Zhao Yuan enthusiastically pitched the second-hand items their dormitory had collected to Jiang Xinyi, showing off books, stationery, and stuffed dolls won from claw machines.

To be honest, no matter how hard Zhao Yuan tried to sell them, these items simply were not what Jiang Xinyi needed.

Jiang Xinyi was actually quite curious about the relationship between Zhou Yuwen and Li Shiqi, feeling that Li Shiqi was sohow different from the other girls around him.

The two of them did not seem to share any romantic feelings, yet there was a faint trace of lingering ties between them.

It was truly quite strange.

Jiang Xinyi remained absent-minded, stealing glances at Zhou Yuwen and Li Shiqi in the distance.

Since standing around doing nothing was rather dull, Zhou Yuwen and Li Shiqi decided to simply take a stroll around the campus.

Zhou Yuwen casually remarked that as expected of a century-old famous school, their awareness was high, as his own university did not hold such charity sales.

In response, Li Shiqi simply ntioned that she had read Zhou Yuwen's novel.

"Oh?" Zhou Yuwen replied with a hint of surprise.

Truthfully, no matter how well his novel was written, the target audience was ultimately male. Having a girl read it made Zhou Yuwen feel sowhat awkward, so he asked, "Is that so? What did you think of it?"

Li Shiqi shook her head, admitting that she found it a bit difficult to read on.

"That is completely normal," he said.

Actually, Li Shiqi had not brought up the topic to critique the book, but rather because their high school classmates had been discussing it.

"They said the character Shen Xiaoyu was based on

as the prototype?" Li Shiqi asked, her tone slightly probing.

Zhou Yuwen could not help but smile upon hearing this. The character definitely was not based on Li Shiqi, as she already had a real-life template from his past life, but he could not exactly say that out loud.

So Zhou Yuwen could only nod and say, "Well, now that you ntion it, she was indeed modeled after you to so extent."

"However, I do not think I can say she is entirely based on you. After all, back in high school, I did spend so ti observing you, and the version of you that I saw might not be the real you," Zhou Yuwen added.

Hearing this, the corners of Li Shiqi's mouth curled up slightly. She was indeed not the sa type of girl as Shen Xiaoyu, but hearing that Zhou Yuwen had spent ti observing her still made her quite happy.

Afterward, Li Shiqi brought up the topic of Zhou Yuwen's relationship with Zheng Yanyan.

Li Shiqi was fully aware of the drama that had unfolded on his school forum.

She asked Zhou Yuwen if his girlfriend really had sothing going on with that Chang Hao.

Zhou Yuwen replied that it was just people talking nonsense and told her not to mind it.

"So, are the two of you broken up right now?" she pressed.

As they strolled up to a stall set up by a female student, Zhou Yuwen noticed a rather pretty red scarf, so he picked it up and asked for the price.

"Fifty yuan," the girl answered.

"It is purely handmade!" the girl added, enthusiastically promoting her wares.

Zhou Yuwen liked it quite a bit and thought, 'Buying this supports the mountainous regions anyway.' However, he suddenly noticed the abbreviation "zym" embroidered on the tail end of the scarf.

He pointed at it and asked, "What does this an?"

"Uh, please do not mind the details. If you really want it, I can make it a little cheaper for you," she replied.

The female university student was straightforward and was not truly out here to run a cutthroat business. Hearing Zhou Yuwen's question, she simply laughed in embarrassnt.

After a bit of gentle probing, he found out that it was actually the initials of her cheating boyfriend.

Since she caught him cheating before she could give him the scarf, she had no choice but to bring it here to sell.

The girl beca highly indignant as she recounted the story.

"Alright," Zhou Yuwen said, "I am deeply sympathetic to your situation."

However, he had completely lost interest in the scarf.

After wandering around the area, Zhou Yuwen ended up not buying anything.

When Li Shiqi pressed him about his relationship status again, Zhou Yuwen did not intentionally try to deceive her. He simply stated that it was perfectly normal for a couple to have conflicts and bicker, and that they would not imdiately break up over sothing like that.

Hearing this, Li Shiqi was visibly disappointed.

When Zhou Yuwen first experienced his rebirth, he had made a vow to himself: he would never let down the bad girls, but he would try his best to avoid touching the good girls.

