Chapter 1373: Chapter 0781: The Past Chapter 1373: Chapter 0781: The Past Chapter 0781: The Past

“Prince,” you’re absolutely right. To seek benevolence is to receive benevolence, to seek righteousness is to receive righteousness. Whatever you desire will find its way to you. Such things are indeed perfect.”

As these words were uttered, Qi Tian’s voice lazily rang out at this mont, free from any trace of tension.

The Prince abruptly turned his head, a sombre look in his eyes as he glared at Qi Tian and said, “Everything that happened today in Southern City was instigated by you. Do you think you’re impressive, just because you sent out a few ssage paper cranes and summoned so Princes? Wrong. If you really feel that way, it only goes to show how shallow you are. You have no idea what true power looks like in this world. I had no intention of dealing with you, but you insisted on making noise, as if you couldn’t prove your existence otherwise. Since you’re so keen on showing off, let teach you that it’s better to keep a low profile. The likes of you are prone to disaster, and one careless mont could cost you your life.”

As the Prince finished speaking, a portion of his majestic aura was released, rolling towards Qi Tian to crush him. In his eyes, dealing with Qi Tian required no extensive thod—rely this pressure should suffice to exact a heavy toll on Qi Tian, if not outright kill him, at least seriously injure him and strip him of any ability to resist.

A cold smile appeared on Qi Tian’s lips. With a wave of his hand, a ghastly face materialized in front of him. It wasn’t particularly large, no bigger than a washbasin, positioned before Qi Tian. Opening its mouth, it let out a roaring shriek.

That roar instantly transford into a fierce gale, which blew the Prince’s crushing aura away as if it was mist, leaving no trace behind. Then, without pause, the gale continued, blowing towards the Prince.

The Prince had no ti to react and was sent flying into the sky like a baseball struck by a bat.

The Prince was dazed, at first unable to comprehend what had just transpired. How did that ghost-like face appear? Why was it so powerful? It didn’t make sense. He had thoroughly investigated the Imperial Family Secret Territory and found no one with strength surpassing his. The investigation couldn’t have been wrong, so why was there such a massive oversight now, with such a being erging?

The mont of confusion was brief; after all, the Prince was no ordinary man. As Emperor Tian Rui’s Prince, he was considerably older, at least several tis Qi Tian’s age. However, among cultivators, he was still considered young. His attainnt of such a level in just a few decades spoke volus of his intelligence and emotional quotient. Even before he touched the ground, his thoughts returned to normal, piecing together everything: that ghastly face in front of Qi Tian must be of the Nascent Soul Stage. Only then could it all be explained—why Qi Tian could command so many Princes within the Imperial Family Secret Territory, and why the Prince was so easily defeated.

Realizing this, the Prince made an instant decision. Qi Tian, with such power at his disposal, was an increasing threat if the confrontation continued. Without any ans to directly withstand that ghostly face, the best plan was to flee as fast and far as possible, get away from Qi Tian, and find soplace safe to hide. After the dust settled, he could reerge and look for a better opportunity.

Before he even hit the ground, the Prince released a flying sword, leapt onto it, and attempted to escape.

Qi Tian wasn’t about to let the Prince flee so easily. He waved his hand again, this ti releasing a black heart. As soon as it appeared, it throbbed violently a few tis and then unleashed a powerful spirit attack towards the Prince.

From birth to that point, the Prince had never faced such a formidable spiritual assault. He had almost no experience and no particular defenses in this regard. When the spiritual force hit his sea of consciousness, the Prince felt darkness envelop him and lost control of his body. He plumted from the sky like a bird downed by an arrow, crashing to the ground with broken bones, spewing blood, and losing at least half a life.

Pointing at the Prince, Qi Tian said to Emperor Jianwu, “Go see if he’s dead or not. If he’s alive, drag him over here. If he’s dead, chop off his head to prevent him from faking his death like earlier.”

Emperor Jianwu had been tornted by the Prince, desiring both life and death. Yet, in just a few short seconds, the situation turned starkly. The seemingly invincible Prince was easily dealt with by Qi Tian, beyond any of his expectations. However, this also snapped him back to realityclear. He chose to stay by Qi Tian’s side, otherwise, how could he witness such drama unfold?

Emperor Jianwu flew to the Prince’s side and conducted a thorough examination, taking extra care not to overlook anything. In the end, he confird that although the Prince wasn’t dead, he had sustained grave injuries and was incapacitated, unlikely to die imminently but utterly devoid of combat ability.
