Two months ago, a close knight brought back a letter and handed it to Nayi.

The knight smiled bitterly, "Your Majesty, the truth is, they had discovered my identity long ago... but didn't expose , this ti they allowed to deliver this letter, saying you will understand once you read it."

Nayi opened the letter, read it for a long while, and suddenly tears rushed down, falling onto the letter.

The knight was taken aback, "Your Majesty... what's wrong?"

"Ah... I'm fine, you can leave, prepare for it, we will et them in two months!" Nayi, her eyes reddening, glanced at the knight and waved him to leave.

"Damn liar, such a big thing happened, why am I the last one to know? Liar! I hate you!"

The letter was written by Chu Yan, who claid to be Chu Mo's foster sister, discussing in detail the various issues they were facing now, as well as Chu Mo's nurous experiences in the past year.

It was then that Nayi understood that the man who she held in her heart was so outstanding, he had done so many earth-shattering things in Great Xia. At the sa ti, she had deep concerns for Chu Mo, uncertain when he would return.

...

"They're here!" Sui Hongru squinted slightly, looking at the dust cloud rising on the horizon, sighed, "The Prairie Royal Court truly has the finest horses!"

Chu Yan comnted, "One can never tell, with what attitude this queen might show us? There are so many people coming... could they possibly turn against us?"

"Highly unlikely," Sui Hongru responded: "According to our information here, this queen has always regarded our young master as her beloved!"

"Hehe..." Chu Yan chuckled lightly, then said with a slightly lancholic tone: "If only the young master was here!"

By now, the team had appeared within their line of sight.

A wild and untad aura rushed toward them.

One white horse surged forward, outpacing the riders behind by a few miles, like a white line rushing towards them.

On horseback was a woman in a red cloak.

It was Nayi!

The queen of the prairie!

There was no need for identification; Chu Yan and Sui Hongru could imdiately tell the woman's identity.

Chu Yan, behind her mask, glanced at Sui Hongru beside her and chuckled lightly: "She appears... as if she is coming to et her beloved."

Sui Hongru also smiled lightly, saying: "No need to worry anymore, the Prairie Royal Court has no ill-will towards us!"

With a soft exclamation, the white warhorse that had charged to Chu Yan's front reared its front hooves, then landed heavily on the ground.

"What a splendid horse!" Chu Yan couldn't help but praise. Then, she took a serious look at the woman in the red cloak, feeling an imdiate sense of awe.

Strictly speaking, Nayi's attire was that of a prairie noblewoman. But her face was incredibly beautiful, and unlike the gentle charm of Great Xia's won, Nayi exuded an extra dose of wildness and vigor.

However, since becoming queen, Nayi's attire began to slowly evolve, and trend towards that of Great Xia's ladies.

This fusion of the noble wildness of the prairie and the gentle charm of Great Xia, created an unmatched beauty.

Even Chu Yan, a woman herself, couldn't help but be drawn to Nayi's presence.

"You must be sister Chu Yan, right?" Nayi, devoid of any queenly airs, smiled warmly at Nayi and dismounted.

It was then that the team of knights from the Prairie Royal Court arrived, quickly forming ranks, surprisingly disciplined.

Both Chu Yan and Sui Hongru dismounted. Chu Yan casually removed her mask, and the two sides exchanged greetings.

"Sister Chu Yan is so beautiful!" Upon seeing Chu Yan, pure beauty of Great Xia, Nayi's eyes lit up as well.

Because Chu Yan's beauty was no less than Nayi's, they were both astonishing in their own ways.

"Her majesty is the beautiful one," Chu Yan responded with a gentle smile.

"Don't call 'Your Majesty,' just call Nayi," Nayi said as she looked at Chu Yan, her thoughts wandering to the young man, her expression becoming slightly gloomy: "Is there still no news of him?"

"No news yet, but, I believe, he must be safe!" Chu Yan stated with absolute certainty.

"Yes, he must be safe!" Nayi nodded, then turned to Sui Hongru, "And this is?"

"I am Sui Hongru, the young master's steward." Sui Hongru greeted Nayi with a smile.

Nayi's eyes lit up, "I'm pleased to et you, Mister Sui."

Everyone behind her, except for Gao Yingjun, was dumbstruck.

They could never have dread that their renowned prairie queen would be so humble before their master.

Nayi's gaze fell on Gao Yingjun, the tall and awkward figure made her smile, "God of War, long ti no see…"

"Cough cough, Your Majesty… long ti no see." Gao Yingjun scratched his head and laughed embarrassingly.

"Who could have imagined…" Nayi shook her head slightly, then said, "So many things have happened in just over a year."

Chu Yan replied, "Indeed, but… I believe that we will beco a family."

Nayi flushed, feeling shy, but she did not deny Chu Yan's words, instead she looked at Chu Yan seriously and responded, "Sister, the reason why you called here this ti, it's not simple, is it?"

"Yes, on behalf of the King of Chu, I wish to form an alliance with the Prairie Royal Court." When it ca to business, Chu Yan beca serious and told Nayi frankly.

"An alliance?" Nayi muttered to herself, then nodded in agreent. "No problem. On both sides, even without formal procedures, we would surely be allies, protecting each other!"

Chu Yan nodded, "I wonder if Your Majesty is satisfied with the current territory of the Prairie Royal Court?"

Nayi slightly arched her beautiful eyebrows, "Great Qi has taken so much territory from the Prairie Royal Court over the years, it's only right to reclaim so."

Chu Yan smiled, "As long as Your Majesty has this intention, it will be simple!"

Nayi also laughed out loud.

The alliance was unbelievably easy for both sides, with no conditions, demands, or any suspicion or distrust.

All of this was because... Chu Mo existed.

If not for Chu Mo, Chu Yan's side would never trust the Prairie Royal Court so lightly; and the Prairie Royal Court... would be even less likely to trust the cunning Central Plains folks.

Oftentis, things are really that simple.

Only those unaware would go on looking for various causes for this alliance, such as mutual support against common enemies ...

Nayi and Chu Yan both dismissed such thoughts. (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote and support at qidian. Your support is my biggest motivation. For mobile users, please visit m.qidian to read.)
