Chapter 1280: Chapter 0735: Expect the Unexpected_2 Chapter 1280: Chapter 0735: Expect the Unexpected_2 However, in the next instant, Manager Chen felt a chilling sensation run down his spine. He saw Qi Tian, who was still slumped on the ground, but a smile had already appeared on the corners of Qi Tian’s mouth, and he had mysteriously produced a bottle in his hand.

It was this bottle that scared Manager Chen out of his wits; he recognized it. The Corpse Water Bottle, a magical artifact capable of holding Millennium Corpse Water.

“Surprised or not, pleased or not?” Qi Tian looked at Manager Chen with a smirk, “Didn’t you tell to use all my tricks? Congratulations on pushing to reveal my ace. Let’s see, Manager Chen, if you will feel fear?”

Where would Manager Chen dare to hesitate any longer? Had he known Qi Tian possessed such an abnormal item like the Corpse Water Bottle, he would have crushed Qi Tian into dust with thunderous force right from the start. Now, he needed to get to Qi Tian as quickly as possible to kill him, no matter what, he couldn’t afford to let Qi Tian activate the Corpse Water Bottle.

But before Manager Chen could even move, the sound of sprinkling water fell from above his head. Manager Chen didn’t know that while he had been using all his strength to deal with the large rock thrown by Qi Tian, Qi Tian had quietly taken out the Corpse Water Bottle. Then, Qi Tian released so Millennium Corpse Water from the bottle, letting the Transporting Whirlwind carry the Corpse Water silently over Manager Chen’s head, quietly waiting for this mont to arrive.

The amount of Millennium Corpse Water released by Qi Tian wasn’t much, gathered together, it was only about the volu of two or three sea bowls. But despite its small quantity, the inherently malicious nature of the Millennium Corpse Water was destructive to all beings in the Cultivation World, whether cultivators or undead creatures like Manager Chen. Once they ca into contact with Millennium Corpse Water, it would inflict irreparable damage, akin to a human being splashed with sulfuric acid from just a touch.

Under Qi Tian’s deliberate control, the Transporting Whirlwind acted like a watering can, evenly sprinkling the Millennium Corpse Water and covering a considerable range, considering all possible directions Manager Chen might dodge to.

When Manager Chen realized the danger, it was already a bit too late. Plus, the location where the Millennium Corpse Water was falling was very close to him, he was imdiately hit. At this ti, it beca clear just how effective Manager Chen’s profound level of cultivation could be. He had no ti to think further and could only rely on his instinct, honed over many years, to respond.

He struck upwards towards his head with his palm, and a surge of Spirit Force flew from his hand, carving a passage for him. Then, Manager Chen ran out following this passage.

As the majority of Manager Chen’s body entered this passage, he was fortunate enough to avoid the pouring Millennium Corpse Water. However, his left arm was not so lucky, as a sizable amount of the Corpse Water landed on it. The left arm tainted with Millennium Corpse Water deteriorated rapidly, visibly lting like snow under hot water, emitting foul-slling yellow blood dripping down from Manager Chen’s left arm, dissolving bits of flesh, bone, and sinew where it passed.

Manager Chen let out a piercing scream. Not daring to waste any ti, he used his palm as a blade, swinging it down on his left shoulder. His left arm detached from his body and fell to the ground, sizzling as it almost instantaneously vanished, completely dissolved by the Millennium Corpse Water.

Manager Chen glared at Qi Tian bitterly. With Qi Tian in possession of such a devastating weapon like the Millennium Corpse Water, even if he could overpower Qi Tian, he dared not continue the fight. He quickly ran towards the large stone blocking the entrance to the Outer Palaces, the stone rippling as he approached. Manager Chen charged through, his whole body disappearing instantly, followed by the vanishing ripples.

Watching Manager Chen flee, Qi Tian let out a long sigh of relief. Despite possessing the Millennium Corpse Water, this only ant he could harm Manager Chen and make him pay a heavy price. However, if Manager Chen decided to fight to the death recklessly, it was still possible they would die together. Fortunately, Manager Chen feared death far more than Wang Fengna, preventing the most worrying scenario from unfolding.

Qi Tian’s control over the Corpse Water Bottle collected all of the Millennium Corpse Water that had spilled onto the ground. This stuff recognized neither kin nor foe and could not be allowed to spill recklessly outside; just in case he accidentally ca into contact with it, he would end up like Manager Chen. He certainly did not desire to follow in Manager Chen’s footsteps, willing to chop off his own arm for self-preservation.

Qi Tian then gathered all the ghost faces around him to check their condition. These ghost faces had sustained considerable damage from Manager Chen’s onslaught but none of them were fatal. With so rest, they would recover. They were no longer the sa type of beings as cultivators; healing dicine for cultivators was no longer suitable for them. Qi Tian thought about giving them Spiritual Elixirs to speed up their healing, but that was impossible. However, this did not pose a problem for Qi Tian.

Although the ghost faces could not consu the cultivators’ elixirs, providing them with so pure energy for their use was still a viable option.

After so thought, Qi Tian, seriously injured and in need of protection, considered speeding up the recovery of the ghost faces as his top priority. Using spirit stones or Spirit Liquid for their recovery was sowhat slow, so he thought of using the reserve fuel from the Heavenly Dao Engine instead. This substance could be converted into the Spirit Force he needed for cultivation and presumably could also be transford into the ghost force needed for the ghost faces’ cultivation.

With a thought and a flick of his wrist, a bowl appeared in Qi Tian’s palm, filled to the brim with fuel freshly taken from the reservoir of the Heavenly Dao Engine.

This was the first ti Qi Tian had taken the Heavenly Dao Engine’s fuel outside his body. The fuel was of a pure golden color, crystal clear, with an appearance alone that was very enticing. But what truly attracted one’s attention was the pure Spirit Qi that the fuel emitted, clear and free of any impurities, as if it could envelop everything in the world.

The ghost faces, battered and drained, perked up the mont Qi Tian presented the fuel from the Heavenly Dao Engine. They stared wide-eyed, mouths ajar, drooling at the sight as if a gourt had caught the scent of a top-grade delicacy, their drool flowing half a foot long.

Seeing such a reaction, Qi Tian knew without asking that the Heavenly Dao Engine’s fuel must be effective for them, and the effect was surely not small, for the ghost faces wouldn’t be drooling like this otherwise.

Qi Tian had the ghost faces line up and then began distributing the Heavenly Dao Engine’s fuel to them. He didn’t give them too much; according to their injuries and individual strength, the most any ghost face received was half a bowl, and the least received only half of that. Despite the small quantity, once the ghost faces ingested the Heavenly Dao Engine’s fuel, they felt their wounded bodies rapidly healing. In no ti, they had all returned to health, reaching their peak condition once again.

The ghost faces looked longingly at Qi Tian, hoping he would bestow upon them more fuel from the Heavenly Dao Engine.

Yet Qi Tian put the bowl away and said, “Do you realize how precious this Spirit Liquid is? If it weren’t for the fact that you were seriously injured while protecting , I wouldn’t have considered using this Spirit Liquid for you. Rember what happened today, and as long as you continue to be as loyal as you were today, willing to protect at all costs when I am in danger, then perhaps, when I am in a good mood, I might bestow this Spirit Liquid upon you for usage. Now, stop gazing at and quickly go stand guard. Don’t let anything disturb .”

Hearing this, the ghost faces one by one showed looks of yearning, turning around and scattering, looking for suitable locations to form a protective formation for Qi Tian.
