Ch.27 The Punished Little Wolf Girl
When Luo Nan heard the na ‘Zhixia Cangya’, his entire body went numb.
‘Am I really this unlucky? Just taking a casual stroll and I get dragged into an event related to the female protagonist?’
‘And isn’t ‘Silver Moon Sky Wolf’ supposed to make her debut only after school starts? Why is she already in the slave rchant house now?’
‘Wait a second…’ Luo Nan suddenly rembered a crucial question. ‘I shouldn’t be mistaken—in the original storyline, Zhixia’s first appearance was definitely in her mature, older-sister form. But now she’s in ‘lolita form,’ which ans that between now and when the ‘Chosen Hero’ ets the ‘Silver Moon Sky Wolf,’ Zhixia must have encountered so significant turning point.’
‘But what that turning point is, the ga never ntions at all.’
No matter how hard Luo Nan tried to recall information about Zhixia Cangya, he couldn’t find any reason for her transformation from lolita form to older-sister form.
“Never mind, I’ll stop thinking about this for now. It seems I’m currently being held hostage by her.”
“Troubleso…”
“Zhixia, calm down! Calm down! First, let go of Mr. Crow… Whatever demands you have later, we can discuss them slowly.”
Seeing the little wolf girl threaten to kill Luo Nan, Shion instantly broke out in a cold sweat.
Although she didn’t know Mr. Crow’s true identity, his attire alone clearly indicated he was either extrely wealthy or held high status. Moreover, she had just obtained information about ‘Mr. Crow’ through special intelligence channels.
She had only just learned that Mr. Crow possessed a black-gold level credit card!
Additionally, using her supernatural perception, she seed to detect no trace of supernatural power on Luo Nan, aning he was still an ordinary person.
If anything were to happen to him, forget about ‘Snow Wolf Lily’s Cottage’—the entire Whisper Market would probably have to shut down!
“Zhixia, if you don’t want to beco a Snow Wolf Maid, then fine—I’ll let you go. Even if you want freedom, I’ll grant that too!” Shion raised both hands and then slowly lowered them, signaling she ant no harm while trying to calm the little wolf girl.
“Shut up! I won’t believe you anymore!”
However, the little wolf girl didn’t seem moved by Shion’s promise. Although Luo Nan couldn’t see her expression, judging from her extrely unstable voice, he could imagine she was currently baring her teeth.
“Alright… alright… Zhixia, calm down a bit. Even if you don’t believe , shouldn’t internal matters not involve other innocent people?”
Seeing her delaying tactic fail, Shion didn’t get angry. Instead, she changed strategies and played the emotional card.
“Zhixia, have you forgotten? When you were first brought here, we made an agreent…”
Indeed, upon hearing Shion say this, Luo Nan felt the small hand pressed against his neck loosen slightly.
“I… No, that was because I didn’t see through you back then!”
“Zhixia, no matter what you think of
now, I understand your demands—everything is negotiable! To show my sincerity, I’ll imdiately have soone bring your contract here and destroy it right in front of you!”
Sure enough, upon hearing the key phrase ‘destroy the contract’, the little wolf girl’s breathing instantly beca rapid.
‘Hmm, this matches the original plot. Zhixia Cangya was originally just rchandise for sale in the slave rchant house, but her slave contract should have been nullified only through Anya Sivans’s intervention.’
‘Judging by this situation, is this plotline happening earlier than it should?’
Honestly, aside from the initial panic when he failed to recognize the little wolf girl Zhixia’s identity, Luo Nan wasn’t particularly nervous now.
The reason was simple—he knew very well the true nature of the ‘Silver Moon Sky Wolf’; she wouldn’t actually carry out a hostage killing.
Moreover…
He had already attached the vast majority of his power to his neck, so no accidents should occur.
‘Let’s just observe quietly for now. Better not act unless absolutely necessary—otherwise, causing worldline alterations and getting punished would be a net loss.’
“Zhixia, here is your contract,” Shion said, slowly walking over as she took the supernatural contract handed to her.
Luo Nan could faintly sense an extrely mysterious supernatural fluctuation emanating from the parchnt.
‘This must be the slave contract. I wonder how exactly the ‘enslavent’ effect is implented.’
“It should be connected to one of the Demon Lords of the Abyss.”
Luo Nan rembered that, according to The Shining Myriad Trails’ lore, the power of slave contracts originated from one of the Demon Lords of the Abyss, but the specific identity of that Demon Lord was never clarified in the setting.
‘Probably one of those Demon Lords whose basic settings don’t even exist.’
“Here, Zhixia, co check it yourself.”
By now, the distance between Shion, Luo Nan, and the little wolf girl had shortened to less than three ters, making the contents of the parchnt clearly visible.
Most of the text consisted of moving, twisted, and unrecognizable strange characters. Luo Nan guessed these were ‘Abyssal Script’, connecting to that Demon Lord to maintain the ‘enslavent’ effect.
anwhile, the portion written in the mainstream human common language only bore the na ‘Zhixia Cangya’, while the space for the other contracting party remained blank.
“Destroy it!”
The little wolf girl’s emotions visibly heightened, and the small hand resting on Luo Nan’s neck tightened again.
“Alright, Zhixia, I’ll destroy it right now.”
With that, Shion made a motion as if about to tear up the parchnt.
“Ahhh!!!”
A sharp wail instantly pierced Luo Nan’s ears. He felt the little wolf girl behind him tremble violently, her small hand on his neck losing control.
As the pressure on his neck loosened, Luo Nan knew his status as a ‘hostage’ was temporarily over.
He turned his head and carefully observed the little wolf girl, who was still lying on the ground, her body convulsing uncontrollably.
Her ssy, silver hair, longer than her hips, spread out randomly. The slightly oversized coarse linen nightgown had slipped off her shoulder, revealing a delicate collarbone and snow-white shoulder. Around her neck hung a black collar engraved with magical circuits.
Her large, beautiful eyes, resembling glaciers, seed misted with tears. Her petite face clenched her teeth tightly, but apparently the pain was too intense, forcing her small mouth slightly open to reveal two porcelain-white little fangs.
But the most eye-catching features were the pair of fluffy silver wolf ears atop her head and the silver wolf tail growing from her tailbone.
When Luo Nan locked eyes with her, seeing this pitiful little creature, he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy.
“Mr. Crow, please quickly move away from her—this one is very dangerous!”
Seeing that her temporarily invoked contract authority had taken effect, Shion hurriedly warned Luo Nan.
After Luo Nan stepped back three paces, Shion imdiately mobilized her inner fighting spirit, demonstrating the power level of a second-tier warrior. Just as the little wolf girl Zhixia trembled and weakly propped herself up with her slender arms, Shion’s hands swiftly pinned her back down onto the ground.
“Zhixia Cangya! You’ve got quite the nerve—not satisfied with rely harming your sisters, now you dare to attack a custor!” Shion’s voice was filled with anger. “You just wait—I’ll apologize to Mr. Crow first, then deal with you!”
With that, she once again invoked the contract’s power to ‘punish’ Zhixia.
“Ahh!!! Ohhh…”
The little wolf girl’s screams echoed through the room, her small hands desperately clutching the collar around her neck.
Watching this scene, Luo Nan felt sowhat unbearable, and thus felt he should say sothing.
“Mr. Crow, I deeply apologize for startling you. On behalf of ‘Snow Wolf Lily’s Cottage,’ I offer my sincerest apologies. Additionally, we will absolutely compensate you for any losses!”
Having stood back up, Shion now assud a humble, submissive posture, bowing deeply as if wishing to bury herself into the ground.