His approach to relationships had always been the sa—if a girl approached him, he would clearly explain exactly what kind of person he was. If the girl was still willing to be with him after that, only then would he proceed.

Li Shiqi was a good girl, and Zhou Yuwen was well aware that she had feelings for him.

But even if he excluded Zheng Yanyan from the picture.

He still had Lu Lin, Qu Jing, and on top of that, Su Qing.

There was absolutely no reason to play with her pure feelings.

Zhou Yuwen hoped that she would go on to beco an excellent diplomat just like she did in his past life. That was exactly why he insisted on maintaining a strictly pure relationship with her.

Later on, Zhou Yuwen told her that she should focus more of her energy on studying and not let herself be distracted by trivial matters.

"Are you still working that tutoring job from before?" he asked.

"Yes," she replied.

"Alright. If you ever encounter any difficulties in life, do not hesitate to co to . Since you read my exclusive interview, you should know that I am definitely not lacking money right now. If you ever need it, I can lend you so."

Li Shiqi nodded, well aware that Zhou Yuwen phrasing it as a loan was his way of preserving her dignity and giving her an out.

After they had chatted for about ten minutes, Li Shiqi's other two dormmates hurried over to et them.

Because Li Shiqi knew Zhou Yuwen personally, everyone in her dorm naturally paid special attention to him and had read his exclusive interview. Seeing him in person now made them incredibly excited.

While the four girls could not be described as earth-shatteringly gorgeous, they were all well above average in terms of looks. They were all very pretty, spoke with polite refinent, and even eagerly asked Zhou Yuwen for his autograph. One of the girls went so far as to respectfully call him a master.

Zhou Yuwen offered them a polite smile and casually ntioned that he would treat them to a al when he had the ti.

"Oh my~ You never offered to treat us before, but now you suddenly know how to?"

"Exactly! Showing undue courtesy for no reason... You wouldn't happen to be offering us a al just for Shiqi's sake, would you?"

The girls were all incredibly lively and playful.

Their teasing actually made Zhou Yuwen feel a bit embarrassed. "No, it is not like that. Shiqi and I are just friends," he explained.

"Just friends?"

"But we saw you co all the way to our dormitory to pick Shiqi up!"

None of these girls were an easy target to deal with. Their rapid-fire teasing left Zhou Yuwen completely unable to resist.

In the end, it was Jiang Xinyi who saved his life, stepping in to pull him away.

Zhou Yuwen sighed helplessly at the group of girls. "Alright, I cannot keep chatting with you all. I need to leave with my friend now. Let's catch up when we have ti."

"I will treat you all to a al when I am free!" he added.

After saying his goodbyes, Zhou Yuwen left the area with Jiang Xinyi.

As soon as he was gone, the three girls from Li Shiqi's dorm imdiately began gossiping and evaluating Zhou Yuwen.

They all agreed that he was much more handso in person than he appeared online.

"He seems incredibly well-mannered too," one of them noted.

"Yeah, he gives off such a gentle and refined vibe. Shiqi, you need to make your move soon!"

"Exactly! I heard he just broke up with his girlfriend, so you really need to strike while the iron is hot."

Li Shiqi's dormmates were genuinely trying to help her out.

However, Li Shiqi did not show much excitent at their words. "He is just having a conflict with his girlfriend," she clarified. "They haven't broken up."

"They haven't broken up?"

The girls paused, imdiately looking a bit disappointed.

They muttered that Zheng Yanyan had already caused so much trouble, yet Zhou Yuwen still refused to break up with her.

"Exactly! He really is too much of a good person!"

Although his chance encounter with Li Shiqi had happened, it did not seem to create much of a splash in his life. Later on, Li Shiqi sent Zhou Yuwen two ssages.

The general gist was: "My dormmates like to talk nonsense, so please do not take what they said today to heart."

"And just for the record, I do not talk about you with my dormmates all the ti," she added.

Seeing Li Shiqi go out of her way to clarify this, Zhou Yuwen could not help but chuckle. "Oh, in that case, I am actually quite disappointed."

"?" Li Shiqi replied, clearly caught off guard.

