The Elf Clan in the past was not composed solely of females; there were males as well.
Just like humans, they would marry and have children. The holder of the Sacred Artifact of Light back then was a male elf whose status was that of the Holy Son of the Elf Clan!

After falling into corruption, that Holy Son led a group of elves from his original clan and settled in the dark abyss.
This group of elves later ca to be known as the Dark Elves, and so also called them the Fallen Elves!
All Dark Elves are cold and brutal by nature, worship war, fear no bloodshed, and believe in the law of the jungle! In stark contrast to those elves who revered nature and opposed war!
All of this, it is said, was due to the influence of this Sacred Artifact of Darkness. Among the ancestors of these elves in the Spirit Realm, there was a saying that the Holy Son of the Elf Clan fell into corruption and changed drastically in disposition because of the darkened Sacred Artifact of Light. This ultimately led to a great division within the entire Elf Clan.
Too many years have passed since this incident, and the precise details are unclear even to those who experienced it firsthand. They could only attribute the bla to the corrupted Sacred Artifact of Light.
It was this incident that led to the great division within the Elf Clan.
Many years after this event, about a thousand years ago, a great sage erged among the Light Elves!
This sage not only possessed imnse strength but was also extrely wise. At that ti, he was the most likely in his race to pursue the path to supremacy.
However, in a battle with the Dark Elves, this great sage, although he managed to defeat the strongest of the Dark Elves at the ti and reclaid the Sacred Artifact of Darkness, was gravely injured. Not long after returning to his clan, he breathed his last.
Before he died, he made a prophecy stating that over seven hundred years later, a true genius would erge from among the Elf Clan, who would lead them to restore their forr glory. This genius would even reunite the divided Elf Clan…into one!
This genius would beco the hope of the entire Elf Clan!
But her growth would not be smooth sailing!
There would be terrifying beings who would pose deadly threats during her growth, so the gravely wounded sage requested that a group of elves completely leave the Heavenly Realm.
At the sa ti, he instructed them to take away the Sacred Artifact of Darkness and guard it well, not to let it appear before the world and harm others again. He also instructed this group of elves not to continue having offspring through marriage.
For the sage had seen a glimpse of the future and discovered that only through the waters of the Life Pool could the genius who would truly save the entire Elf Clan be conceived!
After giving these instructions, the extraordinary Heavenly Genius of the Elf Clan passed away.
Latter events proved that he correctly prophesized the birth of Qi Xiaoyu as well as the appearance of the Blood Demon Ancestor.
