The colour of the pill was red as it was a vitality pill, it would definitely be effective here. This woman seed too injured and had lost a lot of her blood.
She imdiately went and opened the mouth of the woman and pushed the pill inside. The woman instinctively swallowed the pill.
She moved back to give her space, or this woman might attack her in confusion. The pill wouldn’t take long to show effect, hardly five or six breaths.
When Jiang Hao saw that Senior Sister was done giving the pill and the wolf also seed quite cooperative now, he removed his fingers and moved aside.
The wolf sighed inwardly. That finger was like a death knell for it. It stood up slowly and moved towards its master. Although it was still vigilant about Jiang Hao, seeing his nonchalant attitude, it moved quickly and arrived near its master.
The woman’s eyes fluttered, and she imdiately opened them while a soft cry escaped her lips.
"Hunlang."
"Wuuuu..."
A reply imdiately ca, and the woman imdiately looked towards her spirit beast and jumped to hold her. Although in this condition moving like that was a bit challenging, she didn’t seem to mind it.
The beast didn’t want that to happen, but since its master had already moved, it couldn’t stop it now. So it just lay down and let her hold it easily.
"Thanks to the heavens that you are fine."
The woman’s voice seed to be quite relieved right now.
Jiang Hao looked towards the cultivators who were lying dead nearby. The group seed to belong to a particular clan or sect. If it was a clan, then it was definitely so well-known clan, as this many peak stage Soul Sea Realm cultivators wouldn’t belong to small clans.
Their deaths were quite peculiar, and there seed to be so kind of trap here too. It didn’t seem like an array but sothing different.
The air slled a little turbid here—maybe so kind of poison—but it seed to have already lost its effectiveness.
When the woman was done getting together with her spirit beast, her eyes first fell on Ming Yue, who was standing quite close to them, and then on Jiang Hao, who was looking towards where the dead bodies were.
"Wuuuu..."
After listening to her spirit beast, she got a little surprised and then imdiately stood up, but this didn’t end up well as her recently closed wound on the leg opened again.
She flinched a little but still managed to hold herself upright. She looked towards Ming Yue and bowed.
"Thank you for helping ."
Ming Yue shook her head and said,
"You are reacting unnecessarily, not to ntion hurting yourself in the process. Just sit down and let yourself heal, would you? Or are you planning to waste one more pill?"
The woman got a little flustered but didn’t sit down imdiately. She introduced herself.
"I am Yi Lin, and this is my partner Hunlang."
"Ok, ok, got it... now would you rather sit, or should I make you?"
Ming Yue really couldn’t believe this woman. Just a mont ago she was out cold, and now she was jumping around without any consideration.
The woman lowered her head and finally sat down.
"Well, it wasn’t that hard, was it? My na is Ming Yue, nice to et you."
The woman nodded and suddenly beca stunned.
She looked at Ming Yue imdiately. Ming Yue was wearing a mask, many cultivators did, so she wasn’t surprised at first. She herself had worn a mask before this battle; her identity was sensitive too.
But hearing the na Ming Yue was quite surprising. This was one of the traitors whom Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary were hunting with Golden Lotus Temple.
Well, that’s how the world viewed them. She didn’t know what the truth was because every top sect in the world knew the real face of these sects.
"Nice to et you, Sister Ming. If you don’t mind my rudeness, then may I ask you a question?"
Ming Yue gave an amused smile and said,
"Go ahead."
"Why did you save ?"
Ming Yue was surprised a little. This wasn’t the question she was expecting. If people knew her na, the first question they would ask was about them being traitors or not.
"Oh well, I just liked your spirit beast’s dedication, that’s all."
"I see. She really can get handful sotis. Please forgive her if she showed any aggression to you."
Ming Yue shrugged her shoulders.
"Why would I get angry over sothing like that? She was only protecting you. By the way, what is her type? I have never seen such a beast before."
