All the safe zone cities were similar in appearance, only their sizes decreased as they moved toward the center of the regions.
They arrived mid-air, just outside the city, and looked toward the road.
The scene was quite devastating to say the least. There was a woman collecting storage bags from multiple dead bodies of cultivators. They all seed to be from the sa three sects.
Jiang Hao imdiately descended and moved toward her. She was none other than Ming Yue. She had just experienced the sa situation Jiang Hao had gone through.
When she arrived, she walked into a trap. She had seen the cultivators from these sects along the path and knew she might be heading into a trap, but she still went in.
She might not be as strong as Jiang Hao in terms of physical might, but she had reached the Sword Intent Realm.
That was enough for her to match these cultivators. Her flexibility was even better than Jiang Hao’s, so dodging multiple attacks was easier for her.
Even within the array, she was able to use her abilities, so it didn’t take her much ti to finish her opponents.
She couldn’t teleport like Jiang Hao, but her attacks affected a wider area compared to Jiang Hao. Her ice shards were sharp enough to tear through barriers and kill cultivators with ease.
So cultivators did escape. It might create problems, as they would be more prepared from now on, but it wouldn’t matter much to her. She hadn’t even used her wide-area soul fla yet.
If they believed they had perfectly gauged her strength, they would be making a grave mistake.
Just as she was about to take out the beast cores, she saw soone approaching. She looked up and was surprised to see it was none other than her junior brother.
"Junior Brother, you really took your ti getting here."
"Senior Sister, what do you an? It’s only been one day."
"And that’s more than enough, isn’t it Junior Brother? What would have happened if I wasn’t strong enough? Wouldn’t I be dead by now? Junior Brother, were you sleeping at night? Or were you afraid of wandering souls in the dark?"
Jiang Hao was speechless. He didn’t argue back, knowing she seed hell-bent on accusing him regardless.
"Hm? Junior Brother, you made friends? That’s surprising."
Jing Tian and Yu Yan arrived too, and upon seeing them, Ming Yue raised an eyebrow.
"Not friends, Senior Sister"
Jiang Hao wasn’t going to say more than that, Ming Yue would understand what he ans.
He didn’t consider them friends. The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind, nor was he interested in making any.
Ming Yue shook her head at his reply but said nothing. She knew that was simply how he was—his personality had always been like that.
When Jing Tian heard it, he was stunned internally at how bluntly Jiang Hao had iscarded them being friends , as if he they were just a nuisance following him.
He gritted his teeth but didn’t show it. It was true, he was the one who wanted to tag along, not the other way around. So he can only accept this, well he can’t show discomfort to Jiang Hao anyway.
Yu Yan showed no expression. From their previous interactions, she understood that Jiang Hao didn’t care whether they ca along or not. As long as they didn’t obstruct him, Jiang Hao wouldn’t say anything.
Yu Yan looked at Ming Yue. She too wore a mask. Yu Yan had never seen Ming Yue in person, only her portrait. It was said that Ming Yue was speculated to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
She had seen Jiang Hao’s portrait as well. It was strikingly handso, far beyond her own senior brother, who was already considered handso, maybe he was most handso guy in world too.
Paintings could be altered, so she didn’t believe them fully. And now, with both of them wearing masks, even being this close, she couldn’t verify the claims.
"Anyway, Junior Brother, I was about to take out the beast cores. You wouldn’t let do this dirty work, would you?"
Ming Yue said while looking at Jiang Hao.
Jiang Hao sighed. She hadn’t seed bothered doing it a mont ago when he wasn’t here, but now she called it dirty work.
Oh well. Now that he had found her, they had plenty of ti, so he stepped forward and began removing the beast cores.
Once he was done, he asked,
"Should we go to the next city, Senior Sister, or do you want to rest?"
"Why would I need rest, Junior Brother? These fools were trying to flee instead of fighting . It wasn’t even a warm-up to kill them. Let’s go.
In fact, I was thinking of reaching the main safe zone city early so we can break through to the Soul Sea Realm. Surely, you wouldn’t want to leave behind the treasures carried by Soul Sea Realm cultivators of these sects, would you?"
Jiang Hao nodded. He had been thinking the sa. They should reach the main city early and not waste the effort these sects in handing them their storage bags.
This was trendous wealth. There were at least two minor teleportation talismans in each bag. They were the most expensive of all talismans of sa level, and now, if he combined the talismans with those sister Ming Yue had, they had over fifty. That was a huge number.
"Should we check if any unclaid inheritance is inside?"
He asked, as inheritances could yield even greater treasures than the combined contents of all the storage bags. He had one himself but hadn’t gone through it all yet. He planned to do so after leaving the inheritance site.
"Let’s do that."
Ming Yue agreed.
They entered the city. Cultivators imdiately stepped aside to make way for Ming Yue, having witnessed her strength.
Upon entering the core area, they found that no inheritances remained to be claid, so they left for the next city. As expected, it had disciple from three sects present as well.
But this ti, they seed to be surrounding one of the disciples who had escaped from Ming Yue.
It looked like he was explaining what had happened.
They remained hidden in the bushes, waiting to see what the cultivators would decide. It would be better if they kept their stance and waited for them here to walk right into their trap.
After a while, they began leaving one by one, each using a minor teleportation talisman to escape.
"Senior Sister, how many of them escaped from you?"
"Seven of them managed to escape. They were on the outskirts and managed to flee."
Jiang Hao nodded. This ant similar things might be happening in nearby cities. They must have decided on sothing.
If he had to guess, then every one of them were gathering together . The reason was simple—they might combine all their strength to hunt them. This was perfect.
Although his abilities weren’t as widespread as his senior sister’s, there was a chance they would be revealed if soone reached the first city he was in and began asking questions.
So, there was a high chance they would only confront them when they had full confidence in their ability to kill them.
It would be amusing to see. He doubted they could prepare anything to counter the teleportation provided by his ring or his physique.
Not to ntion, he doubted they had even an inkling of how high his strength truly was. They might guess it was around the early to mid-stage of the Soul Sea Realm, but to pinpoint his exact strength was impossible.
"Senior Sister, how many levels of cities do we have to pass to reach the main city?"
"I don’t know, Junior Brother. It’s my first ti entering an inheritance site. I never asked Master or Aunt about it."
"Fifteen. Also, the main city is at least ten tis farther from the nearest safe zone in the central area than the distance between these cities."
It was Yu Yan who answered. Her father had taught her everything before allowing her to enter. He had been extrely worried.
Jiang Hao did a quick calculation. Even if five people traveled together, they wouldn’t be able to reach the main city using only minor teleportation talismans.
Unless they gathered more talismans from their sect mates, the chances were low. They would likely prefer to move together to reach the main city.
"Senior Sister, let’s go. We should be the ones to welco them at the main city, not the other way around."
Right now, they all might be on the sa level, or their enemies might even be on the next level too. But it didn’t matter. Their enemies would definitely take ti to deliberate and plan among themselves, unlike him and Ming Yue, who could move continuously. It was a given that they would reach the main city first.
Those people loved to set traps using arrays. He would assist them and lay down an array of his own. He had already mastered a trap array that could use spirit stones to trap cultivators within. It would rely act as a trap, but it would be more than sufficient.