"I finally managed to beco a famous writer," Zhou Yuwen teased. "I really thought you would brag about

all the ti."

Li Shiqi: "[Sweating]"

Putting his phone away, a faint smile played at the corners of Zhou Yuwen's mouth.

As he walked Jiang Xinyi back to her dormitory, they did not delve into any deep topics. Jiang Xinyi mostly just complained about what an absolute scummy man he was, teasing him for knowing how to flirt with younger girls no matter where he went.

Zhou Yuwen dramatically claid he was being falsely accused.

The two of them stood there bickering back and forth for a short while, and Zhou Yuwen only left after he had watched Jiang Xinyi safely enter her dormitory building.

By the ti he left the Nanjing University campus, it was already 9:30 PM.

Zhou Yuwen imdiately made a phone call to Lu Lin, apologizing and explaining that he had been held up by a few matters.

"Where are you right now?" he asked.

"It's fine," Lu Lin replied softly.

"I am already waiting downstairs at your building," she added.

In reality, Lu Lin had co downstairs just past eight o'clock. Since she had already told Zheng Yanyan earlier that she was going on a date with her boyfriend tonight, she had felt awkward lingering inside.

Hearing about the date had made Zheng Yanyan feel quite miserable.

"I envy you so much, Lu Lin," she had whined. "You have your boyfriend, but my boyfriend doesn't want

anymore."

"It is not that he doesn't want you anymore," Lu Lin had consoled her. "The two of you are just having a minor conflict, that's all."

"Aw, you are the best, Linlin! But I am still so jealous. You are abandoning

to go spend ti with your boyfriend," Zheng Yanyan had complained, hugging Lu Lin tightly and refusing to let go.

Lu Lin had gently patted Zheng Yanyan's head, telling her to stop joking around.

"It is just for tonight. I will be back tomorrow," Lu Lin had assured her.

Since she had previously claid that her boyfriend would pick her up at eight o'clock, she was too embarrassed to stay inside the apartnt until nine.

Therefore, right at eight o'clock, Lu Lin had gone out to wait outside the Lan Ting complex.

She had originally assud that Zhou Yuwen would arrive shortly. Who could have expected that he would be delayed for so long? Lu Lin was not wearing very heavy clothing, either. She only had on a pair of blue jeans and a mid-length black down jacket slipped over her top.

Her hair looked as though it had just been freshly styled into large, cascading waves, and to protect her face from the biting cold of the winter wind, she was wearing a mask.

As she got into the car, perhaps due to the mask hiding half her face, she gave off an air of an aloof and unapproachable beauty.

However, that feeling completely vanished the mont she took the mask off.

Perhaps it was a result of spending so much ti with Zheng Yanyan, but Lu Lin had actually applied a bit of light makeup today. Her long eyelashes fluttered gracefully, making her look exceptionally delicate and refined.

As soon as she buckled her seatbelt, Lu Lin asked what he had been so busy with to arrive this late.

Zhou Yuwen explained that an acquaintance had introduced a villa property to him, and he had gone over to take a look at it.

"You are looking to buy a villa?" she asked in surprise.

"Yeah. After all, I can't just keep taking you to check into a hotel room every ti, right?" Zhou Yuwen chuckled lightly. With one hand steadily gripping the steering wheel, his other hand naturally drifted over to rest casually on Lu Lin's denim-clad thigh.

Lu Lin's fashion sense had remained remarkably consistent, sothing that Zheng Yanyan had playfully complained about a few tis.

Zheng Yanyan always said that with such beautiful, long legs, Lu Lin ought to show them off for everyone to admire.

However, Lu Lin simply had no interest in doing so. Whether it was the height of sumr or the dead of winter, she could always be found wearing a pair of jeans. It almost seed as if jeans were the only type of pants she owned. Zheng Yanyan had even gifted her a few short skirts and shorts, but she rarely ever wore them.

Since it was already getting quite late, Zhou Yuwen did not bother driving around to find a fancy place. He simply found a nearby hotel and booked a room for the night.

Because he had eaten hotpot earlier that evening, the sll clinging to his clothes was quite strong.

As soon as they entered the room, he headed straight for the bathroom to take a shower.

