Chapter 1474: Chapter 0846: Barely Trustworthy Character Chapter 1474: Chapter 0846: Barely Trustworthy Character Chapter 0846: Trustworthy to a Degree

After warning Qi Tian, Wu Jiahui and the others carried Xu Xinge aside for treatnt.

This scene surprised many spectators from the Nascent Soul Masters, setting aside whether Qi Tian’s earlier remarks were justified; the Cultivation World had never been a place that reasoned. Purely from the perspective of power dynamics, Wu Jiahui and his group had no reason to yield. Yet, surprisingly, they were completely grasped by Qi Tian’s argunts, even though they held an absolute advantage in strength. They had no choice but to retreat and make concessions. Such an occurrence naturally shocked those enjoying the scene, as people from the Ink Flood Dragon Association seldom ever backed down. Today was the first ti many of them had witnessed such an event, forcing them to regard Qi Tian with added caution when they looked at him again.

Qi Tian did not care what the others thought. He pointed to another Nascent Soul Master he had brought out and said, “Hasn’t a friend or relative of this Sir co forward? Even if not, is your Sui’an City willing to just watch while your comrade, who fought for your interests, lies dying, without caring for his life, staying on the sidelines?”

The Nascent Soul Masters from Sui’an City had been rely spectators and truly, no one had thought about rescuing the Nascent Soul Master Qi Tian had brought out. The reason was simple; this Master, even though not entirely alone in his sect in Sui’an City, was the only Nascent Soul Master there. He was severely injured and on the brink of death, and it was unknown how many were hoping he would not recover, passing away instead. As for those who usually were outwardly friendly with him, they were reluctant to waste precious healing elixirs on him, because, at their level of cultivation, such elixirs were extrely scarce and valuable—one less with each use. Everyone thought of keeping them for their own protection, who would want to use an elixir on an outsider?

However, that was just monts ago, and there had been no issue with that approach, as no one had publicly addressed the matter, and they could continue to deceive themselves, pretending to be unaware. But now, Qi Tian had brought the matter into the open; if they continued to pretend ignorance and refused to produce elixirs to save the man, then Sui’an City would end up embarrassing itself among the Nascent Soul Masters of the two major Sacred Cultivation Places, just like the Ink Flood Dragon Association had.

With no other choice, two Nascent Soul Masters from Sui’an City stepped forward and carried their colleague back. As for whether anyone would treat him upon their return, that was no longer Qi Tian’s concern.

Qi Tian glanced at the group of Nascent Soul Masters from Wanjie City, searching for the people from National Master Manor. Earlier, when Wu Jiahui and others from the Ink Flood Dragon Association confronted him, Qi Tian had not expected his fellow sect mbers from National Master Manor to step forward to assist him, but at the very least, he had hoped they would speak a few words on his behalf to bolster his authority, which would have been beneficial. However, he had not received any support from them from start to finish, deepening his disappointnt. He planned to have a serious discussion with his fellow sect mbers from National Master Manor, even if it did not lead to a resolution, just to let them know he would not accept being slighted in silence.

Soon, Qi Tian located the spot where his peers from National Master Manor were gathered, with Mansion Master Yi Xuwen leading the team. All the Nascent Soul Masters from National Master Manor had arrived, with none missing. Among them was Sun Xiqi, who had entered the secret realm with Qi Tian; his aura wasn’t stable, apparently having suffered losses in the secret realm battles and had escaped early. However, he had not yet fully recovered.

A spark of sharpness flashed through Qi Tian’s eyes as he walked towards Yi Xuwen and his group.

Yi Xuwen and the others had seen Qi Tian approaching, and they could roughly guess his mood. However, none of them showed any indication of embarrassnt; they all appeared indifferent, as if Qi Tian’s earlier confrontation had nothing to do with them.

Just as Qi Tian was about to reach Yi Xuwen and his group, suddenly two Nascent Soul Masters stepped forward, blocking Qi Tian’s path, one on each side.

“Sir, please stop.” One of the Nascent Soul Masters extended his hand in a stopping gesture.

Qi Tian glanced at him, noticing a Nascent Soul Master whom he did not recognize, though he was dressed similarly to Wu Jiahui and his group, with only minor differences in the details—one could tell that this Master likely also belonged to the Ink Flood Dragon Association.

The other Nascent Soul Master blocking Qi Tian was from Wanjie Comrce, and was indeed the Vice-chairman of the Comrce who had previously tried to recruit Qi Tian, Lu Songsheng.

Qi Tian halted, asking, “May I know why you two Masters are blocking my way? What is the matter?”

Lu Songsheng said, “Qi Sir, let introduce you first, this is Vice-chairman Ge Pengcheng of the Ink Flood Dragon Association. You may address him as Master Ge.”

Qi Tian nodded and gave a bow to Ge Pengcheng. “I pay my respects to Master Ge.”

Ge Pengcheng snorted coldly. He had clearly seen how Qi Tian had verbally bested Wu Jiahui earlier. If not for their side being in the wrong and the presence of so many onlookers today, he would have already ordered Wu Jiahui and the others to take Qi Tian down. He wasn’t even willing to offer Qi Tian a perfunctory greeting, imdiately asking bluntly, “Up to this point, you are the last one to co out from the secret realm. I want to ask, is there still any of our Wanjie City allies left inside? Think carefully before you answer. Your response could very well affect the ownership of the secret realm and has significant implications for your National Master Manor.”
