"Zhou Yuwen?"

As Zhou Yuwen had just sat down, a girl recognized him.

Zhou Yuwen looked up and realized it was an old acquaintance. "Oh, it's you, Senior Chen Wan?"

Chen Wan smiled faintly and glanced at Zheng Yanyan, sitting beside Zhou Yuwen, asking, "Out for a walk with your girlfriend?"

"Mm," Zhou Yuwen nodded slightly.

Hearing Zhou Yuwen's confirmation, Zheng Yanyan felt a bit pleased. At this mont, she almost seed like a well-behaved and sensible girlfriend. She gently tugged at Zhou Yuwen's hand and asked in a low voice, "Who is she?"

"Oh, let

introduce you. This is Senior Chen Wan," Zhou Yuwen said.

"Hello, I'm Chen Wan, the vice president of the student council. I saw your dance earlier—several of the guys here were totally captivated," Chen Wan said. In front of Zhou Yuwen, Chen Wan didn't act as proud as she usually did, considering he was also the vice president of the student council and had so connections. However, in front of other students, she maintained her naturally approachable deanor as a senior.

"Student council?" Zheng Yanyan found this introduction intriguing and shook Chen Wan's hand. For a first-year student, the title of vice president might command so respect, but Zheng Yanyan wasn't overly impressed. Instead, she was curious about how Zhou Yuwen had such connections.

"Hello, President Chen," Zheng Yanyan responded with so politeness.

Chen Wan couldn't help but laugh at this and said, "No need to be so formal, just call

Senior or Sister Wan. Have you studied dance before?"

"Mm, just a bit."

Zheng Yanyan sat next to Zhou Yuwen, conversing with Chen Wan. Chen Wan ntioned that the highlight of the evening's event had been their performance.

"By the way, why didn't you two go up and sing a duet?" Chen Wan asked curiously.

Zheng Yanyan wasn't sure about the depth of Zhou Yuwen's relationship with Chen Wan, so she hesitated to boast. She glanced at Zhou Yuwen, who explained, "She doesn't sing very well, and the girl I sang with is a mutual friend. We had planned it earlier, though I didn't expect the kiss on stage."

"Oh, I see," Chen Wan replied with a slight smile. "I understand. If my boyfriend were singing with another girl, I'd also want to declare my territory."

Zheng Yanyan, however, got a little annoyed and playfully shook her fist. "Who says I don't sing well? Hmph!"

Chen Wan found this scene amusing and couldn't help but laugh.

The students ford a circle, continuing their lively conversations. Chen Wan fetched two cans of beer for Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan. Zheng Yanyan felt slightly embarrassed, but Chen Wan reassured her that plenty was left over from the event.

"Thank you, Senior," Zheng Yanyan said.

There were about twenty students in the circle, including first-year students who hadn't had enough fun, so instructors, and mbers of the student council who had helped with the military training showcase. After the showcase ended, they gathered on the lawn, chatting and listening to music under the bright moonlight.

Initially, Chen Wan was the only one chatting with Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan, but soon a few more girls recognized them and joined the conversation.

At this point, Chen Wan introduced Zheng Yanyan to a beautiful girl nad Tao Tian, who was the head of the arts departnt.

"Hey, Zheng Yanyan, your dancing is impressive. Are you interested in joining the arts departnt?" Chen Wan asked with a smile.

Zheng Yanyan felt a bit shy, but she was interested in joining the departnt.

Chen Wan told Zheng Yanyan, "If you want to join the arts departnt, just toast our departnt head, and she'll give you a special pass."

Zheng Yanyan looked at Tao Tian. As a second-year student and head of the arts departnt, Tao Tian exuded a distinct aura. At 170 cm, she was on par with Zheng Yanyan, but her fra was slightly larger, giving her a well-proportioned figure with a slim waist and long legs. She wore a blue sweatshirt and black leggings, complented by white mid-calf socks.

Though Chen Wan had directed the conversation towards her, Tao Tian pretended not to hear it.

Zheng Yanyan, curious, asked, "Isn't there usually a selection process to join the arts departnt?"

Chen Wan smiled but didn't respond.

