The agreed ti for the card distribution was 10 AM, but people started arriving before 9:50.

"Damn, Brother Zhou, you got even more handso!" One of Zhou Yuwen's high school classmates was the first to arrive, a tall, burly guy with dark skin.

This was Liu Shuo. He transferred from a rural school during their second year of high school. His father, a small-ti businessman, had so money. When Liu Shuo first ca to the city, he acted arrogantly, thinking his physical strength made him invincible and often resorted to violence.

He even tried to bully Zhou Yuwen but was beaten by Zhou Yuwen and his friends. After that, Liu Shuo llowed out. The day after being beaten, he ca back with a sheepish grin, offering cigarettes to Zhou Yuwen and his friends, probably after getting a beating from his father as well.

Although Liu Shuo tried hard to fit into Zhou Yuwen's circle, they always saw him as an uncouth nouveau riche. Later, Liu Shuo inherited his father's quarry, earning millions yearly, and married a pretty wife. However, they still didn't fit into the sa social circles, and Zhou Yuwen and his friends never relied on Liu Shuo's money.

Zhou Yuwen hadn't seen Liu Shuo for a long ti. Seeing him now, Liu Shuo hadn't changed much—still big and cheerful. Liu Shuo had never been good at studying. After high school, his father paid a hefty sum to get him into a notorious technical college in Jinling, where the most infamous news stories often ca from.

In their previous tiline, Zhou Yuwen hadn't seen Liu Shuo again after starting university. But because of Zhou Yuwen's promotion in their group chat, Liu Shuo showed up with his classmates.

"Why bring so many people?" Zhou Yuwen asked, smiling at Liu Shuo.

"Brother Zhou, you're the general agent now. I had to show you so support! These are my classmates. Guys, say hi to Brother Zhou!" Liu Shuo ordered.

"Hi, Brother Zhou!" ca a scattered chorus.

Liu Shuo's friends were mostly big, strong guys. Zhou Yuwen quickly told them to stop, saying, "I can't take that title." Despite being happy about the business Liu Shuo brought, Zhou Yuwen clarified that the monthly cost for the card was 79 yuan.

"I suggest each dorm only gets one card and splits the cost. Getting more would be wasteful," Zhou Yuwen advised.

"I already told them that. They're not from the sa dorm. Just go ahead," Liu Shuo assured him. Zhou Yuwen relaxed and told them to line up to get their cards. He then chatted with Liu Shuo.

Just as they were catching up, Liu Shuo pulled out a pack of cigarettes and offered one to Zhou Yuwen.

"Wow, Liu, you're smoking Yuxi now," Zhou Yuwen said, taking a cigarette.

"Just average. My dad gave them to , saying I should have so good cigarettes to share with classmates now that I'm in college. But Brother Zhou, high school was all about Jinling being great, yet I feel our hotown was better. Classes were carefree, sleeping during lectures, and heading to the internet café afterward," Liu Shuo reminisced while lighting a cigarette, offering to light Zhou Yuwen's too.

Zhou Yuwen declined, returning the cigarette to Liu Shuo's pack, "I don't smoke anymore, and you should cut down too. Thanks for bringing so much business."

"Co on, we're friends!" Liu Shuo replied warmly.

Zhou Yuwen asked who the people with him were.

Liu Shuo proudly explained he was now their class representative. The two in front were his dorm mates; the rest were classmates. When they heard about the card deal, they followed him over.

"I just shouted in our group, and they all ca for the good deal," Liu Shuo boasted.

"They study chanical and electrical engineering. The class is mostly boys, and internet access is essential. They don't have much money, but they need the internet, and the deal you offer is the cheapest," Liu Shuo explained.

"Got it. Thanks, Liu," Zhou Yuwen said.

"Brother Zhou, all set," one of Liu Shuo's classmates said.

Liu Shuo's classmates looked honest and simple, mostly from rural areas.

"Wait there after you're done. Can't you see I'm catching up with a friend?" Liu Shuo barked, enjoying his mont of authority.

"Okay," the classmate replied obediently.

"Looks like you're the boss now, Liu," Zhou Yuwen teased.

"Not really, Brother Zhou. Are there many people getting cards from you?" Liu Shuo asked.

"Yes, quite a few," Zhou Yuwen nodded.

Soon, the previously scheduled custors started arriving.

"Zhou Yuwen," a soft voice called from a distance.

Before Zhou Yuwen could respond, Liu Shuo recognized the voice, "Li Shiqi! I didn't expect to see you here!" He rushed over to shake her hand.

Li Shiqi, the acknowledged high school beauty, rarely spoke to Liu Shuo. Seeing him so excited and rushing towards her, she stepped back, avoiding his handshake, and looked at him in confusion, "Excuse , who are you?"

Liu Shuo's smile froze.
