"Senior Jiang, my luck must be blessed by the heavens to see you so closely."
Inwardly, though, he couldn’t help but curse his damned luck. He continued.
"Exalted immortal, your might could silence the roar of the Primordial Chaos! I prostrate in sha, pleading forgiveness for my ignorant trespass, unworthy of your boundless tolerance!"
He was genuinely hoping that Jiang Hao would forgive him this ti. He would never ever even speak to himself about Jiang Hao from this day onwards.
Jiang Hao looked at all this expressionlessly. Inwardly, though, he couldn’t help but wonder if he really seed that terrifying. He had never killed soone just because he wanted to, nor had he ever used his strength to show dominance over soone without a reason.
But it looked like reasons didn’t matter, only results left behind marks that affected soone’s perception of him. They were all just afraid of him because he had killed thousands of cultivators. None of them cared why he did it.
In the end, he really didn’t care about soone’s opinion of him, but knowing this point was in itself an experience for him.
Jiang Hao had stopped for a second when they bowed toward him, as he went into this thought process. But after clearing his mind of this topic, he moved again without responding to them.
The two cultivators were still bowing, but when they saw him move away without saying anything, they beca traumatized internally, thinking that Jiang Hao hadn’t forgiven them. But since they didn’t know what else they could do to earn forgiveness, they just stayed like that, waiting for him to walk far away.
Jiang Hao walked for a while and saw as much of the city as possible. Wherever he walked, there was pin-drop silence, as information about him walking around the city might have already spread throughout the area.
After having a good walk, he ca back. He wanted to test his strength a little, but the only person who could satisfy that condition was his senior sister, who was still not out of her seclusion.
Just as he ca back, he saw those 19 female cultivators of the Yi Lin Sect again. This ti, they were all standing in front of the house that belonged to Yi Lin.
The reason why they had all gathered in that place was because Hunlang was sitting outside the house and looking at those cultivators nacingly.
Hunlang was a spirit beast. She didn’t need seclusion to cultivate, so she might have co out so ti in the past too. So if these won had seen her before, then it was easy to figure out whom this house belonged to.
Not to ntion Yi Lin herself might have co out soti, as she was close to reaching the peak of her realm, so she might have done it in only three or four months.
As he was thinking, he heard their voices.
"Oh dear Hunlang, why not call your master out? Tell her her senior sisters are here to visit her."
"Grrhhhh..."
"Oh my Hunlang, growling at everyone is not good manners. Your master really is incompetent to not teach you manners. How about you beco mine instead? I can give you better resources to eat, you know, far better than your poor master."
Hunlang didn’t move. She wanted to rip apart this woman, but she couldn’t do it in this city. She could only show anger through expression.
Jiang Hao didn’t know what their backstory was, nor did he care, but right now they were standing in his way to his house, which was just in the middle of the three houses they had occupied. So even if he didn’t want to, he had to stop.
For a mont, he thought about whether he should just fly over them or teleport in front of his house, and while he was thinking that, he saw that Hunlang’s eyes fell on him.
There was a little hope in her eyes. He beca speechless. What the hell did she want him to do? Kill them?
Oh well, let’s see what happens next. If they beca insistent on standing in his way, then he would have the right to move through them, and it wouldn’t be considered a valid attack.
He ca close and said,
"Pardon my intrusion. While you guys seem quite cheerful, could you get aside?"
His voice was clear enough for every one of them to hear. They all imdiately turned around, or so of them just turned their heads to look toward Jiang Hao. Most seed annoyed at first, but after looking at Jiang Hao’s face, they were stunned a little inwardly.
Only one thought was in their minds, wasn’t he too pleasing to look at? Then they sensed his cultivation realm, and this gave them another kind of shock.
They weren’t unaware of the recent information, and when they connected the dots, they imdiately figured out his identity. So of them backed off instinctively.
Just listening to the assumptions, which seed totally accurate, was enough to fill most of the cultivators with fear of Jiang Hao.
So eting him head-on wasn’t sothing anyone wanted right now.
The only woman who seed a little more composed than the others was the one who had been speaking to Hunlang.
She ca forward and bowed.
"Of course. We have no intentions of blocking your way."
She gestured for the others to get aside. All the won followed imdiately. They moved to one side, leaving more than enough space for Jiang Hao to pass.
Jiang Hao nodded and said,
"Also, I prefer silence in front of my house, so make sure you understand that."
After saying that, Jiang Hao ca to his house and sat in front of his gate, looking toward the group of won who had all beco quiet after hearing his last sentence.
"Ah yes, one more thing. I like to see the crowd on the street, so it would be better if you all moved a little further away."
All the won in the group were stunned. They knew Jiang Hao was doing it on purpose, but they didn’t have the courage to lash out against him, even in the safe zone.
The woman who seed like the leader looked at Jiang Hao for a second before saying,
"Of course."
She turned around and looked at her companions.
"Let’s go."
Finally, they all left quietly.
Jiang Hao sighed inwardly. Looks like having others fear you isn’t a bad thing. Most problems would resolve quietly, just the way he liked.
