Ch.3 The Benevolent Imperial Princess

“Her Highness has arrived!”

Luo Nan turned toward the sound and saw the crowd flanking both sides of the hall’s entrance automatically parting to form a clear path, as if welcoming so imnsely important figure.

Naturally, she was an imnsely important figure—none other than Her Highness, Serela von Austrein, Fourth Imperial Princess of the Osoke Empire, the Benevolent Imperial Princess.

Luo Nan tilted his head back and downed the champagne in his glass in one gulp, then casually placed the empty glass onto a server’s tray. With a relaxed expression, he spoke aloud:

“Benevolent Fourth Imperial Princess, Your Highness, you must speak justice for !”

“Oh? Has Mister Luo Nan encountered so injustice?”

A dignified and elegant female voice resonated through the hall. Though not loud, every syllable was crystal clear to everyone present.

Luo Nan turned his head and glanced over. A graceful silhouette bathed in the golden radiance of the hall—waist-length golden hair flowed like liquid gold, flawless features as if sculpted by heaven itself, and violet eyes symbolizing the supre imperial bloodline shimred with gentle amusent.

Of course, the most eye-catching feature remained the ample, trembling swell of her bosom, accentuated by her slender willow waist, boldly asserting its presence.

Serela von Austrein—one of the heroines of ‘The Shining Myriad Trails’, and the second most popular female character in the entire ga.

As for the first?

That would be a certain antagonist—a dangerous individual Luo Nan now desperately wished to avoid any association with.

“Your Highness, I must first apologize to you. Due to my actions, the hocoming banquet held in your honor failed to proceed smoothly.”

Here, Luo Nan paused deliberately, observing Serela’s reaction.

The golden-haired Imperial Princess smiled gently, like a sacred orchid. eting Luo Nan’s gaze, she gave him a slight nod.

Truly worthy of her—when playing the ga, Luo Nan had imdiately recognized her as a consummate perforr!

Only now, seeing her in person, did he fully grasp how flawless her disguise was—she had fooled everyone for over a decade without anyone uncovering her true nature.

“Ahem,” Luo Nan cleared his throat, carefully organizing the intelligence he recalled about her in his mind, then chose his words cautiously: “Your Highness, soone attempted to assassinate

during your hocoming banquet. Furthermore, I suspect the assassin’s accomplice is among those present here!”

“Luo Nan von dillion, do you have evidence to support your suspicion? This is Your Highness’s hocoming banquet! And those present here are not common rabble whom you can slander at will!”

Luo Nan followed the voice and imdiately noticed the loudmouth who had spoken up. “Lek Perez, who the hell do you think you are to speak to

like that? Even your father, Count Perez, must respectfully address

as ‘Young Master dillion’ when he sees .”

Luo Nan smoothed the hem of his coat and continued leisurely: “Besides, when did I ever say… the scope was limited to nobles? Are other people not human?”

“You…” Lek Perez’s words instantly caught in his throat. Glancing at the surrounding nobles—most of whom were rely enjoying the spectacle—his face darkened.

After a mont of silence, he responded in a low voice: “No, that was not my intention.”

“That’s best. You are an imperial noble—never forget the virtues of nobility.” Luo Nan stood up and slowly walked toward Lek, speaking earnestly as if offering wise counsel.

“Yes, Young Master dillion, I am enlightened.”

Luo Nan patted his shoulder with satisfaction, then turned to face the approaching Imperial Princess Serela.

“So… what does Mister Luo Nan an?” The golden-haired princess maintained a perfectly appropriate social distance—granting Luo Nan ample personal space while avoiding any sense of aloofness. Every smile, every gesture, perfectly conford to the empire’s most standard and elegant noble etiquette.

Her violet eyes gazed at him with gentle warmth.

Luo Nan could sll the faint, orchid-like fragrance emanating from the Imperial Princess.

Truly worthy of being the second most popular female character—at least, she looked the part and slled the part.

“Your Highness, you may not know this, but the wine I brought into the lounge was obtained from a certain server. I suspect that wine was laced with so drug, causing both Miss Rose and

to be affected. However, perhaps because I drank little, or perhaps my body happened to be resistant to this drug, I did not pass out like Miss Rose—or rather, I woke up earlier.”

Here, Luo Nan wore an expression of deep regret. “Unfortunately, I didn’t morize the face of the server who handed

the wine. But it’s no matter—I’ve already sent people to the Arcane Association to handle it. They should have thods to trace the source.”

“Mm, since Luo Nan is the victim and has already arranged the handling procedure, I naturally agree to serve as your notary.”

Imperial Princess Serela walked to the center of the banquet hall and addressed the crowd: “Everyone, if things are indeed as Mister Luo Nan described, can you all agree to let

serve as his notary?”

“Of course, if it’s Your Highness, everyone naturally trusts you.”

“Yes, Your Highness’s reputation is unlike that of certain scoundrels gossiped about even by rats in the lower districts.”

“Ahhh, Your Highness is so cool!”

“…” Luo Nan listened to the whispers of those people, unsure what expression to return.

