The shopkeeper sneered nacingly, presumably vexed by the recent decline in business. Finally, he found sothing to vent his frustration on.

Although the teenager was handso, what did it matter? He wasn't into anything appealing about him.

Chu Mo's lips twitched as he looked up at the shopkeeper with a degree of speechlessness. "Is this how you usually do business?" He asked.

"Oh ho... and how should we conduct our business?" The shopkeeper crowded Chu Mo with his imposing presence, his face re inches away from Chu Mo's, and his eyes wide and glinting, just short of spitting in his face.

This display was enough to furrow Chu Mo's brows. He stepped back and muttered, "Such an attitude... and yet you manage to do such good business after all. I guess your elixirs really are amazing!"

"Brat, I suppose you hit the mark!" The shopkeeper looked down at Chu Mo with a haughty expression, "Are you scared now? It's too late for that! If you can't give a straight answer, I'll teach you a lesson in manners today, you ignorant whelp!"

"No need, I know more about being a decent person than you do." Chu Mo rolled his eyes, flicking an elixir bottle at the shopkeeper before he had a chance to snap. "Quit your buffoonery. The spectacle is laughable. Take this elixir to your head shopkeeper. If he doesn't want it, I'll crawl out of here myself."

When the shopkeeper took the elixir bottle from Chu Mo, his face stayed twisted with scorn, but there was a certain caution in his eyes.

This youngster's calm deanor was beginning to unnerve him.

Although it was unusual for soone to dare to deceive Lingdan Hall, it certainly wasn't unheard of. To have one such character on the premises was a stroke of luck!

A good thrashing and apprehension would count as a considerable achievent, right?

Could this brat really be carrying any kind of worthy elixir? And could he really manage to concoct an impeccable potion? A drear! A re superior elixir would already be surprisingly decent!

Chances were he couldn't even reach the inferior standard!

He was a total disgrace!

Although the grades of elixirs in the Mortal Realm were sowhat vague, they were defined clearly once one exceeded into the Spirit Realm.

Just like the Foundation Establishnt, the completion grade of an elixir also has six tiers, naly Common, Flawless, Perfect, Immortal, Heavenly and Five Elents.

Common elixirs were further divided into superior, middle and inferior grades.

Most of the elixirs sold in Lingdan Hall were of high quality, occasionally so were even of perfect grading, albeit at exorbitant prices.

As for Immortal and Heavenly grades, not only did they require custom crafting, the custor also had to provide abundant raw materials. And even then... they couldn't always guarantee full success!

After all, the success rate of Immortal and Heavenly pills was unpredictably low!

Even an alchemist of the grandmaster level wouldn't dare to claim a 100% success rate in producing Immortal and Heavenly elixirs.

As for Five Elents elixir… don't even think about it. Elixirs that reached that level not only developed a spirit, but also gained grand wisdom and incredible powers.

It's said that the Five Elents elixir would appear among supres. The relationship between them and supres was not master and servant, but more of a mutual cooperation situation.

"Oh, kid, your act is quite realistic, huh…" The shopkeeper sneered at Chu Mo while picking up the elixir bottle and casually throwing it aside, "What rubbish…"

He then attempted to grab Chu Mo in order to throw him out of the store!

Martial law may be enforced in the Illusionary God Realm, but store owners of the realm had the right to severely punish any troublemakers!

This rule was designed to protect the rchants.

Because these stores were not free to operate, they were not ruled by those with the greatest strength. Every month, they were required to offer a vast amount of Heavenly Crystals to the Illusionary God Realm to maintain the normal operation of the city.

Everything was a virtuous cycle.

Chu Mo was so angry that he made up his mind that even if Lingdan Hall was the largest elixir shop in the world, from today on… it would be blacklisted. He would never do any business with them again!

He wouldn't yield, even if they begged him on their knees!

But just when Chu Mo's face turned icy cold and he was preparing to leave Lingdan Hall, a steady voice suddenly echoed.

"Wait."

Then, a middle-aged man clad in a blue robe strolled into the pharmacy.

The haughty shopkeeper imdiately turned as biddable as a sheep upon seeing the figure. He knelt on the ground, trembling with fear, "I didn't know…"

"That's enough." The middle-aged man interrupted him sternly, "In Lingdan Hall, we can be forceful because we have the best elixirs, our people can be arrogant because the people who buy elixirs need us! But Lingdan Hall doesn't need fools like you! Isn't it presumptuous to make judgnts without even testing? Who do you think you are? Are you a great grandmaster who can discern the quality of an elixir just by looking at the bottle? Or can you, on behalf of Lingdan Hall, decide not to accept any elixirs from outside? Get lost, and don't ever let see you again! You're fired! Now get out!"

The middle-aged man scolded the shopkeeper fiercely. However, much to Chu Mo's surprise, the shopkeeper seed not at all dismayed. Quite the contrary, he appeared overjoyed. He picked himself up and scampered off.

The other shopkeepers in the store all fell silent, not daring to breathe a sigh of relief.

The commotion attracted the attention of the pharmacy's proprietor, an elderly man in his seventies.

When the old man ca out, he was taken aback to see the middle-aged man. Just as he was about to greet him, the middle-aged man stopped him.

"Elder Liao... I'm reluctant to criticize you. Being in Lingdan Hall, you've made major contributions and have been here for so long. Otherwise, the gang leader wouldn't have entrusted you with the position of storekeeper in the human layer. But look at them, what kind of staff do you have?" The middle-aged man's tone was flat, but his words were harsh.

The seventy-year-old man just kept nodding, sweat already breaking out on his forehead, "I apologize… it's all my fault…"

"A year's wage deduction, do you feel wronged?" the middle-aged man asked.

"Not wronged... not wronged, thank you… cough… thank you, sir!" The look of relief on the old man's face indeed surprised Chu Mo, as well as the other patrons in the store. They stared dumbfoundedly.
