 1648: Chapter 0972: Can’t Say For Now_2 Gao Yuqiu and Qi Tian had reached a consensus, and Xiu Zhengyu again displayed an attitude of absolute obedience toward Qi Tian; other team mbers didn’t even have the standing to express their opinions. No longer discussing, they set out on their journey once again, for they now knew their location and thus didn’t face the problem of getting lost in the secret realm.

Qi Tian volunteered with gusto to continue as the vanguard officer, responsible for scouting ahead. At this ti, the rest of the small team also ca to their senses. The fact that Qi Tian was willing to take up this thankless and arduous task surely ant there were benefits unknown to them. Otherwise, why would Qi Tian, with his strength, agree to such a bitter role?

Although they were aware of this, no one attempted to wrestle this task from Qi Tian. The others had the self-awareness to recognize they didn’t possess Qi Tian’s capabilities; even if they could take over the task, they wouldn’t be able to reap the sa benefits Qi Tian might obtain; nor could they eliminate the dangers he could. Thus, no one wanted to volunteer for such an unrewarding task.

The only one who could replace Qi Tian, Xiu Zhengyu, wisely chose to remain silent. He wanted nothing more than to stay as far from Qi Tian as possible and certainly didn’t approach him just to invite disdain.

This ti, the small team’s progress was much faster than before. They pushed on relentlessly and along the way, they encountered several opportunities akin to the Spirit Fruit Forest, and also crossed paths with other young prodigies who had entered the secret realm. However, Qi Tian and his team didn’t stop even once and simply flew past them.

Throughout the journey, although they encountered young prodigies who wanted to attack them, Xiu Zhengyu, without even needing Qi Tian’s prompting, took the initiative to step forward. He didn’t need to lift a finger; rely releasing the aura of his Nascent Soul Master was enough to scare those young prodigies away. Xiu Zhengyu didn’t pursue them to kill them; at this point, these youth, still at the peak of the Gold Core Realm, posed no threat nor held much value to him unless they had sothing that made Xiu Zhengyu envious. Otherwise, he deed them unworthy of his effort.

Successfully, they arrived at the second location Dugu Bosi had ntioned to Gao Yuqiu as a place of opportunity. They searched the area, only to be greatly disappointed. The region clearly showed signs of having been scavenged. Whether there had ever been an opportunity here was unknown; but now, none remained. Qi Tian even specifically used the Heavenly Dao Engine’s scanning feature to search the area but failed to find any trace of opportunity.

All they could do was head for the next site of potential fortune, but the situation there turned out to be no different from the last; this site too had been visited first by others. Every natural treasure or other potentially valuable item that could have been of help to people of their cultivation realm had been completely plundered, leaving nothing behind for them.

After being disappointed twice in a row, Gao Yuqiu’s expression grew increasingly unpleasant. Cheng Jianli suggested to her, “Is it possible that either the Hongxia Fairy or Fairy Yulan reached here before us?”

Gao Yuqiu rely shook her head, not explicitly responding to Cheng Jianli’s question.

Though she didn’t explain, she knew very well that if her fellow sister-disciples had co here ahead of them, they would have definitely contacted her. Just earlier, at the previous site of opportunity, she had used their sect’s special secret technique to try to reach out to her two sister-disciples, but she got no response. Moreover, their master had inford them that while there were so overlaps, the locations of opportunity for the three sister-disciples were not entirely the sa but distributed in different places.

Dugu Bosi had initially arranged it this way to ensure that the three sisters would spread out, preventing disputes over the sa fortune which could harm their sisterly harmony.

The two consecutive misses at the locations of opportunity were likely information that only her master had shared with her, unknown to her two sister-disciples.

Seeing that Gao Yuqiu was reluctant to say anything, the team mbers stopped prying and once more set out towards the next site of opportunity.

Upon arrival, they frustratingly discovered that this site too had been ravaged by others, with the situation indistinguishable from the previous locations.

The situation had developed to the point where Gao Yuqiu could no longer remain calm; once or twice could have been coincidental, but now a similar outco had occurred three tis in succession, making it difficult to claim there wasn’t a problem.

As the team leader, Gao Yuqiu gave an order for all the mbers to stop and take a temporary rest before she summoned Qi Tian and Xiu Zhengyu to her side to discuss the next step in their action plan.

“Three consecutive failures is sothing I never anticipated before. I am unable to make a judgnt that fits the reality, and I would like you two Sirs to discuss this matter with ,” she said.

Xiu Zhengyu asked, “Can you be sure that these three locations of opportunity weren’t visited in advance by your Sect sisters?”

Gao Yuqiu replied, “Master, I can assure you with the honor of our master and disciples, it was definitely not the doing of my Sect sisters.”

Xiu Zhengyu asked again, “If it wasn’t your Sect sisters, then is it possible that they were swept clean by other passing young talents? The number of young talents entering the Holy Land this ti is in hundreds of thousands. When they entered the mystical realm, they had already appeared in different locations within the realm. They could have gotten ahead of us, dug out these secrets, and then swept them clean. It is entirely possible. Perhaps we will encounter similar situations in our subsequent exploratory actions; it’s the will of Heavenly Dao, and we cannot prevent it.”

Gao Yuqiu knew that Xiu Zhengyu’s words made sense, but her intuition told her that things were not so simple. She turned to Qi Tian, waiting for his judgnt.

Qi Tian said, “I already have so clues, but I am not yet fully sure of the real truth of the matter. We need to explore the next mystical realm further; if I can find more clues, I will be able to determine what is actually happening.”

Gao Yuqiu’s eyes brightened imdiately, and she urgently asked, “Sir, can you reveal what exactly the clues are?”

Qi Tian chuckled and said, “All I can say is that the three places where we ca up empty were almost certainly not the work of your Sect sisters, but rather soone else’s doing. As to who specifically it might be, I cannot yet say. However, we must indeed speed up; if we continue like this, we might co up empty at every opportunity hereafter. To avoid this situation, we can only hasten our pace.”

Qi Tian’s remarks, only half-explained, left Gao Yuqiu itching with frustration, but she was forced to stop there, unable to press Qi Tian to reveal more. All she could say was, “Since you have so clues, then we can only rely on you to make the judgnts and decisions. The actions of our small team will completely and thoroughly align with you. Sir, just give your commands, and we will follow.”

Without any hesitation, Qi Tian replied, “Then let’s have everyone stop resting and continue our journey to the next place of opportunity. I hope only that our pace is fast enough, otherwise we will just end up trailing behind others, eating their dust.”

Gao Yuqiu’s beautiful eyes widened fiercely as she tasted the implications of Qi Tian’s words. Was soone really targeting her specifically, beating her to her opportunities and intending to take away all that was supposed to be hers? If so, she swore that if that person ever fell into her hands, she would make them wish they were dead rather than alive.

The small team hastily ended their rest and embarked on their journey again, this ti with increased speed, hoping to reach the next place of opportunity a bit sooner.

However, when they arrived at the next destination, they were shocked to discover an arid wasteland where the Spirit Qi was extrely sparse, not at all suggestive of a place with any opportunity.
