Chang Hao saw the scene and instinctively wanted to turn around and leave. But then he thought, "Wait, this is my room!"
And another thing!
Chang Hao’s gaze fell on Lu Lin, who was sitting on Zhou Yuwen's lap. That should have been Yanyan's spot.
How could Yanyan be so good to this woman?
Chang Hao couldn’t understand how Lu Lin could sit so comfortably on Zhou Yuwen's lap without a shred of guilt.
In that mont, his heart was filled with disgust for Lu Lin.
Lu Lin, however, didn’t seem to care. While being caught getting intimate with Zhou Yuwen was sowhat awkward, she stood up from his lap and said, "I’ll head upstairs now?"
"Mm, go ahead."
With that, Lu Lin tidied her hair a bit and walked past Chang Hao.
Chang Hao didn’t say a word. It wasn’t until Lu Lin left that he suddenly said to Zhou Yuwen, "I thought you were done with her."
Zhou Yuwen thought Chang Hao was a genuinely good person, whether as a class representative or just a classmate.
The only downside was that he ddled too much. This wasn’t really his business.
Zhou Yuwen calmly put on his pajamas and left Chang Hao's room.
Standing half a head taller and with a bulkier build, Zhou Yuwen seed intimidating as he walked past Chang Hao. For a mont, Chang Hao felt nervous, wondering if Zhou Yuwen might hit him.
Should he fight back?
But then again, he probably couldn’t beat Zhou Yuwen.
Yet he couldn’t just stand there and take a beating, right?
As these thoughts raced through his head, Chang Hao steeled himself. He decided that if Zhou Yuwen dared to strike, he would counter without hesitation.
But Zhou Yuwen rely approached, glanced at Chang Hao, hesitated, and then... turned.
That slight motion made Chang Hao reflexively shield his face.
It turned out Zhou Yuwen had simply turned to grab his watch, which he had nearly forgotten in the room.
After putting on the watch, Zhou Yuwen left without saying a word.
Chang Hao stood there for a long mont, shielding himself, only to realize Zhou Yuwen had ignored him entirely.
He was ignored?
The thought of his earlier fear, coupled with Zhou Yuwen’s dismissive attitude, made Chang Hao’s blood boil.
He would have preferred being punched over being treated as if he didn’t exist.
Yes, Zhou Yuwen was rich. He could provide Yanyan with everything she wanted.
But so what?
Did that give him the right to be unfaithful?
With this thought, Chang Hao stord out.
"Three days!" Chang Hao called after Zhou Yuwen.
Zhou Yuwen didn’t seem to care.
So Chang Hao shouted again, "In three days, you’ll either clarify things with Yanyan or cut ties with Lu Lin. If you don’t, I’ll step in and tell her myself!"
Zhou Yuwen finally turned to look at Chang Hao and said, "If you want to say sothing, go ahead and say it now. It makes no difference to ."
"You—!" Chang Hao hated Zhou Yuwen’s indifferent attitude. How could he act so detached?
After leaving Chang Hao’s room, Zhou Yuwen intended to spend so ti in the room on the eighth floor. However, as soon as he entered, he saw Shen Yu stepping out of the bathroom.
Though nothing inappropriate was exposed, Shen Yu, a proper young woman, had damp hair and was wearing very little. Her bare shoulders and midriff were visible as she held a white T-shirt she was about to put on.
Seeing Zhou Yuwen enter, Shen Yu instinctively darted back into the bathroom while Zhou Yuwen quickly averted his gaze.
Though he hadn’t seen much, the encounter was undeniably awkward.
Su Qing, who had witnessed the scene, burst into laughter. "Zhou Yuwen, are you actually shy?"
"Of course," Zhou Yuwen replied, "I’m a pure young man. Why wouldn’t I be?"
Su Qing found his response even more amusing.
"You? Pure? Yeah, right!"
Zhou Yuwen rolled his eyes at her.
Su Qing, with her freshly braided pigtail and an air of youthful charm, asked, "Aren’t your classmates still downstairs playing Werewolf?"
"Don’t know," Zhou Yuwen replied indifferently.
"Take
to see them," Su Qing suggested with a smile.
"If you want to see them, go on your own," Zhou Yuwen replied.
"But I don’t know them!" Su Qing pouted and grabbed Zhou Yuwen’s arm. While Yanyan was soaking in the bath, she began to act coy.
In a low voice, she said, "I’ve put up with your little sweetheart for so long. Can’t you indulge
a bit?"
Zhou Yuwen sighed. How could he refuse when Su Qing was being like this?
With Su Qing beaming, he reluctantly agreed and led her out of the room.
In the elevator, Su Qing clung to Zhou Yuwen’s arm.
