Chapter 1217: Chapter 0704: Grinding Wheel Cutting Chapter 1217: Chapter 0704: Grinding Wheel Cutting Chapter 0704: Grinding Wheel Cutting

Previously, every ti Qi Tian used a flying sword of a Nascent Soul Master, it was an imnse challenge for him. Although it would not cost him half his life each ti, every attempt would push him to his limits, draining all of his True Essence and leaving him between life and death, in indescribable pain. This ti, had it not been for the desperate situation, Qi Tian would absolutely have been unwilling to undertake such a task.

However, this ti, Qi Tian discovered that his condition when using the flying sword was much better than before. Not only did he successfully stab the flying sword over an inch into the wall, but the depletion of his own body also seed within his limits to bear. It did not drain him dry like before; he was still able to clearly feel his body and sense that he had a little strength left.

This made Qi Tian feel much better, and the success also greatly bolstered his confidence. There were twelve walls here—if every wall required him to walk on the edge of life and death, it would definitely not be a pleasant experience for him. Now that he could avoid such ordeals, he was naturally very pleased.

Of course, the joy was but a fleeting thought in Qi Tian’s mind. He hadn’t even penetrated the first wall, so talking about anything further was pointless. He took a deep breath, bit the wax pellet in his mouth, and the Spirit Milk Ointnt rapidly dissolved, transforming into pure Spirit Qi that replenished his depleted energy. At the sa ti, the Heavenly Dao Engine’s reserve fuel continuously entered his ridians, replenishing their dryness.

Qi Tian’s True Essence swiftly recovered. His hands gripping the flying sword tightly, True Essence poured continuously into the sword. Then, with a loud shout from Qi Tian and his tight grip on the hilt of the flying sword, he pushed the sword further into the wall, hoping to pierce through with it.

This task sounded simple, but in practice, it was extraordinarily difficult. Although the flying sword could break through walls, Qi Tian couldn’t bring out its strongest combat capabilities. Instead, he was relying on the inherent sharpness of the flying sword to penetrate the wall—the most rudintary and True Essence-consuming thod. Yet, apart from this, he truly didn’t have any other way to wield the flying sword at hand.

So much so that each ti Qi Tian tried to thrust the flying sword through the wall, the further he pushed, the faster the required True Essence consumption skyrocketed disproportionately.

Qi Tian exerted all his strength, desperately pushing the flying sword forward. At the end, he had used up all his might, channeling all his True Essence into the sword. Then, gritting his teeth, he made a furious effort. If he still couldn’t pierce the wall with the flying sword this ti, Qi Tian really didn’t know whether he would be able to find more ways to resolve the deadlock he was currently facing.

Moreover, Qi Tian was worried about another issue—that the length of the flying sword was limited. If he stabbed the sword to the hilt and still couldn’t penetrate the wall, Qi Tian didn’t know what to do. Perhaps at that mont, he could only leave it to fate and reluctantly accept reality.

Very soon, the flying sword reached its limit, and just as Qi Tian worried, he couldn’t feel the sword breaking through anything. On the contrary, it seed as though the wall was thicker than the length of the sword.

This implied that he needed to switch to a longer flying sword to possibly penetrate the wall, but this wasn’t sothing that could easily be achieved. After all, most flying swords were roughly the sa length; even if so were slightly longer than the one he held, they were only marginally so. Switching weapons might not guarantee piercing through the wall. Besides, Qi Tian had already exerted all his energy. Even if he found a flying sword of comparable quality and slightly greater length, he wouldn’t be able to handle it to accomplish the feat of piercing the wall.

Qi Tian felt unwilling, but there was nothing he could do. He sighed and prepared to withdraw the flying sword to rest for a while. He planned to try again with the flying sword in other places after adjusting to see if he could find a section of the wall that was relatively weaker. Perhaps he still had the chance to break through.

If this thod didn’t work, then Qi Tian would only have another, more foolish thod to resort to—that was to treat the flying sword like a dagger and slowly chip away at the wall. More vividly put, it would be like digging a hole in the wall. As long as he persevered without fearing depletion, he could use the flying sword to eventually carve out a hole in the wall.

Withdrawing the flying sword was much easier than stabbing it in. Without much effort, Qi Tian pulled out the sword. Just when he was about to put the sword away and rest in ditation, he suddenly felt sothing was amiss—as if sothing had flown out of the hole left by the withdrawn sword.

A thought flashed in Qi Tian’s mind. He quickly utilized the Spirit Qi sensing function of the Heavenly Dao Engine and probed into the hole, eager to see what changes had occurred within.

Soon, Qi Tian discovered that at the very bottom of the hole left by the flying sword, there appeared a tiny pinhole-sized opening. Through this insignificant hole, the Spirit Qi sensing feature of the Heavenly Dao Engine could actually penetrate and detect what lay beyond the wall. In other words, Qi Tian’s recent trial with the flying sword had in fact pierced the wall after all. However, it was ironic— the length of the sword and the thickness of the wall were almost a match, resulting in only such a tiny pinhole-like breakthrough.