Zhou Yuwen had asked if Lu Lin wanted to join him.

Slipping out of her down jacket, Lu Lin had replied, "You go ahead. I already showered before I ca downstairs."

"Alright then," he had said.

When Zhou Yuwen stepped out of the bathroom after his shower, he finally noticed that Lu Lin was actually wearing very little underneath her jacket. She only had on a black half-length camisole, with a translucent shirt casually draped over it. However, the shirt was so sheer that wearing it barely made a difference.

Since she had already showered at ho, she hadn't bothered taking off her clothes.

Instead, she was simply lying on the bed in her jeans, playing on her phone.

With her back to him, the denim fabric tightly hugged the curves of her voluptuous hips and beautiful legs, revealing only a pair of pink and tender soles. Looking at her, Zhou Yuwen suddenly realized that compared to the start of the sester, Lu Lin had actually grown a bit more voluptuous, exuding the alluring charm of a young married woman.

Naturally, he felt he could proudly take so credit for that.

Without wasting any words, Zhou Yuwen slipped onto the bed, wrapping his arms around Lu Lin from behind and asking her what she was playing.

"I am just chatting with Yanyan," Lu Lin said, finally putting her phone down as she felt his embrace.

While Zhou Yuwen had been showering, she had almost fallen asleep. She was just too tired.

As Zhou Yuwen slid his arm under her, she cooperatively lifted her body slightly to rest comfortably in his embrace. Zhou Yuwen picked up her phone, glanced at the screen for a mont, and teased, "What is there for the two of you to talk about so much? Have you seriously taken on the role of her mother now?"

Lu Lin found this incredibly amusing. "Well, if I am her mother, wouldn't that make

your mother-in-law?"

"Now that is exactly what I like to hear," Zhou Yuwen chuckled.

"Mother-in-law, while your precious daughter isn't here, why don't we do a few naughty things together!"

Laughing, Zhou Yuwen wrapped his arms around her and rolled over, smoothly pinning her beneath him.

Catching onto his roleplay, Lu Lin rolled her eyes at him and playfully chided, "You always have so many tricks up your sleeve."

"We are an old couple now," Zhou Yuwen reasoned smoothly. "It is perfectly normal for us to spice things up with a few tricks."

Even as he spoke, he was already efficiently pulling Lu Lin's translucent outerwear over her head.

This left her dressed in nothing but the black half-length camisole, exposing her incredibly slender waist to the cool air of the room.

The true charm of this specific pair of jeans lay in its button design.

It was naturally a bit loose.

Because of this, the waistband drooped slightly, creating a gentle curvature that offered a tantalizing glimpse of the scenery just beneath her slender waist.

This half-hidden, coy sort of reveal was by far the most beautiful kind of allure.

Wrapping her arms securely around Zhou Yuwen's neck, Lu Lin asked, "Are you planning on letting Zheng Yanyan live in that apartnt permanently?"

"If she wants to stay there, she can stay for as long as she likes," Zhou Yuwen replied dismissively.

"Are you still planning on breaking up with her?" Lu Lin asked.

"I don't know," Zhou Yuwen admitted.

"It depends entirely on her attitude. I just feel like she really isn't suited for her current position as my main girlfriend. How about you talk to her first and see if the two of you can swap positions?" Zhou Yuwen casually suggested, his fingers deftly popping open the tal button of her jeans as he spoke.

Lu Lin rolled her eyes at his absurd idea. She knew Zheng Yanyan's temper all too well—there was absolutely no way that proud girl would ever agree to swap positions with her.

Besides, even if a position swap were sohow possible, Zhou Yuwen's official, public girlfriend status would never fall to her anyway.

Lu Lin was perfectly aware of where she stood.

After unbuttoning her jeans, Zhou Yuwen firmly grasped the waistband and began pulling them down.

Ever cooperative, Lu Lin lifted her hips slightly to help him slide them off.

As she moved, the elegant lines of her butterfly bones were perfectly displayed right before Zhou Yuwen's eyes.

Zhou Yuwen pulled her close and passionately kissed her for a while.

In response, Lu Lin proactively pecked his lips a couple of tis.

Taking the hint, Zhou Yuwen then trailed his kisses down to her delicate neck.
