"How strange! The performance is about to start, but Lu Lin is nowhere to be found, and Zhou Yuwen is missing too!"

Zheng Yanyan stood in the corridor, looking around but failing to find Lu Lin. She was frustrated and reached for her phone to call her.

At that mont, just a wall away, inside the eting room.

Due to the lack of lighting, the eting room was enveloped in darkness. However, the streetlight outside happened to reach the window level, casting a faint glow that barely illuminated the space.

The light flickered softly, just enough to reveal nearby objects, like Lu Lin and Zhou Yuwen, hidden in the corner.

Standing on tiptoe, Lu Lin took the initiative and kissed Zhou Yuwen. Zhou Yuwen held Lu Lin's slim waist, and the two kissed passionately. Lu Lin, emboldened, reached out and began to help Zhou Yuwen.

Zhou Yuwen chuckled quietly in the dark, biting Lu Lin's ear gently, "Are you crazy?"

"Don't you like it?" Lu Lin asked.

"She's right outside. If you don't like it, call out," Lu Lin's eyes glead mischievously in the dim light as she gazed at him.

Looking at Lu Lin, Zhou Yuwen couldn't help but smile. He swiftly flipped their positions, pressing Lu Lin into the corner and holding her chin. "If anyone should call out, it should be you."

With that, Zhou Yuwen kissed her again.

anwhile, Zheng Yanyan was about to dial Lu Lin's number.

"Yanyan," called out a girl from the Arts Departnt wearing a JK-style outfit, stopping Zheng Yanyan.

"Why are you still here? The director is looking for you everywhere."

"Oh, I was looking for Linlin. The performance is about to start, and she’s nowhere to be found."

"Why do you care? You’re the main perforr. Whether she’s here or not doesn’t matter, but it’s different for you." The girl grabbed Zheng Yanyan’s arm, urging her to hurry.

Zheng Yanyan was about to make the call, but after hearing this, she agreed it made sense.

Inside the room, Lu Lin could faintly hear the conversation outside. By now, the top two buttons of her JK blouse had been undone by Zhou Yuwen.

With a light tug, Zhou Yuwen slid the blouse off her shoulder, revealing her fair skin that appeared even more luminous in the dark. Zhou Yuwen kissed her neck, moving down to her shoulder.

...

They continued their embrace, with Lu Lin responding passionately. However, hearing soone outside ntion her unimportance stung a bit.

The voices gradually faded away, and after a mont more, Zhou Yuwen and Lu Lin separated.

"They seem to have left. You should go now; if they can’t find you, they might co back," Zhou Yuwen said.

Leaning against the wall with her bare shoulder exposed, Lu Lin crossed her legs beneath her JK skirt and scoffed, "They said I’m not important, so why would they co looking for ?"

Zhou Yuwen chuckled at her remark, "That girl just wants to curry favor with Yanyan. You didn’t catch that?"

"And why does she want to curry favor with Yanyan?"

"How should I know?"

"Because Yanyan is your girlfriend," Lu Lin said dismissively.

Zhou Yuwen didn’t see the connection between the two things. He thought Lu Lin was overthinking it.

"What does Yanyan being my girlfriend have to do with others trying to please her?"

"Because you have money."

"What does my money have to do with them?"

Zhou Yuwen acknowledged that in this world, money was essential. However, Lu Lin was still a young girl, and so matters couldn’t be resolved with money alone.

Lu Lin could see the flicker of thought in Zhou Yuwen's eyes. She leaned against the wall, continuing their conversation. She told him he didn’t understand girls.

Money indeed wasn’t everything, but Yanyan was beautiful and had him as her boyfriend.

"Everyone in the Arts Departnt knows you’re a rich heir, talented, and connected with major figures. Our departnt head earns 400 yuan a day from part-ti jobs you set up. Who wouldn’t want to know you?"

This caught Zhou Yuwen off-guard. It made sense that girls wanted capable boyfriends, and his reputation had long been legendary within the Arts Departnt. Trying to curry favor with Yanyan to get close to him was understandable.

The issue was that he probably wouldn’t interact with those girls anyway.

As they spoke, Zhou Yuwen’s phone rang.

Seeing that it was Zheng Yanyan, he answered, "Hello?"

"Hi, hubby, have you seen Linlin?"

Zhou Yuwen glanced at Lu Lin, standing before him, "No, why?"

"Strange, I've been searching and can’t find her. The performance is about to start. Where are you?"

"I’m outside. You should try calling her."

"Are you alone?" Zheng Yanyan asked suspiciously.

"Yes. What do you an? You don’t think I’m with Lu Lin, do you?" Zhou Yuwen felt she shouldn’t be suspecting him with Lu Lin.

"Of course not! I was just worried you went out with your ex-girlfriend." Zheng Yanyan laughed, reassured. "I’d never suspect you and Lu Lin."

It was true; Zhou Yuwen and Lu Lin barely interacted publicly, only exchanging greetings when necessary.

More than that, how could her husband even be interested in Lu Lin?

Zhou Yuwen told Zheng Yanyan that things with Su Qing were long over.

Zheng Yanyan, now on stage and spotting Su Qing, nodded quickly in response.

"Got it. Co back soon!"

"Okay, I’m on my way."

"Okay."

Zhou Yuwen hung up and turned to Lu Lin, "Hurry back. If you delay any longer, she might really start doubting us."

"She wouldn’t suspect ," Lu Lin said with a smirk.

"Why not?" Zhou Yuwen asked.

"Because in her eyes, I’m the bad girl," Lu Lin said, a glint in her eyes.

To most people, Lu Lin was indeed seen as a troublemaker.

"Then why let people think that, sweetheart?" Zhou Yuwen couldn’t stand seeing her look so sad, so he pinched her cheek affectionately.

Lu Lin stared at Zhou Yuwen in silence.

Zhou Yuwen kissed her again, "Let’s go back."

He took Lu Lin’s hand, intending to leave first.

But Lu Lin didn’t budge.

...

"Teasing , are you?" Zhou Yuwen smiled, understanding her jealousy. He noticed her half-exposed shoulder beneath the loose blouse.

He reached to help her adjust her clothing.

But Lu Lin pushed Zhou Yuwen back into the chair.

In a room full of chairs, it wasn’t hard for Zhou Yuwen to fall into one and ask what she was up to.

The moon had co out by then, providing a bit more light.

Zhou Yuwen looked at Lu Lin, dressed in her JK outfit, as she approached.

The JK outfit was indeed attractive, especially on Lu Lin, whose bare shoulder added to her allure. She adjusted her blouse slightly back onto her shoulder.

Gathering her hair, she used the black elastic on her wrist to tie it into a high ponytail.

JK outfit and a high ponytail.

In the moonlight, Lu Lin’s charm peaked.