"It’s natural, Sister Ming. She is a Lunarshade Wolf. The only place in this world where you can find them is the Lunar Valley in the Western Region."
Ming Yue nodded.
One thing she was sure of was that this wolf had partial Yin affinity. Anything related to the moon was definitely related to Yin.
"So you are from the Western Region, huh... You sure have co quite far."
"I wouldn’t have actually, but I was at the peak of Soul Sea Realm for one year already. The inheritance site opening in the Western Region is in fifty years.
Waiting fifty years is a waste for , so I just ca here to try and gain one good inheritance from the Core Region."
Ming Yue nodded again. It was true. Waiting for fifty years was just too wasteful of one’s potential. But no doubt, Yi Lin belonged to one of the top sects, if not the top most sect, of the Western Region.
Only they had the ans to safely arrive this far.
There were two ruling sects in the Western Region. One was Eternal Frost Peak Sect, and the other was Bloodshadow Sect.
Bloodshadow Sect sounded like a devil sect, but they claid not to be. They used blood for cultivation, but they said that they didn’t kill people for the blood, they asked them for it. If the person agreed, then they took so blood while giving them so benefits.
Although nobody knew if this was the truth or not, there were many people who had given them blood and were still alive, so this might be the truth.
As for Eternal Frost Peak Sect, it was even more unique. They only accepted female disciples. Their cultivation technique was the type which could only be used by female disciples who had spiritual roots which have atleast water or ice elnt in it.
Ice was more preferred, but they still accepted those who had water spiritual roots because not many won cultivators with ice spiritual roots could be found in the whole world, much less the Western Region.
Even then, it was said to be only a small sect as their disciples were very few, but since their cultivation technique was quite strong, in fact, one of the strongest in the whole world in Earth grade, they were quite formidable.
This was the reason why they were one of the strongest sects in the Western Region.
It was not hard to guess that Yi Lin belonged to Eternal Frost Peak Sect.
"So you are going to take part in the end-year competition, huh? Very well. Want to travel with us?"
Ming Yue asked.
Jiang Hao looked at her while sighing inwardly. Why was she so keen on inviting everyone she t? He hoped that this woman would reject her.
"Of course, why not, Sister Ming?"
Ahh, there go his hopes. Whatever. Now he had to listen to their talking all the way, maybe.
"Good. By the way, what happened here?"
"That... well, this group had soone who knew about Hunlang’s rarity, so they wanted to capture her. They had been following us for a long ti, and only when they beca certain of success did they attack us.
It wouldn’t have been a problem for to deal with them, but they used a poisonous pill to affect the area. But even then, they seed to have underestimated . With the help of Hunlang, I was able to kill them, but in the end, I got too injured and fell unconscious.
After that, I woke up to only see you guys."
Ming Yue nodded, but she didn’t know what they were truly trying to do. Capturing a blood-contracted beast wasn’t worth this much effort, unless they were after her beast core.
It might be a possibility. So beast cores were quite valuable for cultivators, and maybe a Lunarshade Wolf’s beast core was too. Well, it didn’t matter anyway.
"Junior Brother, let’s go."
Yi Lin got a little flustered when she heard that. She imdiately turned towards Jiang Hao and bowed.
"Nice to et you, I am Yi Lin."
She had forgotten to introduce herself while talking to Ming Yue, so she felt a little sha while doing so this late.
Jiang Hao didn’t mind it, though. In fact, it would have been better if she hadn’t greeted him, but since she greeted him, it wouldn’t be good to not reciprocate.
"Jiang Hao"
He just bowed and said his na before flying away.
Ming Yue knew this would happen, so she just said,
"Don’t mind him. He has taken a vow to speak as minimum as possible"
"Oh, I see."
Yi Lin believed her. So cultivators did take vows to maintain their inner peace.
Jiang Hao wasn’t too far to not hear her, but since this was perfect for him, he accepted it.
But instead of himself, he would have preferred if Senior Sister had taken the vow. It would have been far easier that way.
