The words she spoke were actually exactly the sa as what Zhong Sheng had just said.

Chu Mo subconsciously sensed that Zi Dao was a bit unsettled. He looked towards that woman - so beautiful! That was his first impression. Upon closer examination, even more beautiful! Her ethereal and refined deanor was simply astonishing: such a lady should belong to the heavens, why would she descend to the mortal world?

He had also heard Zi Dao softly murmuring that na—Ouyang Fei.

The once seventh-ranked maiden of the Heavenly Ranking. Now, she was accompanying Zhong Sheng. Could it be that there was so untold story between her and his elder brother?

Zi Dao struggled to offer Ouyang Fei a smile, but no words ca out.

Ouyang Fei spoke indifferently: "Zi Dao, you are a Heavenly Genius, then why do you associate with vermin and pests?"

That sentence left countless people around them to show a look of surprise. They could not believe such humiliating and mocking words would co from the mouth of a woman with such an ethereal, noble quality.

Vermin? Pests?

Who is the snake? And who is the pest?

Two sharp gleams burst from Liu Yunfeng's eyes as he sneered: "I really didn't know that I belonged to the likes of snakes and pests. Then what about the woman who has always been beneath ? What is she? A little bug?"

These words were rather harsh, but for Liu Yunfeng, he was still being quite courteous. In his days in the landfill, what kind of filthy words hadn't he said?

The corner of Zi Dao's mouth twitched, but he did not speak.

Zhong Sheng's eyes suddenly burst with a murderous glare towards Liu Yunfeng, and in a cold voice, he said: "You'd better apologize imdiately."

Liu Yunfeng chuckled: "I don't apologize, what can you do to ? Unite with the Haoyue Sect to slander again? Borrow a holy artifact to kill once more? Or plot against in secret? Or... will you, Zhong Sheng, personally step in to vent anger for your mistress?"

"You..." Zhong Sheng's face turned ashen: "You will regret what you've said today."

Ouyang Fei by his side also had an ugly expression on her face.

Liu Yunfeng laughed: "Everyone must take responsibility for what they've done and the words they've said, and I'm not the only one!"

As Liu Yunfeng spoke, he glanced at Zi Dao. He was not dull in the slightest; how could he not see that there was a story between that woman and Zi Dao? Still, he said it anyway! Not for anything else, but because in that woman's gaze towards Zi Dao, there was not the slightest hint of affection!

He could ignore others calling him vermin; just say it, what would he lose? A slap at the key mont would vent out all the frustration. But he could not tolerate his brothers being humiliated.

This kind of woman, Liu Yunfeng did not think she had any right to stand beside Zi Dao.

This world indeed cares about status and heritage. But so what? If Zi Dao has always been above Zhong Sheng, ranked first on the Heavenly Ranking, it is enough to prove his excellence! This needs no one's endorsent, no one's affirmation, and no one to testify!

Zhong Sheng fixed his gaze on Liu Yunfeng and then glanced sideways at Ouyang Fei, suddenly smiling faintly: "A monk who claims to be a young Heavenly Genius, only good at verbal combat, what's the point? Liu Yunfeng, after I kill Chu Mo, you're the next one I will slay."

Liu Yunfeng responded with a cold smile: "Fine, I'll be waiting!"

The atmosphere at the scene was extrely heavy. The cultivators who kept arriving were all affected by it, and everything fell silent.

They finally felt the tense atmosphere before the arrival of a great battle. They also finally understood that the grudge between the Zhong Family and the Luotian Imperial Clan had indeed reached an irreconcilable state.

At that mont, Zhong Sheng finally turned his gaze to Chu Mo: "You killed the descendants of my Zhong Family. I'll take back what's ours."

Chu Mo glanced at him: "What's with all the nonsense? If you're not satisfied, I can split you in two with my blade right now!"

Truly domineering!

Even Ji Qi and Prince Ji couldn't help but look towards Chu Mo. Although Prince Ji had always disliked Chu Mo, for so reason, he had a thought that he himself did not want to admit: this guy seems to be quite alright.

With no expression on his young and handso face, his aura was so stable. In that mont, even Prince Ji had to admit that Chu Mo had a quality that made enemies angry yet fearful, and his own people feel at ease.

So stable, yet with an indescribably domineering presence in that stability!

This kind of dominance was a fearless aura, no matter who he faced!

This aura could even easily influence those around him!

Didn't you see after he finished speaking, whether it was Zi Dao, Liu Yunfeng, or even Jiang Caiyue, didn't all of their expressions beco more relaxed in that instant?

"I hope you can still say that when you look back!"

Zhong Sheng dropped a remark and left with Ouyang Fei.

