What began as a simple kiss between Zhou Yuwen and Lu Lin quickly evolved into sothing more intimate.

Lu Lin, dressed in her usual outfit of dark skinny jeans and a fitted knit top, had grown comfortable around Zhou Yuwen over the three months they had spent together. Their casual banter reflected this familiarity.

Zhou Yuwen teased, “What? In broad daylight, what more do you want?”

Lu Lin smirked. “Well, it’s not impossible.”

“Let’s save it for tonight. Co over to my place,” Zhou Yuwen suggested.

Lu Lin didn’t argue. She climbed out of his car and returned to class.

Their design program included a weekly drawing class, which was typically relaxed. The professor would lecture on composition for the first two periods, then allow students to work independently while he sipped tea in the office.

Today was no exception. In the large studio, students sketched while chatting among themselves.

Zheng Yanyan, as usual, couldn’t stop talking. “Linlin is my best friend. I already told Zhou Yuwen to take good care of her!” she announced, half-bragging.

Her tone implied that being associated with her boyfriend was a ticket to success, as long as her friends stayed loyal.

However, Shen Yu and Su Qing paid little attention to her boasts.

When Lu Lin entered the studio, Yanyan imdiately ran over, grabbing her hand. “So? What did Zhou Yuwen say to you?”

“Not much,” Lu Lin replied indifferently. Still, she could see the curiosity in everyone’s eyes and added, “He wants

to be the deputy manager of his modeling company.”

Yanyan’s face lit up with excitent. She clutched Lu Lin’s hands. “That’s amazing, Linlin! I told Zhou Yuwen all about how you helped

last night. He must have been really impressed. This is such a great opportunity—don’t let us down!”

Lu Lin felt a twinge of discomfort at Yanyan’s words. It was flattering but carried a tone of misplaced authority.

Su Qing, unable to resist, muttered sarcastically, “What does Zhou Yuwen offering Linlin a position have to do with you? Why does she have to et your expectations?”

Yanyan fired back, “It has everything to do with ! If I hadn’t spoken up for Linlin, do you think Zhou Yuwen would’ve considered her? He’s giving her this chance to replace Tao Tian. Linlin, you’d better do well!”

Despite Yanyan’s enthusiasm, Lu Lin’s practical mind couldn’t ignore the absurdity. “If you’re so invested, why don’t you take the position yourself?”

Yanyan blushed slightly and replied sheepishly, “He said he doesn’t want

to be too exposed. I’m his woman, after all.”

The remark didn’t sit well with Lu Lin. “What’s that supposed to an?” she thought, feeling slightly annoyed.

Yanyan’s boasting sparked interest among the nearby students. Before long, a few girls from the adjacent studio began eavesdropping, eventually joining the conversation.

“Wow, a modeling company? How much does it pay?” one girl asked.

“Six to seven thousand a month,” Yanyan answered confidently.

The studio buzzed with astonishnt.

“Six to seven thousand? That’s crazy! Most internships barely pay three or four thousand!”

“What does your boyfriend do, Yanyan? He sounds super rich!”

A few girls began piecing together information. “Isn’t he the one who runs that courier service and the campus takeout business? I’ve heard so seniors in the Arts Departnt talk about him. They said he even arranges part-ti jobs with big-na clients.”

Zhou Yuwen’s reputation wasn’t widespread, but those who knew of him were aware of his achievents. When the pieces clicked, the girls couldn’t help but be impressed.

“So that’s why Tao Tian is fighting so hard to be with him,” soone speculated.

But their envy quickly shifted to Lu Lin. “Linlin, if you’re going to be a manager, can you hook us up as models?”

Lu Lin found their sudden interest amusing. “Not likely,” she replied with a smirk.

anwhile, Su Qing and Shen Yu watched the scene unfold with mixed emotions. Shen Yu, always striving to prove herself, felt unsettled. She had worked tirelessly to participate in student council activities, only to see Lu Lin casually offered a managerial position through Yanyan’s connections.

Su Qing, on the other hand, felt annoyed. She picked up her phone and sent Zhou Yuwen a ssage: “I heard you’re putting Linlin in the modeling company?”

“Mm-hmm,” Zhou Yuwen replied succinctly.

Later, as Zhou Yuwen was driving, Su Qing continued ssaging him, questioning why she hadn’t been inford about the modeling company.

Zhou Yuwen responded, “I need to make money. How else would I do it without starting businesses?”

Su Qing couldn’t argue. Reflecting on her rebirth, she realized that Zhou Yuwen had been far more proactive than she had. While she had focused on Bitcoin and failed investnts, Zhou Yuwen had thodically built ventures from scratch.

Curious, she asked, “How do you co up with these ideas? And how do you get people to listen to you?”

Zhou Yuwen replied bluntly, “That’s why I said you’re not suited for business. Even with a second chance, all you’d do is dabble in Bitcoin. Stick to studying—it’s what you’re good at.”

Su Qing, amused, sent him a couple of cute emojis but pressed on. “Can you let

join the company? I want to learn.”

“No,” Zhou Yuwen replied flatly.

“Why not?”

“Your priority should be school.”

“But I already know everything!”

“Still no.”

Feeling persistent, Su Qing sent a “puppy eyes” emoji.

Zhou Yuwen finally explained, “Yanyan won’t let you in.”

“Why do you listen to her so much?” Su Qing complained.

“She’s my girlfriend. Who else should I listen to? You?” Zhou Yuwen teased.

Su Qing paused before replying: “If we hadn’t divorced and were reborn together, would you listen to

instead?”

“Of course,” Zhou Yuwen answered.

The response made Su Qing smile—until Zhou Yuwen added, “But there’s no ‘if.’”

The exchange ended, and Zhou Yuwen entered his classroom. He intended to sign the attendance sheet and leave, but Chang Hao unexpectedly sat beside him.

“Did you hear about Yanyan eting Tao Tian at the cafeteria last night?” Chang Hao asked.

“How do you know?” Zhou Yuwen replied nonchalantly.

“I was shopping with Gu Yaoyao and saw them,” Chang Hao explained.

“Oh,” Zhou Yuwen replied flatly.

Chang Hao frowned. “How many girls are you stringing along? Last night, Yanyan looked so pathetic!”

Zhou Yuwen, focused on his phone, barely acknowledged him. When Chang Hao finished his rant, Zhou Yuwen finally looked up. “What does this have to do with you?”

Chang Hao’s face turned red with frustration. “I care because Yanyan’s like a sister to ! I can’t just stand by while you hurt her.”

“If you like her, just admit it,” Zhou Yuwen said. “Stop hiding behind excuses.”

“I don’t like her!” Chang Hao shouted. “I just want to protect her.”

Zhou Yuwen smirked. “If you’re not interested, then stay out of it. Your ddling is disgusting.”

Chang Hao, visibly enraged, declared, “I’ll give you one week. Either you commit to Yanyan, or you let her go. If you don’t, I’ll step in!”

He stord off, his face flushed with determination, while Zhou Yuwen returned to scrolling on his phone, unbothered.

Monts later, Su Qing sent another ssage: “Linlin isn’t the best choice to handle Tao Tian. I can recomnd soone better—Chen Wan.”

Zhou Yuwen’s interest was piqued. “Who?”

Su Qing elaborated: “Chen Wan is capable and experienced. She’s respected and has connections in the student council. If anyone can handle the job, it’s her.”

Zhou Yuwen considered her suggestion. Chen Wan’s reputation from his past life as a highly competent professional made her a promising candidate.

But Su Qing ended the conversation with a sly remark: “I told you, you can’t do without , hubby. ??”