Tao Tian finally said, "Yes, there's usually a selection process, but you have the right qualifications. With your dance background, we can make an exception."

"Oh," Zheng Yanyan responded politely. She didn't want to appear too arrogant in front of others.

With Chen Wan acting as the interdiary, the matter was essentially settled.

Chen Wan jokingly said, "Tao, I've brought a talent to your arts departnt, haven't I? Zheng Yanyan, you should toast the departnt head."

Zheng Yanyan felt that joining the art departnt would indeed be beneficial. At the very least, she could flaunt it when she returned to the dormitory. Shen Yu and Su Qing had been discussing which clubs to join, with Su Qing advising Shen Yu on the best choices for gaining valuable resources at the university.

Although Zheng Yanyan didn't care much for such things, she couldn't help but think about how cool it would be to nonchalantly ntion that she'd already been specially recruited into the art departnt. At the sa ti, they were still busy figuring things out.

Of course, Zheng Yanyan knew this was largely due to Zhou Yuwen's connections.

"Here's to you, Departnt Head Tao," Zheng Yanyan said, raising her beer can.

Tao Tian maintained her composed deanor, rely clinking cans with Zheng Yanyan and taking a small sip. "Your boyfriend sure is reserved—he hasn't said a word all night."

Zhou Yuwen had been sitting quietly, listening to the music, but when he heard this, he turned to look at Tao Tian.

Chen Wan giggled and said, "Zhou, the departnt head just gave your girlfriend a special pass into the arts departnt. Aren't you going to toast her in return?"

Zhou Yuwen wasn't particularly interested in the various student organizations, but seeing Tao Tian's reserved attitude in front of him, he reluctantly raised his can. "Well then, cheers to you, Departnt Head Tao."

Tao Tian held her can out and smiled, waiting for Zhou Yuwen to clink his can against hers.

Zhou Yuwen had to reach out and clink cans with her.

Only after they clinked cans did Tao Tian seem satisfied. She tilted her head back and finished half her beer in one gulp. A bit of beer trickled down from her lips to her chin, glistening in the dim light.

After finishing her drink, Tao Tian wiped her mouth and shook her empty can, then looked at Zhou Yuwen with interest.

"Senior finished her beer. It's your turn, Zhou Yuwen," Chen Wan said, joining the fun.

They were clearly picking on the freshn, but since Zhou Yuwen already had a reputation, they felt justified in teasing him. Chen Wan had introduced him earlier, saying, "This is the guy I was telling you about—my boss, the head distributor for our campus cards in Xianlin University City!"

The first-year students didn't understand what it ant to be the "head distributor."

Zheng Yanyan certainly understood. From the mont Chen Wan introduced Zhou Yuwen, Tao Tian's attitude had shifted. At the very least, it confird that Zhou Yuwen was indeed wealthy.

After finishing his can of beer, Tao Tian seed to warm up to Zhou Yuwen, suggesting, "I heard you singing earlier, and you're quite good. Why don't you and your girlfriend join the arts departnt?"

"I think I'll pass. I'm more interested in joining the student council," Zhou Yuwen replied casually.

Chen Wan teased, "Then you'll have to toast

too."

"Co on, Senior, give

a break," Zhou Yuwen said, laughing.

Zheng Yanyan admired Zhou Yuwen's ability to handle himself in such situations. She realized that what she liked about Zhou Yuwen was his unique charm—no matter what group he was in, he always managed to beco the center of attention, even when he wasn't trying.

As Zhou Yuwen's "girlfriend," Zheng Yanyan was respected by the association.

So, the night continued with Zheng Yanyan chatting and drinking with Zhou Yuwen and a bunch of seniors she didn't know, eventually securing a spot in the art departnt easily.

At first, the group consisted mostly of instructors who were in uniform and playing guitar. Still, after 11:30 PM, so students started leaving, and the instructors decided to call it a night, seeing it was getting late. Most of those left were student council mbers, along with a few girls who stayed behind to listen to music or play on their phones.

At this point, anyone who could play guitar took a turn performing. For instance, another student council vice president, Xiao Yang, played a song by Lo Ta-yu called The Story of Ti, which received a round of applause.

Then, Xiao Yang said, "I have another song."