"Stop hanging on ," Zhou Yuwen said.
"It looks bad if soone sees us."
"There’s no one here!" Su Qing argued. "It’s just the two of us in the elevator."
Zhou Yuwen pointed at the surveillance cara. "It’s recording."
"Now you’re scared?" Su Qing teased.
"This afternoon, when you were holding Lu Lin’s hand behind Yanyan’s back, you didn’t seem scared at all."
Zhou Yuwen froze and looked at Su Qing. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
"I won’t tell anyone," Su Qing said with a mischievous smile.
She continued, "I already suspected there was sothing off between you and Lu Lin. And this afternoon just confird it. Oh, Zhou Yuwen, you’ve got so nerve!"
Seeing that Su Qing knew, Zhou Yuwen stopped pretending and asked, "Did Shen Yu see?"
"Of course not," Su Qing replied with a pout.
Hearing this, Zhou Yuwen gave her a new level of respect. Leaning against the elevator wall, he tilted her chin and smiled.
"Now you’re appreciating ?" Su Qing swatted his hand away with a huff.
Zhou Yuwen only acted playful around Su Qing. Chuckling, he pinched her cheek and said, "I’ve always appreciated you."
"You’re scared of the cara now?"
Before he could respond, Su Qing leaned in and kissed him.
At first, Su Qing resisted. But Zhou Yuwen’s kissing skills had clearly improved. From her initial reluctance, Su Qing gradually closed her eyes and began to respond, even letting out soft sounds.
When they finally pulled apart, Zhou Yuwen wiped his lips, while Su Qing’s face was flushed, a mixture of shyness and amusent in her expression. She glared at him playfully and said, “Don’t think you can bribe
with this. Your secret? I’ll keep it for a lifeti.”
If Zhou Yuwen were truly devoted to Zheng Yanyan, that would actually be scarier.
As it stood, Zhou Yuwen wasn’t just with Yanyan; his relationship with Lu Lin was ambiguous too.
So what was there to fear?
No matter how many won there were, they were just passing fancies.
She, Su Qing, was the original, the true partner.
The more won there were, the more diluted Zhou Yuwen’s love for Yanyan beca.
But his love for her, Su Qing? That would never waver. They were partners—family.
The elevator had already reached the ground floor, and Su Qing was about to step out when Zhou Yuwen pulled her back in and pressed the button for the eighth floor.
Zhou Yuwen denied having any relationship with Lu Lin.
He explained that when they were holding hands earlier, it was only because Yanyan had asked him to pretend to be Lu Lin’s boyfriend since Lu Lin’s real boyfriend wasn’t around.
“I’m not as much of a scumbag as you think.”
Looking at his serious expression, Su Qing said mockingly, “Sure, sure. If I didn’t know you better, I might’ve believed you.”
Zhou Yuwen gave her a helpless look and stared at her intently. “Am I really that untrustworthy to you?”
“I…” Su Qing hesitated under his gaze. Could she have misunderstood?
Zhou Yuwen assured her, “How could I possibly have sothing going on with Lu Lin? Even if I did… why would I choose her over you?”
He had a point.
Su Qing began to waver, her confusion evident.
Seeing her doubtful expression, Zhou Yuwen found it amusing. She was still as gullible as ever.
But when Su Qing noticed him smirking, she exclaid, “Ah-ha! You’re tricking !”
Zhou Yuwen neither confird nor denied it, letting her guess. He added, “If you don’t believe , just go ask Yanyan. She’s the one who agreed to
holding Lu Lin’s hand.”
“Stop it! You’re just trying to fool !”
Even as they stepped out of the elevator, the two continued their discussion.
When they reached the hotel’s tea lounge, they found several classmates gathered, playing a nine-person round of Werewolf. Zhou Yuwen gestured for Su Qing to quiet down, signaling that the matter wasn’t to be discussed further.
Su Qing pouted but didn’t press the issue.
The ga of Werewolf seed intense. Though it was supposed to involve strategy, it often ca down to luck, especially in casual settings with beginners. Watching the chaos of a ga sotis beca the real entertainnt. A single round could lead to debates that lasted over half an hour.
Take the current ga as an example: Li Qiang was arguing fervently, but Liu Yue blindly trusted Chang Hao. Not only did she give him the antidote, but she also rallied everyone to accuse Li Qiang of being a fake seer.
Li Qiang was dumbfounded and, when the ga ended, lashed out at Liu Yue. “If you don’t want to play properly, then don’t play at all! Picking your boyfriend during the ga? Seriously?”
Liu Yue defended herself. “How was I supposed to believe you when you played the seer like a werewolf?!”