Indeed, this was his original reputation.

Things like transmigrating, exuding charisma, and having everyone kneel in admiration while proclaiming, “This young man is so cunning—we were all blind to misjudge him!”… simply did not belong to him, a villain.

“There’s one more thing, Your Highness.” Luo Nan spoke again, turning his head toward the ‘Chosen Hero’, Anya Sivans, who was desperately trying to shrink into the shadows behind him.

Anya at this mont resembled a timid quail tucking in its head.

Clearly, she realized this matter had escalated—drugging, assassination…

Anya imdiately imagined several bloody noble power struggles employing every possible ruthless thod.

“Damn it, if that guy really didn’t do such a thing… and this was instead a noble conspiracy to fra him, then wouldn’t I be falsely accusing him?”

Anya bit her lip, a flicker of panic flashing in her beautiful golden eyes. “No! What if… what if he really did do it? Even if he’s nobility, committing such a cri shouldn’t let him escape justice!”

In Luo Nan’s eyes, this manifested as the previously downcast chestnut-haired girl, Anya, suddenly lifting her head and squaring her shoulders, eting his gaze fearlessly and directly.

Seeing this, he pointed toward her. “This server girl suspects

of forcing Miss Rose Anlute into such an act. I hope that, once Miss Rose awakens, Your Highness will also serve as notary for us in this matter. I wish to… clear my na.”

“Mm.” The golden-haired princess nodded slightly and gently addressed Anya: “Miss, do you have evidence to prove your accusation that Luo Nan von dillion attempted to assault Miss Rose Anlute? Did you witness it with your own eyes?”

“It… was a lady who sought my help, saying she heard a woman’s cries for help and a man’s lewd… lecherous laughter from inside the room.” Here, Anya turned to glance at Luo Nan, seemingly hoping to find a trace of sha on his handso face.

But when she saw his completely indifferent expression, a surge of inexplicable anger flared in her heart. “Though I did not witness it myself, I still hope to personally confirm the truth from Miss Rose’s own mouth.”

Anya had heard far too much about Luo Nan’s terrible reputation, and she had never held any goodwill toward these arrogant nobles. Thus, even facing the colossal ‘dillion’, she felt no fear!

So grievances she could endure, but on certain matters, she would not yield an inch!

“Of course, if things are not as I suspected, I will personally apologize to Young Master dillion and… assu subsequent responsibility.”

While Anya Sivans delivered her impassioned statent, Imperial Princess Serela maintained her gentle, elegant smile. Only after the girl concluded her accusation did she softly ask Luo Nan: “Luo Nan, do you have anything you wish to state?”

“I had no subjective intent to force myself upon Miss Rose. However, given the attempted assassination against

and the drugging of the wine, I believe we should address this issue first.”

“As for the server girl’s accusation… once the life-threatening matter is resolved, Miss Rose, I, and relevant professionals can jointly handle it.”

Honestly, in this plot, the ga primarily focused on letting the ‘Chosen Hero’, Anya Sivans, shine for the first ti.

But if such an event occurred in reality, there must be causes and consequences—it couldn’t be that the protagonist forcibly makes others act illogically just to show off and slap faces.

Luo Nan had every reason to suspect this plot was a setup by so hostile faction against him!

Considering the worst-case scenario, Rose Anlute herself might be part of the hostile faction, potentially willing to ‘tarnish herself’ to fra him.

After all, in the imperial noble circles, a woman’s chastity and reputation were of utmost importance. Ordinary people would never believe an unmarried noble lady would commit such an act of ‘killing a thousand enemies while injuring herself by eighty thousand’.

“Miss server girl… ah, I forgot to ask your na.” Imperial Princess Serela still wore that soft, gentle smile.

“Anya Sivans.”

“Then, Miss Anya, do you agree to Luo Nan’s proposed handling plan?”

“…Fine.”

Just then, a voice of unknown origin from the crowd watching the spectacle sparked renewed discussion: “Miss Anya is truly conscientious—even facing Young Master dillion, she still seeks justice for Miss Rose’s purity.”

“Indeed, if it’s Luo Nan von dillion, I have no doubt he’s capable of such a thing.”

“Who could deny it? He is, after all, the ‘Neurotic Scoundrel’ fad throughout the capital!”

“Sigh, I hope Miss Rose is unhard.”

Damn it, as expected—there are villains among the crowd!

Luo Nan listened to the murmurs in the crowd, trying to locate the person who had sparked the topic.

But unfortunately, he was an ‘insulator to cultivation’, unable to touch the supernatural. Even though his Duke father had poured priceless heavenly treasures into him since childhood like they cost nothing, and even took him to seek help from many legendary old monsters, none could solve his ‘insulator’ problem.

Thus, he couldn’t catch that person with ulterior motives.

“However… It’s now almost certain that the reason this plot occurred is due to infighting among nobles, and I am the direct target of this infighting. I just don’t know whether it’s aid solely at , or at the entire dillion family…”

While Luo Nan was imrsed in thought, a burst of commotion pulled him back to reality.

“Oh? Has soone from the Arcane Association arrived?”