"A song dedicated to our beautiful arts departnt head, Tao Tian."

After finishing Lo Ta-yu's song, Xiao Yang sang another, Those Years.

Since the movie You Are the Apple of My Eye beca popular in 2012, its the song, Those Years, had beco the go-to confession song for college students. The aning of the song was evident from the lyrics alone.

And since Xiao Yang had specifically dedicated it to Tao Tian, what he was trying to express was clear.

Though Tao Tian didn't seem interested in Xiao Yang, she remained composed, not showing any particular affection for him.

Xiao Yang's guitar skills were decent, and his performance elicited so cheers.

Chen Wan, however, found it a bit dull and turned to Zhou Yuwen, saying, "Hey, Zhou Yuwen, you sing so well. You must know how to play the guitar too, right?"

"I know a little," Zhou Yuwen replied.

"Then why don't you play a song for us?"

Zhou Yuwen shook his head. "No, I think Xiao Yang's playing is good enough."

"Oh, co on, you'd definitely play better," Chen Wan insisted.

Despite Chen Wan's urging, Zhou Yuwen refused to perform. Finally, Chen Wan said, "Look, you sang with another girl earlier, and even though your girlfriend didn't get mad, she's probably feeling a bit jealous. Now's your chance to make it up to her. Take a lesson from our vice president Xiao and play a song for your girlfriend to calm her down."

"What? Zhou Yuwen can sing?" Tao Tian chid in with a playful smile.

Zhou Yuwen looked at Zheng Yanyan and asked, "Are you really jealous?"

Zhou Yuwen had expected Zheng Yanyan to stand up for him, but to his surprise, she mischievously said, "Of course I am!"

Chen Wan covered her mouth, laughing. When Xiao Yang finished his guitar performance, Chen Wan quickly snatched the guitar and handed it to Zhou Yuwen. "Co on, Zhou, play a song for your girlfriend!"

"Yeah, play a song!" everyone else chid in.

There were about seven or eight mbers of the student council present. During the earlier drinking session, they got to know Zhou Yuwen pretty well, and they all assud that Zheng Yanyan was his girlfriend.

They all joined in the fun, urging him to play a song.

Xiao Yang also teased, "Bro, Tao isn't even my girlfriend, and I sang a song for her. How can you not sing one for your own girlfriend?"

"Play a song!"

"Play a song!" everyone chanted, clapping in unison.

At this point, Zheng Yanyan had beco more reserved, sitting with her long legs crossed on the grass, waiting for Zhou Yuwen to sing.

Zhou Yuwen asked, "You really want

to sing?"

"Can you?" Zheng Yanyan asked with a playful smile.

"I can sing, but it's going to cost you," Zhou Yuwen replied.

"Huh?"

Zhou Yuwen didn't elaborate, and Chen Wan had already shoved the guitar into his hands, leaving him no choice.

However, Zhou Yuwen wasn't the type to show off by playing songs that didn't belong to this era. First, he had no intention of entering the entertainnt industry, so performing a groundbreaking song here would only cause unnecessary attention without yielding any real benefits.

Moreover, if he sang such a song, Su Qing would imdiately realize he was reborn.

Entertainnt was ant to be just that—there was no need to take it too seriously.

It was nearly midnight, and the moon was still high in the sky, illuminating the school's sports field. The gentle night breeze brushed against the students' cheeks, providing a comfortable sensation.

Zhou Yuwen sat in the middle of the circle, holding the guitar.

He gently strumd the strings:

6151

45651...

The low tones of the prelude imdiately evoked the feeling of sumr.

"Oh, I know this! Sunny Day!" Chen Wan exclaid, her eyes lighting up.

The little yellow flower in the story ??

Has been floating around since the year I was born ??

While outsiders might only enjoy the spectacle, those with a discerning ear could tell that Zhou Yuwen's guitar playing was far superior to Xiao Yang's. Xiao Yang's guitar skills were average, and his singing wasn't professionally trained. Compared to Zhou Yuwen, it was like night and day.

Rember that Zhou Yuwen had been playing guitar for over a decade.

Although it had been a while since he last played when he picked up the guitar, he found that his skills had not deteriorated, but they had improved.