“Oh, and Chang Hao sounded like a seer to you?” Li Qiang shot back, dripping with sarcasm.
Liu Yue tried to argue further, but Li Qiang interrupted, “Just admit it—you’re into Chang Hao! You’re so biased it’s impossible to play properly. I’m done. Zhou, take over for !”
Clearly annoyed, Li Qiang quit the ga.
Even Chang Hao was uncomfortable with Liu Yue’s favoritism. He’d told her repeatedly that he wasn’t interested, but she still clung to him, even sending him ssages like:
“I left so fruit on your windowsill. Don’t forget to grab it.”
Such ssages left Chang Hao speechless, wondering how soone could be so shaless.
Li Qiang, watching from the sidelines, would tease whenever he saw fruit on the windowsill, saying, “Looks like the pearl-shell girl’s delivered again! Oh, a snake fruit this ti, Chang Hao. Care to try it?”
Chang Hao, often imrsed in gaming with his headphones on, would respond expressionlessly, “Eat it if you want. It’s got nothing to do with .”
“Oh, Mr. Popular with the ladies!” Li Qiang teased, though his words carried both sarcasm and genuine envy.
Chang Hao told Liu Yue, “If you can’t play without bias, then don’t play at all.”
“I…” Liu Yue started but couldn’t find the words to respond.
Zhou Yuwen joined the ga and played a round as a villager. With no werewolves claiming the seer role, it was a straightforward ga, and Zhou Yuwen’s solid gaplay earned the trust of the group, leading to an easy win.
During the next round, as the ga began, Zheng Yanyan, freshly bathed and fragrant, texted Zhou Yuwen:
“Are you downstairs playing Werewolf?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“Can I co down?”
“Sure, co down.”
“Is it okay if I wear this? [Photo]”
Zhou Yuwen paused as he opened the picture.
She was wearing white suspenders!
The image showed her with pink hair, a loose off-shoulder white sweater revealing a lace strap, and long, slender legs adorned with thigh-high white suspenders.
It was Zhou Yuwen’s first ti seeing her dressed like this. She looked so pure yet alluring, sparking a renewed interest in him.
“I’m coming down! (Playful emoji)”
“Don’t,” Zhou Yuwen replied imdiately.
Zheng Yanyan laughed, delighted. This outfit was ant for Zhou Yuwen’s eyes only, a little surprise for their trip to Suzhou. She had no intention of showing it to anyone else.
“Do my legs look nice?” she teased, sending another photo of herself striking a provocative pose.
That was it for Zhou Yuwen. No longer interested in Werewolf, he excused himself from the ga.
When Chang Hao saw Zhou Yuwen leaving, he asked, “Didn’t Yanyan say she wanted to play?”
“She’s too tired to co down,” Zhou Yuwen explained.
“Oh.” Chang Hao sounded disappointed.
Zhou Yuwen, taking Su Qing with him, returned to the eighth floor.
anwhile, the tea lounge downstairs grew even livelier, attracting more students until nearly midnight. It wasn’t until their teacher, Sun Lili, intervened that the group finally dispersed.
Sun Lili sent multiple reminders in their group chat, emphasizing, “We’re here for school, not a vacation! Get to bed early so you’ll be refreshed tomorrow!”
Disappointed, Zheng Yanyan decided to head down after all, wearing a coat over her outfit. But before she could even put on her shoes, she saw Zhou Yuwen and Su Qing returning.
“Huh? Why are you back?”
“Ms. Sun said we need to rest for tomorrow,” Zhou Yuwen replied.
Zheng Yanyan pouted. “We’re finally out on a trip, and she still controls us?”
“It’s a school trip,” Zhou Yuwen reminded her.
Even Shen Yu, who had also been preparing to join, was let down. Having never played Werewolf before, she was eager to try it out.
As the night wore on, Zhou Yuwen’s phone buzzed with a ssage from Liu Shuo, who hadn’t contacted him for two days.
“Bro! Where are you? (Grinning emoji)”
“Oh, if it isn’t Mr. Liu! Where have you been partying these days?”
“(Covering face emojis) Don’t tease , bro. My back is killing !”
“What?” Zhou Yuwen asked, confused.
Even through the text, he could sense Liu Shuo’s smugness.
“I’ve been at Sister Hui’s place these past two days. Haven’t even left the bed! Bro, I’m dead tired! (Grinning emojis)”
Well, that explained his absence.
Zhou Yuwen didn’t particularly care for Lu Hui, but as Liu Shuo’s elder, he felt obligated to say, “If you’ve slept with her, treat her well. Don’t let her down.”
“Treat her well? Co on, bro, she’s not so innocent girl—she didn’t even bleed! (Crying emoji)”
