Chapter 1527: Chapter 0880: I Have ridian Skills, Only Help Those Destined Chapter 1527: Chapter 0880: I Have ridian Skills, Only Help Those Destined Chapter 0880: I Have the ridian Skills, But I Heal Only Those with Kist
Ever since Qi Tian entered the tavern, he utilized the sensing feature of the Heavenly Dao Engine to cover and intensively monitor the entire tavern and parts of the surrounding area, especially the tavern itself as it was the focal point of interest.
During his exploration, Qi Tian identified a few individuals who warranted special attention, among whom was Zhang Shuguang. It wasn’t that Zhang Shuguang’s cultivation realm was particularly profound or that he harbored any great secrets; rather, Zhang Shuguang was simply too wealthy. He was like a luminous gold mine walking on two feet.
Despite Zhang Shuguang’s outwardly ordinary appearance, which seed not much different from a typical Gold Core Realm cultivator and perhaps only slightly more resplendent, this was rely a facade ant to deceive observers. What made Zhang Shuguang truly formidable were the layers of concealnt he wore, such as his highly advanced inner armor. Among all the Gold Core Realm cultivators Qi Tian had seen in his life, none could asure up to Zhang Shuguang, and even when counting all the Nascent Soul Masters he had encountered, only a handful could rival Zhang Shuguang in terms of inner armor.
From this alone, one could deduce Zhang Shuguang’s imnse wealth. The armor he wore was by no ans his only precious possession; the rings, bracelets, necklaces, and engraved talismans on his person were, without exception, treasures among treasures. Any one of these items, if put up for sale, would fetch a city’s ransom.
Setting aside his cultivation realm, based purely on wealth within this private room, Zhang Shuguang was certainly without equal. Even Wang Xuechang and Ji Liya, the two Nascent Soul Masters, fell short in comparison.
Qi Tian now preferred to deal with those who didn’t lack spirit stones because he needed to amass a great number of spirit stones in the shortest possible ti. To achieve this goal, he had to engage with the wealthy, as the profit from dealing with one rich individual could exceed the combined earnings from a hundred impoverished cultivators.
Qi Tian glanced at Zhang Shuguang with a faint smile, and with a trace of amusent, said, “I have the ridian Skills, but I heal only those with kist. Sir Zhang doesn’t seem to have any trouble with cultivation, reaching the Late Gold Core Stage at your age. With a bit more effort, breaking through to the Nascent Soul Stage is completely within the realm of possibility for you. What concerns could you possibly have?”
Zhang Shuguang sighed and seed unsure of how to begin, when Rong Guanghui eagerly interjected, “Senior, you may not be aware, but Brother Shuguang has a beloved son, the apple of his eye, the hope of their family. They expect him to eventually take over the family business. However, several years ago, in an incident where his beloved son joined an expedition at sea and encountered a group of demonic beasts, he fought bravely but sustained serious injuries. When they managed to bring him back to Haishan City, he was nearly at death’s door. Brother Shuguang spared no expense in hiring renowned physicians and sohow managed to pull his son back from the brink of death. Although the son was saved, the injuries had caused severe damage and blockages in many of his ridians, so of which held the potential for repair, but most others seed beyond hope of nding. Over the years, Brother Shuguang has sought out many thods, but to little avail. Now that we’ve encountered you, I thought imdiately of Brother Shuguang’s plight and inford him of your abilities. Brother Shuguang is willing to try and respectfully asks for your aid.”
Looking at Zhang Shuguang, who responded with a wry smile and a respectful bow, he said, “I implore you, Senior, please save my beloved son. Regardless of the outco, I will offer a generous reward.”
Qi Tian replied, “Let’s set aside the matter of paynt for now; bring your son here first. I need to see whether there is any hope of saving him. Once I have assessed his condition, we can discuss further.”
Zhang Shuguang promptly turned and left the private room to fetch his son. After about the ti it takes to brew and drink a cup of tea, Zhang Shuguang returned with a young man who appeared gaunt and withered. Zhang Shuguang led him in, pressing gently on his shoulders to signal that he should kneel before Qi Tian.
The young man seed like a soul barely clinging to his body, allowing others to manipulate him at will; he did as Zhang Shuguang directed.
After the young man kneeled, Zhang Shuguang addressed Qi Tian, “Senior, this is my son, Zhang Rusheng, the hope of our entire family. Please, can you see if there’s still a chance to save him?”
Qi Tian had already used the Heavenly Dao Engine’s sensing ability to assess Zhang Rusheng’s condition and had a complete understanding of it. Nevertheless, he placed his hand on Zhang Rusheng’s wrist in front of everyone and, closing his eyes slightly, pretended to examine him thoroughly.
As Zhang Shuguang said, Zhang Rusheng’s state was deplorable, with nurous ridians broken or blocked, akin to fresh noodles that had been chopped several tis and then carelessly tossed into a bowl. The situation was indeed dire.
After a mont, Qi Tian opened his eyes and removed his hand from Zhang Rusheng’s wrist, his expression one of contemplative gravity.
Zhang Shuguang watched Qi Tian expectantly, valuing Zhang Rusheng imnsely and, up to this point, had not given up on his son. The reason was straightforward: Zhang Rusheng had a talent far superior to his other sons.
Cultivation was a matter of innate ability, and only those with superior gifts could hope to travel far on the path of cultivation. Zhang Shuguang, owner of a tavern that made a fortune every day, had long since incited the envy of many. To protect his tavern, he needed more than just powerful connections; he himself had to be formidable, at least possessing a Late Gold Core Realm cultivation or, ideally, breaking through to the Nascent Soul Stage. His other sons lacked the potential to achieve this; if the tavern fell into their hands after his death, it would almost certainly be usurped. Only in Zhang Rusheng’s hands could the tavern be secured. Yet, fate had cruelly chosen his most talented son to fall victim to this tragedy.