This surprised Zhou Yuwen.

Since he had started playing, he decided to do his best.

And, of course, he wanted to impress Zheng Yanyan.

He kept his eyes on her as he played.

This was exactly what Zheng Yanyan had wanted. But when Zhou Yuwen kept staring at her, especially in front of everyone, Zheng Yanyan suddenly felt shy.

Her face turned red, and she lowered her head, biting her lower lip as she nervously glanced at Zhou Yuwen.

However, Zhou Yuwen didn't let her off the hook. He kept his gaze fixed on her, insisting on making eye contact.

The other students found this scene amusing.

Of course, not everyone was pleased.

For example, Xiao Yang's face showed discomfort—he had just been thoroughly outshone.

And Tao Tian's expression wasn't particularly happy either. She might not have liked Xiao Yang, but being popular was different. Now, Zhou Yuwen had completely stolen the spotlight.

Of course, if Zhou Yuwen had been playing the song for her, that would have been another story.

Once upon a ti, there was soone who loved you for a long ti ??

But gradually, the wind blew the distance between us far apart ??

By the ti Zhou Yuwen finished the song, Zheng Yanyan's face was bright red, especially as everyone around her started teasing her. At this mont, Zheng Yanyan felt both amused and annoyed.

She was moved—she hadn't expected Zhou Yuwen to be able to play guitar so well.

And Zhou Yuwen had specifically played for her this ti.

The only regret was that Zhou Yuwen still wasn't officially her boyfriend.

After the song ended, the group erupted in applause.

As Zhou Yuwen returned the guitar to Xiao Yang, Xiao Yang couldn't help but make a sour comnt, "Bro, with those skills, you could totally beco the president of the guitar club."

Zhou Yuwen smiled and said to Zheng Yanyan, still sitting there, "It's getting late. Shall we go?"

At this point, Zheng Yanyan was being teased by Chen Wan and Tao Tian. Chen Wan said, "Why is your face all red? Are you even more in love with your boyfriend now?"

"Of course! How about this—I'll give up my position as head of the arts departnt to you, and you give

your boyfriend?" Tao Tian joked.

This left Zheng Yanyan at a loss for words. Even though she was usually quite confident, she couldn't help but feel shy in this situation.

It wasn't until Zhou Yuwen suggested they leave that she reluctantly agreed.

"Leaving already?"

"How much longer do you want to stay?" Zhou Yuwen asked.

Though embarrassed, she did enjoy the feeling of being admired by everyone.

But Zhou Yuwen was determined to leave, so she had no choice but to follow him.

Before they left, Tao Tian slipped Zhou Yuwen a piece of paper.

"Such talent with the guitar—it would be a sha not to join the arts departnt!" Tao Tian whispered in Zhou Yuwen's ear as she took the opportunity to speak to him.

Once they had left the group, Zhou Yuwen unfolded the paper to see what was written on it, only to find a long string of phone numbers and a winking smiley face drawn at the end.

Seeing this, Zheng Yanyan pouted in jealousy. "Did Tao Tian give that to you?"

"You saw it, didn't you?"

"Hmph."

"What are you pouting for?"

"I'm jealous."

"You're not even my girlfriend yet!"

"Then why are you holding my hand?"

"Oh, should I let go then?"

"No!"

They had started holding hands when they left without realizing it, and now it felt awkward to let go.

Zhou Yuwen asked, "You still don't want to go back to the dorm?"

"Let's stay out a bit longer."

Earlier, she had just wanted to avoid returning to the dorm, but now she genuinely wanted to spend more ti with Zhou Yuwen.

Zhou Yuwen suggested, "How about we get a room then?"

Hearing this, Zheng Yanyan playfully smacked Zhou Yuwen. "You're so annoying. You didn't even agree to date ."

"What if I agree now?"

"No!"

"Huh?"

"Because you're only agreeing to date

so we can get a room."

As she said this, Zheng Yanyan's tone beca cautious, and her expression softened.

Indeed, no matter how confident a girl seed, they always showed a bit of vulnerability when it ca to this topic.

Originally, Zhou Yuwen had thought about taking things further with her tonight, but it seed that wouldn't happen.

