“What are you two doing over there?! Cut the original vocals!” Chang Hao suddenly appeared, shouting at Zhou Yuwen just in ti. He manually turned off the original track and noticed Zhou Yuwen looking a bit off, sitting without selecting any songs.
“What’s up with you? Finished picking songs?” Chang Hao asked.
Zhou Yuwen responded with a simple "yeah" and returned to the sofa.
Chang Hao turned to Zheng Yanyan, “What’s up with him?”
“Just sing your song!” Zheng Yanyan gave Chang Hao a look, amused by Zhou Yuwen pretending nothing had happened. God knew Zhou Yuwen was the first guy to touch her there. She had been startled but found his stunned expression amusing. On a whim, she had asked that provocative question. After all, it was already an awkward situation. Her words were both humorous and a way to ease the tension. A na??ve boy might stay up all night excited over such a small incident.
Even Zhou Yuwen, a thirty-year-old man, felt his arm turn to jelly at the touch. Yanyan might look petite, but she was well-endowed and probably wasn't wearing a bra, just pasties. The feeling was certainly... interesting.
Zhou Yuwen hadn't been sitting long when Su Qing joined him, scrutinizing him. “What were you doing with Yanyan just now?”
“Just picking a song.”
“Do you have to be that close to pick a song?” Su Qing retorted jealously.
Zhou Yuwen ignored her. Chang Hao had finished singing "Sudden Self," and his next song was "Sailor" by Zheng Zhihua.
Li Qiang grumbled, “Hey, Brother Hao, why are all the songs yours?”
“Just this one more!” Chang Hao loved singing, raising an open bottle of beer toward Li Qiang to join him.
Li Qiang rely complained but then asked, “Who’s singing 'Red Bean' next?”
Shen Yu said it was her.
After picking her song, Zheng Yanyan returned to the sofa. She wanted to sit by Zhou Yuwen, but Su Qing was there, so she sat further away, crossing her long legs. In her dorm, only she and Lu Lin had long, slender legs. Lu Lin wore jeans that showed off her legs' length, but Yanyan’s were truly striking, especially in the dim KTV light, with white socks adding to the effect, making them seem even longer and whiter, constantly drawing Zhou Yuwen’s gaze.
The earlier accidental touch had Zhou Yuwen feeling restless. A thirty-year-old man shouldn't be so affected, but he was. Maybe it was the eighteen-year-old hormones, or the fact he hadn’t had an outlet since his rebirth. He needed a girlfriend soon.
Trying to distract himself, Zhou Yuwen took a swig of beer. Su Qing asked why he was drinking alone.
Zhou Yuwen raised his glass, “Want to join?”
They clinked glasses, and though Su Qing was pleased, she still advised against drinking too much.
Zheng Yanyan, anwhile, noticed everything, deliberately flaunting her legs in front of Zhou Yuwen. Her sneakers and white socks swung in his view, testing his self-control. Not that she had feelings for him, but seeing Su Qing, an outstanding girl, focus solely on Zhou Yuwen, she felt compelled to test his charm. Plus, she was impressed by the deluxe room Zhou Yuwen had booked and his tall, handso appearance in the dim light.
“Next up, 'Red Bean!'”
“Alright!” The room clapped enthusiastically for Shen Yu, who shyly took the mic, saying she wasn’t good at singing and wanted the original vocals on.
“No worries, no strangers here,” they encouraged her, even though she found it wasn’t the version she knew.
There were different versions of “Red Bean”: one by Wang Fei solo and another by Khalil Fong and Wang Fei. The version they had was the duet.
As the music began, Zhou Yuwen took the mic, singing the male part with a magnetic voice, surprising everyone with his skill and depth.
Chang Hao was especially impressed, as Zhou Yuwen’s singing was clearly trained. Zhou Yuwen gestured for Shen Yu to join in. Singing along with soone was much easier, especially for a shy girl like Shen Yu.
As they sang, Zhou Yuwen guided her through the song, helping her shine. During the duet, he walked over to Shen Yu, holding out his hand.
“Oh~” Chang Hao cheered, always up for so fun. Shen Yu hesitated but eventually gave in to the mont, letting Zhou Yuwen lead her to the front.
They sang, hand in hand, looking into each other's eyes. Though it was just for fun, such monts often stirred real feelings in girls.
The room applauded loudly as they finished, and Zhou Yuwen returned to his seat, leaving Shen Yu feeling a bit lost without his touch.
The applause continued, but Shen Yu could still feel the warmth from Zhou Yuwen’s hand.
