Zheng Yanyan sat at the vanity table in a black spaghetti-strap nightgown, one leg crossed over the other, ticulously applying lipstick. The hem of her dress revealed a hint of her smooth, fair legs. A touch of lipstick on her lips gave her an added allure.
Zhou Yuwen, whose earlier rendezvous with Tao Tian in the car had been interrupted by Yanyan’s call, now found himself shifting his focus entirely to her.
Walking up behind her, Zhou Yuwen wrapped his arms around Yanyan’s waist, placing a kiss on her cheek. “You’re not going out. Why bother getting all dolled up?” he teased.
Before Yanyan could answer, Zhou Yuwen captured her lips with his.
“Mm… Stop it!” Yanyan mumbled between kisses, her protests half-hearted. “You’re ruining my makeup…”
Without waiting for further complaints, Zhou Yuwen swept her off her feet, sat down on the chair, and placed Yanyan on his lap. He resud kissing her, ignoring her feeble resistance.
Caught off guard by his eagerness, Yanyan gasped. “Why are you… so impatient today?”
“I missed you. Is that so wrong?” Zhou Yuwen replied with a chuckle, amused by her reactions
As the night deepened, an hour passed in a blink. Every ti they were together, Yanyan started confident but inevitably found herself overwheld, her protests replaced by exclamations.
This ti was no different.
Afterward, Yanyan lay in Zhou Yuwen’s arms, thoroughly satisfied but still pouting a little.
“What’s wrong now?” Zhou Yuwen asked, brushing her hair aside.
Yanyan rested her chin on his chest, her arms draped around his waist. “You’re too close to Tao Tian. I’ve never even driven your car, yet you let her drive it?”
Zhou Yuwen gently caressed her back. “I told you, I drank. She was just dropping
off. I couldn’t let her walk back.”
“But why do you take her to events and not ? Am I not good enough to be by your side?” Yanyan asked, a hint of sulkiness in her voice.
Zhou Yuwen smiled and replied, “Tao Tian is the Arts Departnt president, and the girls there respect her. You’re too young for these kinds of events. Besides, you’re my girlfriend—I don’t want to parade you around in public.”
Hearing this, Yanyan’s lips curled into a pleased smile. “Fine, you pass—for now.”
As they cuddled, Yanyan giggled. “Oh, by the way, I was talking to Linlin earlier, and she admitted her boyfriend isn’t as good as you. Are you happy now?”
Zhou Yuwen, a little embarrassed, raised an eyebrow. “Why are you even discussing this?”
Yanyan giggled mischievously. “It’s just girl talk~”
After a while, Yanyan shifted topics.
“Hubby, why do n always watch that stuff online when they already have a girlfriend?”
Zhou Yuwen sighed, deciding honesty was the best policy. “You wouldn’t understand. It’s just a guy thing.”
“Humph! So all n are unfaithful at heart,” Yanyan muttered indignantly.
“Alright, enough chatter. Let’s sleep. We both have classes tomorrow,” Zhou Yuwen said, pulling her closer.
Yanyan pouted but didn’t press further. Resting her head against his chest, she mumbled, “You’re so busy all the ti. You never think about taking care of yourself—or .”
Zhou Yuwen smiled faintly and said, “I’m taking care of you now, aren’t I?”
As they drifted off to sleep, Zhou Yuwen casually ntioned, “Oh, by the way, Chang Hao ssaged
today. He hopes we’ll get married.”
“What? Why would he say that?” Yanyan asked, surprised.
Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “I have no idea. Maybe you should ask him yourself.”
“Humph, no thanks.”
When Zhou Yuwen woke up the next morning, Yanyan was already up and bustling around. She had ordered breakfast delivery and was tidying up the apartnt, humming softly to herself.
Peeking out of the bedroom, Zhou Yuwen spotted her struggling to hang laundry on the high rack on their sunlit balcony. She was wearing one of his oversized white shirts, which revealed her long, slender legs.
Walking over, Zhou Yuwen wrapped his arms around her from behind and helped her hang the clothes. “Since when do you do chores?”
“Well, I’m your wife. If I don’t do it, who will?” Yanyan replied cheekily. “You’re out there earning money; the least I can do is take care of things at ho.”
Zhou Yuwen kissed her on the collarbone. “Not bad. You’re starting to act like a proper wife.”
Yanyan giggled. “Alright, breakfast is ready. Let’s eat!”
“Wait, you cooked?” Zhou Yuwen asked, genuinely surprised.
“Of course not. I ordered takeout,” Yanyan admitted with a grin.
Later that afternoon, Zhou Yuwen dropped Yanyan off at her dorm. The BMW X7, still parked outside Tao Tian’s dorm, was the topic of discussion.
“Hubby, I want to drive the X7 back to school,” Yanyan said, eyes sparkling.
“Can you drive?” Zhou Yuwen asked.
“Of course I can! I’m not a little kid,” Yanyan retorted.
“Fine. But take Linlin with you. Be careful.”
Yanyan bead. “You’re the best! I’ll even take my roommates for a spin.”
With that, Zhou Yuwen headed off to class while Yanyan and Linlin went to Tao Tian’s dorm to retrieve the car
Tao Tian handed over the keys reluctantly. Yanyan’s haughty attitude irked her roommates.
“Wow, she acts like the boss of everyone just because she’s dating Zhou Yuwen,” one roommate muttered.
Tao Tian sighed. “Let it go. She’s technically not wrong. Zhou Yuwen is my boss, after all.”
Though she brushed it off, Tao Tian felt a sting of frustration as she handed over the keys.
“Thanks for yesterday,” Yanyan said dismissively. “Oh, by the way, from now on, if you’re drinking with Zhou Yuwen, let
know. I’ll pick him up, so it won’t trouble you.”
The words carried a condescending tone, but Tao Tian rely smiled and nodded.
Once behind the wheel of the X7, Yanyan marveled at the luxury of the car. “Linlin, aren’t I a great driver?”
“Just don’t hit anything,” Linlin cautioned.
Yanyan laughed. “Don’t worry, I’ve got this!”
As they explored the car’s features, one of the roommates noticed the dashcam.
“Hey, this thing records everything, right? You could see where Zhou Yuwen’s been driving lately.”
Linlin’s face went pale. She hadn’t expected anyone to think of checking the dashcam.
Yanyan hesitated but eventually decided, “Let’s check last night’s footage. Tao Tian drove the car, and I want to make sure she didn’t ss around in my husband’s car!”
Linlin’s heart sank as Yanyan reached for the dashcam.
