Jiang Hao closed his eyes and started absorbing spirit qi. Only a small amount was needed, and as expected, after a few breaths he felt the air surrounding him disappear. His breathing didn't stop though, as illusion was just that—an illusion. When he opened his eyes, he was in the black dinsion.

Jiang Hao looked around for a while before fixing his gaze on one direction before him and tried to move.

Although he was suspended in the void, he could walk easily. He didn't care about direction or the ti it would take for him to cross the void. In the end, only seven days would pass outside.

Solitude wasn't an issue for him, even now when he mostly wanted to stay near Senior Yao. No matter what, he had silently braced for separation from her.

She would eventually leave, and he would have to go his own way. No doubt he would try to find her, but he wouldn't be shaken if he couldn't, because no matter how much ti it would take, he would definitely et her again.

...

One year passed in the void, and Jiang Hao had the sa expression he had when he began to walk. To him, everything was just an illusion, and since he knew this, his will was strong enough to remove any second thoughts about the passing of ti.

Not to ntion, the tiredness he felt was illusionary too.

Ti kept passing, and Jiang Hao kept walking at the sa pace. He didn't slow down once.

There was one change he could feel thoroughly—it was his own understanding of his body. He could hear his blood flowing through his veins, his rhythmic breath, and his muscle movents due to walking.

This was what truly was ant by Void Reversion—you reverted to a state where you were forced to understand yourself to an instinctual level. Solitude and lack of everything forced you to just focus on yourself.

Jiang Hao sighed. "What a unique way to breakthrough." Cultivation was truly a unique process.

Five years passed, and when he thought that he might have to walk for a decade, his next step crossed a transparent barrier which shattered the illusion.

His eyes opened and landed on the woman he had thought of most, along with his mother, in this whole journey of five years.

Suddenly, he felt spirit qi surrounding him. He didn't close his eyes as he didn't need to. All the spirit qi was handled silently in his body. His nascent soul trembled as it grew a little more solid, his dantian was filled with imnse amounts of spirit qi, and while all this was going on, his blood core trembled too.

His body began absorbing spirit qi into his blood to make it denser and heavier. His blood boiled while being mixed with imnse spirit qi, which was being converted into blood qi.

As the transformation continued, he felt his senses sharpen even more profoundly. It wasn't surprising, as this was the true benefit of Void Reversion and the Grade Six Realm.

After a few minutes, his transformation ended, but his body was still absorbing spirit qi. It went on for a while before everything finally cald.

Nothing was destroyed because of his breakthrough. The villagers wouldn't have even felt anything, all because of the woman sitting in front of him.

Jiang Hao didn't know if she had been sitting there the whole ti watching him, or if she had just returned sensing his breakthrough, because her posture was exactly the sa as before he went into the void.

"How many days have passed, Senior?"

"Five days," Yao Ying spoke with ethereal voice and stood up. "Let's go."

Jiang Hao nodded. After each breakthrough, he would duel with her. It was one of his favorite things to do. Fighting with her, he could go all out without any fear.

He walked to her side, and Yao Ying extended her hand. He grabbed it, and instead of teleporting right away, he got lost in the touch.

Although it had been an illusion, he had held this hand after five years.

A few breaths later, Jiang Hao ca to his senses and teleported them. He sighed internally. Again, she hadn't pulled her hand away or reminded him. She just let him hold it as though it didn't matter to her.

They appeared in a clearing inside the forest. This clearing was the result of their previous duels. The ground was filled with craters, mostly ford from him being slamd into the earth rather than by nihility spheres.

Jiang Hao created so distance the mont they appeared. Words were unnecessary. He imdiately ford a nihility sphere. The speed of its formation was now even faster, as though it instantly appeared in his hand.

He threw the nihility sphere, followed by another one, before moving from the blind spot.

Yao Ying looked at the two incoming nihility spheres and didn't even dodge. They struck her shoulders, and imdiately two thirty-ter intersecting spheres enveloped her.

Jiang Hao arrived before them, and the mont the nihility spheres disappeared, he punched. His eyes widened slightly because there was nothing there, and before he could think of anything, his instincts warned him.

He wanted to turn around, but a dainty hand landed on his shoulder, and it was enough to send him crashing toward the ground with insane speed.

"BOOOOOMMMM!!"

Another huge crater ford in the ground as Jiang Hao was buried deep within it. While lying inside, he felt his left shoulder limp as it healed. The place where her hand had landed had turned his bones to dust.

It didn't take long for him to heal, and when he did, he ca out of the crater. At that mont, he saw a small bluish-purple sphere coming toward him, only as big as a pill.

His eyes widened as he imdiately tried to dodge, but it was already too late. The orb struck his left leg and destroyed only a small part before it vanished.

That small part was enough to separate his leg from the knee down. He looked at it and shook his head. He still rembered his first ti getting hit by Chaos Law.