So, he continued accompanying Zheng Yanyan as they wandered the sports field.

By now, their level of intimacy had grown. Although Zhou Yuwen hadn't officially agreed to be Zheng Yanyan's boyfriend, he hadn't denied it either. Zheng Yanyan had subconsciously started treating him as her boyfriend, holding his arm as they walked. Sotis, when her chest brushed against his arm, she didn't feel the least bit awkward.

Zheng Yanyan asked Zhou Yuwen when he had learned to play guitar.

"A long ti ago," Zhou Yuwen replied.

"Then why didn't you play during the military training showcase?"

"Why should I have played during the showcase?"

Zheng Yanyan giggled, and as they walked, they reached the area of the sports field with the parallel bars.

Zheng Yanyan wanted to show off her skills on the parallel bars.

She asked Zhou Yuwen, "Do you think I can lift myself up?"

Zhou Yuwen said, "Just be careful not to fall."

"Hey, don't underestimate !"

And with that, Zheng Yanyan easily lifted herself up on the parallel bars.

"See? Aren't I amazing?"

"Amazing."

"Zhou Yuwen, can you please stop talking like that?"

"Like what?"

"I don't know, but it's really annoying."

Zheng Yanyan sat on one of the bars, her legs swinging idly beneath her pleated skirt, showing off her slender, sock-clad legs.

"Co here," Zheng Yanyan called Zhou Yuwen over.

Zhou Yuwen asked her why.

But when he got closer, Zheng Yanyan suddenly reached out, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him towards her.

Since Zheng Yanyan was sitting on the parallel bars, she was slightly taller than Zhou Yuwen, looking down at him from above. "Tell , am I the first girl you've played guitar for?"

"In this world, yes, you are," Zhou Yuwen said with a smile, gazing at her.

Hearing this, Zheng Yanyan was delighted. She jumped down from the bars and naturally ended up in Zhou Yuwen's arms.

Thankfully, Zhou Yuwen caught her and held her in his arms.

"You're really not afraid of falling, are you?" Zhou Yuwen said.

"Zhou Yuwen, be my boyfriend!" Under the moonlight, Zheng Yanyan's eyes sparkled with determination as she smiled and made her request.

Zhou Yuwen looked at her and smiled as well. He moved forward, pressing her against the parallel bars, and asked, "What's in it for

if I beco your boyfriend?"

"Hmm, we can eat together, watch movies together, and you can kiss

and touch

anyti you want!" Zheng Yanyan said proudly, tilting her head up.

Zhou Yuwen playfully tapped her on the forehead with his.

"Ow!"

"So, if I don't beco your boyfriend, I can't kiss or touch you?"

"Of course not!"

"Really?"

Zhou Yuwen leaned closer, his forehead still against hers, and asked with a grin.

"I…"

At this mont, they were so close that Zheng Yanyan couldn't et Zhou Yuwen's gaze. She lowered her head shyly, unable to maintain eye contact.

"Hm? Can I or can't I?" Zhou Yuwen continued to tease her, his voice soft and coaxing.

"Can I?"

Zheng Yanyan was too embarrassed to look up, but Zhou Yuwen lifted her chin, forcing her to et his eyes.

"Can I?" Zhou Yuwen asked again, inching even closer.

"Mm…"

This "Mm" wasn't an answer from Zheng Yanyan—it was because Zhou Yuwen had already kissed her.

The two shared a kiss under the moonlight, by the parallel bars.

This was their first real kiss. Before, it had only been on the cheek or a quick peck, and Zheng Yanyan always initiated it.

But this ti, Zhou Yuwen took the lead, making up for all the missed opportunities.

Zheng Yanyan was nervous, her legs straight and pressed together. Since Zhou Yuwen was taller, and intentionally teasing her, she had to stand on tiptoe to reach him.

Zhou Yuwen was being a bit mischievous.

After a quick kiss, he would lift his head slightly.

This turned the tables, making it seem like Zheng Yanyan was chasing after him for more.

Eventually, Zheng Yanyan got fed up. She wrapped her arms around Zhou Yuwen's neck and pulled him in tightly.
