Chapter 1284: Chapter 0736: Preparing to Set Soone Up_2 Chapter 1284: Chapter 0736: Preparing to Set Soone Up_2 Compared to the Sound Transmission Array, Qi Tian had a better thod. He planned to leave a Transporting Whirlwind at each location where he intended to set a trap, using the Transporting Whirlwind to replace the work of the Sound Transmission Array. Once Manager Chen popped up from one of the traps, the Transporting Whirlwind could react in the shortest amount of ti. It was much faster than using a Sensing Array.

Truth be told, for Qi Tian at this mont, the biggest challenge wasn’t the previously ntioned issues. Since he had chosen to use Millennium Corpse Water for setting traps, he then needed to find suitable containers for the Millennium Corpse Water, and in no small quantity. This was the real difficult problem for Qi Tian.

It was not like Qi Tian could just take out the Corpse Water Bottle to arrange the traps. Not to ntion the preciousness of the Corpse Water Bottle, even if Qi Tian was willing to use it, there was only one Corpse Water Bottle, but there were more than a dozen traps to be set. The discrepancy was simply too large.

Qi Tian could only set his sights on the walls of the previous Saint’s Tomb. This material was not only sturdy but also resistant to the corrosion of Millennium Corpse Water; there was no more suitable material for Qi Tian.

In the previous battles, Qi Tian had already turned several walls into rubble. These stones no longer had much utility, so Qi Tian simply took them out, planning to carve so containers out of them to hold the Millennium Corpse Water for the traps.

This task might sound simple, but it was not easy. Though the material was plentiful and adequate for Qi Tian’s use, its hardness was truly great. Not to ntion carving these fragnts into containers for Millennium Corpse Water, just cutting the larger pieces into the right size was a very troubleso matter. Qi Tian needed to wield a Nascent Soul Master’s flying sword with much effort and spend a great deal of ti just to cut a stone fragnt to the right size.

The entire process was extrely inefficient. If he continued at this rate, even just completing this step might take several days.

Qi Tian simply couldn’t delay, so he thought about it and turned to the Lustrous Sand. During the previous visit to the Saint’s Tomb, he had made the Lustrous Sand beco very small grinding wheels to drill into the walls, which had been very successful. Now, he could similarly make use of Lustrous Sand.

Upon receiving Qi Tian’s instructions, Lustrous Sand imdiately began to change shape. This ti, it didn’t turn into grinding wheels but transford instead into the circular saw blades as Qi Tian required, then started spinning rapidly, cutting into the varying-sized stone fragnts.

Lustrous Sand worked with remarkable speed and efficiency. After all, it excelled at speedy tasks, not to ntion several of the yellow sand grains around it had reached the Nascent Soul Stage, making it extrely easy to deal with the stone fragnts.

With the help of Lustrous Sand, Qi Tian quickly cut out hundreds of thumb-sized stone pieces. Then, Qi Tian had the Lustrous Sand change form again to begin grinding and hollowing these pre-cut stone pieces. In the end, each stone had been shaped into a fine, small bottle with very thin walls, about five or six milliliters in volu.

By the ti Lustrous Sand finished grinding all the stones, another day had passed. This pace was imasurably faster than if Qi Tian had done the work himself.

Now that he had containers, the subsequent tasks were easier to handle. Qi Tian ticuously arranged traps in every location he felt was worthy and, without a sound, buried several dozen small vials filled with Millennium Corpse Water at these sites. Moreover, Qi Tian placed a Transporting Whirlwind next to each small vial according to his original plan.

Every trap was like this, without exception. Transporting Whirlwind was also placed at each trap location. They would beco Qi Tian’s eyes and executioners in the area of the traps, ready to strike without hesitation whenever Qi Tian needed them to.

In the blink of an eye, all the traps were set up, and Qi Tian was ready to cause trouble for Manager Chen. His first move wasn’t towards the gate of the Inner Underground Palace but towards the large stone that had blocked the Outer Tomb Door. He now wanted to thoroughly study this stone.

This stone was also a focal point for Qi Tian’s trap setting; after all, it had been the very spot from which Manager Chen had suddenly erged. There might be a chance that Manager Chen would repeat his trick, escaping once again from the sa spot.

Qi Tian still hoped to keep the initiative in his own hands. He wanted to see whether he had the opportunity to decode the secrets hidden within this great stone. To tell the truth, the secret wasn’t particularly valuable. If Qi Tian’s predictions were correct, there would definitely be a small space inside the stone, likely containing a Teleportation Array that could easily transport Manager Chen from within the stone directly into the Inner Underground Palace.

Qi Tian pondered whether he could send a few ghost faces into the inside of the stone to find the Teleportation Array, and then use it to transport directly into the Inner Underground Palace. Alternatively, he might go for broke and destroy the Teleportation Array inside the stone, forever cutting off Manager Chen’s possibility of escape from within the stone.

In the previous Saint’s Tomb, nearly every ghost face had set up its ho in similar walls. Now asking them to enter the interior of this large stone should be familiar territory for them; they were not expected to encounter any problems.

Qi Tian summoned nine ghost faces to him, shared his ideas with them, and then asked them to volunteer, curious to see who would be willing to take such a risk for him.

The ghost faces looked at each other, and none stepped forward to volunteer at this mont. They knew themselves best. Even though they had spent a great deal of ti within similar stones in the past, this didn’t an they would be incredibly lucky and could easily enter the stone that blocked the Outer Tomb Door.

They had been able to freely enter and exit the walls in the previous Saint’s Tomb because they had mastered the workings of the Sensing Array on the walls. It was as if they had a key to unlock them. If they could match the code, they could enter without any difficulty. But now, they knew nothing about the sort of array inside this stone, and to enter rashly would be fraught with significant risk.

Qi Tian had hoped that the ghost faces would take the initiative, but they displayed such reluctance, which disappointed him. So, without wasting more ti, he began to directly appoint them, choosing two ghost faces with higher cultivation levels and strengths. He then ordered them to burrow into the huge stone that blocked the passage.

The two ghost faces, with worried expressions but not daring to defy Qi Tian’s command, braced themselves and charged at the giant stone. Just when they thought they were about to et their doom upon collision, there was no incident of them being battered against the stone. No aggressive counterasures erged from the stone. It simply allowed the two ghost faces to collide with it, and at the mont of impact, ripples suddenly appeared. Following that, as if breaking through a calm lake’s surface, the two ghost faces pierced the ripples and rushed into the stone, imdiately vanishing from sight.

Qi Tian was montarily stunned, but he quickly regained his composure. He could still distinctly sense the breath of the two ghost faces, which made it clear to him that they hadn’t died. They had, as he had wished, successfully entered the inside of the great stone.
