Chapter 1063: Chapter 0627: Many Doubts_1 Chapter 1063: Chapter 0627: Many Doubts_1 Chapter 0627: Doubts Abound

Li Mijia had once ntioned that he had opened the gift box, inspected the items inside, and confird there were no problems before bringing the gift box to Qi Tian. However, given Qi Tian’s deep skepticism towards Emperor Yonghe, he was not very trusting of Li Mijia’s inspection results.

To ensure that no accidents occurred, Qi Tian did not imdiately open the gift box. Instead, he placed it on a table in the palace and instructed, “Everyone, leave. Without my order, no one is allowed to co in.”

Li Mijia, Hu Tianyu, and the others didn’t know what Qi Tian was planning to do, but no one dared to disobey Qi Tian’s command; they all obediently withdrew from the palace. As for Gao Jini and Xia Xiaoming, they heeded Qi Tian’s every word and had already made their way out of the palace even before Li Mijia and the others.

Qi Tian was well aware of the enormous explosive power that a half-step Nascent Soul-level artifact could unleash. Even though the palace was very spacious, if the staff-like war weapon sent by Emperor Yonghe were to detonate, the entire palace would be leveled.

To ensure his safety, Qi Tian donned a set of half-step Nascent Soul-level armor and equipped accessories of the sa level. With these defensive asures in place, even if the war weapon might explode, Qi Tian could ensure his own safety.

After that, Qi Tian retreated to the palace’s main gate. He shut the gate and then stood behind it, activating the “Heavenly Dao Engine’s” sensitivity to Spirit Qi. He began a rigorous and careful search of the items in the gift box, not overlooking any detail to ensure that nothing was amiss.

Soon, Qi Tian had thoroughly inspected the gift box and the items inside it.

First, Qi Tian identified the key point of suspicion; it was certain that a slender gift box did indeed contain a half-step Nascent Soul-level staff, this point was undeniable.

Second, the gift box was just an ordinary box. Despite its refined craftsmanship, there was not a trace of Spirit Qi on it, no prohibitions, and no arrays—very ordinary.

Third, as for the item in the gift box, which was the staff-like war weapon gifted to Qi Tian by Emperor Yonghe, it beca the focus of Qi Tian’s scrutiny. This war weapon’s quality, material, craftsmanship, and so on were indeed top-notch. Even when compared with other half-step Nascent Soul-level artifacts, it was quite impressive—certainly at least mid-range within its category.

Qi Tian examined the war weapon ticulously, from top to bottom, inside and out, much like a CT scan, leaving no inch unscrutinized. If there were any issues with this weapon, then the problem crafted by Emperor Yonghe would undoubtedly lie within it. Qi Tian hoped to uncover it.

Initially, Qi Tian focused his search on all the prohibitions, arrays, and runes present on the weapon. After completing his search, he used the three-dinsional images fed back by the “Heavenly Dao Engine” to construct an array layout diagram in his mind, labeling all the prohibitions, arrays, and runes in their corresponding locations.

After completing this step, Qi Tian was surprised to find no trace of any issues. Qi Tian had spent a considerable period cultivating and paid great attention to collecting and learning about arrays and prohibitions. He considered himself quite proficient in this area. Logically, if Emperor Yonghe had indeed tampered with the weapon, Qi Tian should have been able to detect it easily. However, the craftsmanship of the person who orchestrated it was evidently more profound than Qi Tian’s current level of array mastery.

Qi Tian was absolutely certain that Emperor Yonghe must have interfered with the weapon in so way; his inability to find the issue indicated that his skills were insufficient or that Emperor Yonghe’s craftsmanship was too ingenious and exceeded his understanding. Qi Tian dared to make such a judgnt not rely out of suspicion without basis.

The prohibitions, arrays, and runes on this weapon all ca together to create a complete layout. Relying on his experience, Qi Tian noticed that several parts of the layout were unconventional and defied logic. When he further intensified his probes using the “Heavenly Dao Engine’s” sensitivity to Spiritual Qi at these points, he found that when Spirit Qi flowed through these areas, it appeared sowhat stagnant, like a smooth-flowing river suddenly encountering a deep pit, causing water to accumulate unnecessarily.

Qi Tian thought that the weapon would be greatly beneficial to him, as it was one of the artifacts he urgently needed. If he simply discarded it due to mistrust of Emperor Yonghe, it would be a waste. The best solution would be to remove the risk from the weapon and restore it to normal functioning. By doing so, Qi Tian would not only thwart Emperor Yonghe’s sche but also acquire a weapon that could significantly enhance his combat abilities—a win-win situation, so why not do it?

Since he was unable to identify the issue with the weapon on his own, he could ask for assistance—seek help from others.