It wasn't exactly a defeatist departure, but it certainly wasn't composed either. They pride themselves on their status, hoping to dominate the three Chu Mo brothers with their presence. However, each of the brothers, proud to the bone, would not be subdued even by the might of Ouyang Fei, let alone by Zi Dao, who found her sowhat challenging. Zhong Sheng didn't want to waste ti bickering here because it would be beneath his dignity. Thus, he could only leave a terse remark before hastily departing – not at all looking graceful and probably seething with anger by now.

Jiang Caiyue's face carried a trace of regret because, from start to finish, neither Ouyang Fei nor Zhong Sheng had glanced her way, much less provoked her. She had initially hoped to deliver a firm retort if those two had dared to challenge her. But it seed they knew better than to stir trouble with her.

Smart of you! But is this over just like that? What was the pretense for then?

Thinking this, Jiang Caiyue then said to Chu Mo: "Alright, don't let this affect your mood. Who is a dragon or tiger and who a re snake or rat cannot be decreed by others. Just like so people think that by getting tied to the ancient clans, they can beco princesses. In reality, if you are ant to be a common chicken, you will always be a common chicken and never beco a phoenix!"

Ouyang Fei, already far away, paused montarily but did not turn around or speak, quickly continuing her departure.

Then, under the lead of Jiang Caiyue, the group made their way to the Imperial Clan's palace.

The place was dotted with pavilions and palaces, all guarded strictly. The unknowing might even believe it had always been this way, unaware that this temporary palace was built overnight.

After passing through several layers of security, Jiang Caiyue led Chu Mo and his party to the main hall. Chu Mo keenly sensed that even Ji Qi was not at ease here. And as for Prince Ji, there was a visible tension on his face. Unbeknownst to him, although the emperor had not publicly reprimanded Prince Ji over the matter involving Chu Mo, Prince Ji himself had always felt uneasy. Recklessness and arrogance were not wrong, but a lack of familial bond was a taboo for the Ji Imperial Clan lineage.

The most heartless are the imperial families, but that applies to the world of mortals, not the Luotian Immortal Domain!

As the group arrived, soone went ahead to announce their presence, then a figure burst out from inside.

Charging directly towards Chu Mo was an exceedingly beautiful woman with a noble and elegant air, a tall figure, and a radiance unmatched in her ti. As she approached Chu Mo, she seed ready to leap into his arms, yet she halted abruptly as though hesitant to co closer. Her beautiful eyes brimming with tears, she looked at Chu Mo with a gaze filled with emotion.

Following this, a young man erged from the palace, tall and with a powerful aura, striding like a dragon or tiger. The young man bore a striking resemblance to Chu Mo in his facial features.

Seeing the young man, Chu Mo was montarily stunned before recognizing him as his father. But his father looked so different from before! The current Chu Tianji looked more than ninety percent similar to the image of him in Chu Mo's mory.

"Son, she's your mother," said Chu Tianji in a deep voice.

Behind Chu Tianji, a crowd erged, without a royal figure amongst them. Still, each man was extraordinarily valiant and each woman stunningly beautiful, all exuding an air of nobility—one glance and you knew they were true dragons and phoenixes among people.

Chu Mo had already recognized the woman as his mother. The only difference from the elvesque woman in his mories was that the Ji Qingyu of yesteryear was lively and youthful, and despite being overwheld with sadness when they parted, she still emanated the aura of youthful vitality. Now, however, she had beco mature and dignified, lacking the vivacity of her earlier years.

But her appearance was almost exactly the sa.

"Child, I... I'm sorry," Ji Qingyu's eyes finally succumbed to tears, which flowed freely. This woman, who had just advanced to the Great Saint Realm, showed only tenderness and vulnerability before her son.

Zi Dao and the others exchanged glances and then quietly left under Jiang Caiyue's lead.

This was no longer the ti for them to remain here.

Chu Mo took a deep breath; he had imagined countless tis the scene in which he would et his mother. Yet, when the ti truly ca, the sheer familial connection made him forget all the speeches he had prepared.

Hearing his mother's apology, Chu Mo knelt with a thump, his voice filling with incredibly complex emotions as he cried out tearfully, "Mother!"

Ji Qingyu could not hold back any longer and flung herself at him, embracing Chu Mo tightly, as she wept loudly, "Son… my darling, I've missed you so much!"

To anyone else, calling Chu Mo 'darling' might drive him insane. For so many years, he had trekked alone, his achievents unparalleled across the vast Yanhuang territory—never had he been addressed so oddly. But in this mont, Chu Mo felt neither out of place nor embarrassed.

He was his mother's son, and even if he stood at the zenith of the universe one day, he was still the darling in his mother's eyes!

Ji Qi stood with a touch of sentint in his eyes, then sighed softly.

Prince Ji's eyes reddened slightly, he pursed his lips tightly, turned his face away and took a deep breath. Then, he suddenly said, "Chu Mo, I—I still don't like you! However, I apologize for my previous actions; I was wrong. But I don't care about your forgiveness! And you once took my beast!"

After saying this, Prince Ji, with the pride of a rooster, strode away.
