Aside from the CK underwear and perfu he brought for Zheng Yanyan, Zhou Yuwen had also purchased other perfus and costics. In Macau, foreign costics were quite cheap, only costing a few hundred yuan each. Zhou Yuwen hadn’t given much thought to what he was buying at the ti, just grabbing a bunch of items. However, among students, these few hundred-yuan products were considered luxury goods.

Shen Yu was pleasantly surprised, “I get sothing too?”

Zhou Yuwen smiled and replied, “All my friends get sothing.”

Zhou Yuwen was skilled with his words, and Shen Yu smiled, feeling happy inside.

When Zheng Yanyan realized that Zhou Yuwen had bought things she usually couldn’t afford for herself, she felt a bit distressed. *How could you give these to my roommates?* she thought. *You can spend money on , but not on them!*

Although she was upset, Zhou Yuwen had already spoken up, and there was no turning back.

Shen Yu, sensing the tension, only picked a lipstick and said to Zheng Yanyan, “Yanyan, I’m just riding on your coattails. Thanks!”

Zheng Yanyan smiled, “No need to be so polite. I have a boyfriend now, so all of you get to benefit.”

Zhou Yuwen had brought two gifts for each of them, but Zheng Yanyan only allowed each person to pick one.

“Here, don’t say I never treated you like a friend. And rember, Zhou Yuwen is my boyfriend,” she said as she handed Su Qing her gift. Even though Su Qing and Zheng Yanyan often bickered, it was clear that Zheng Yanyan had ‘stolen’ Zhou Yuwen from Su Qing. At the start of school, Zheng Yanyan had been all about helping Su Qing pursue Zhou Yuwen.

Zheng Yanyan hoped that giving her a gift would smooth things over and reduce future conflict.

However, Su Qing didn’t appreciate the gesture. She took the *Guerlain* essence from Zheng Yanyan and turned to Zhou Yuwen, “You still want to pretend you don’t rember ?”

“Wasn’t this bought for ?” Su Qing continued.

Zhou Yuwen replied, “What are you talking about?”

“The appliances you chose for your apartnt, and the makeup you bought—weren’t they all things we discussed and decided on together bit by bit? Are you really going to tell

that you didn’t choose those things with

in mind?” Su Qing’s eyes reddened as she spoke.

Zhou Yuwen had indeed been influenced by his past life when choosing these items. After all, in his previous life, he had bought a house and gotten married with Su Qing, discussing each purchase along the way. It was sothing that had seeped into his subconscious. When he bought the gifts, Su Qing’s preferences naturally ca to mind—she’d always loved *Guerlain*, so it was only natural to buy two tubes.

But these small details weren’t enough to prove anything, were they?

“What nonsense are you talking about?” Zheng Yanyan was thoroughly annoyed. Zhou Yuwen had clearly brought the gift for her, yet Su Qing was acting like it was ant for her.

“If you don’t like it, I’ll exchange it for sothing else. Why so many problems?” Zheng Yanyan snapped, attempting to snatch the *Guerlain* essence back from Su Qing.

But Su Qing wasn’t about to let the gift go so easily. She looked at Zhou Yuwen seriously, “Zhou Yuwen! You’re Zhou Yuwen, you can’t deny it. I know everything. From the mont I saw how your ho was arranged, I knew.”

“Hey, what are you talking about?” Zheng Yanyan asked, bewildered.

Su Qing ignored her and kept her eyes on Zhou Yuwen.

Zhou Yuwen stayed silent.

Su Qing wasn’t entirely clueless. She knew she couldn’t start talking about things like past lives—that would sound too unbelievable. She needed to gather more proof.

Without saying another word, Su Qing turned and left.

“Su Qing,” Shen Yu, who had also noticed the strange dynamic, quickly followed after her. Ever since the beginning of the school year, Shen Yu had sensed that sothing was off between Su Qing and Zhou Yuwen. It didn’t seem like a simple case of unrequited love, as Su Qing had suggested. From Shen Yu’s perspective, it felt more like Zhou Yuwen and Su Qing had once been in a relationship but had broken up for so reason. Su Qing, however, still seed attached, while Zhou Yuwen refused to acknowledge it.

After Su Qing left, Shen Yu naturally followed her out.

With two people gone, the room suddenly felt much quieter. Zheng Yanyan watched Su Qing’s retreating figure and muttered, “She’s acting all mysterious, definitely not normal.”

“Good riddance!”

With Shen Yu and Su Qing gone, that ant all the remaining six bottles of costics were for her. Zheng Yanyan felt a small thrill at the thought. Of course, she hadn’t forgotten about Lu Lin.

“Linlin, out of everyone in the dorm, you and I are the closest! How about I give you two of these as a gift?” Zheng Yanyan happily pulled Lu Lin close.

Lu Lin responded, “No thanks, I don’t wear makeup.”

“A girl has to wear makeup! Co on, pick sothing you like,” Zheng Yanyan said, generously offering the selection to Lu Lin.

Reluctantly, Lu Lin chose a *Dior* lipstick.

“Take one more!” Zheng Yanyan urged.

“One is enough,” Lu Lin replied, putting the lipstick away. “Shen Yu and Su Qing left, so I won’t stick around as a third wheel. I need to head back and rest.”

“Co on, this place is huge! Stay and watch a movie with ,” Zheng Yanyan insisted, holding onto Lu Lin.

Zhou Yuwen interjected, “With

here, what are you scared of?”

“Hmph! It’s because you’re here that I’m scared. Linlin, you have to protect !” Zheng Yanyan joked, playfully hiding behind Lu Lin.

Lu Lin couldn’t help but laugh. She and Zhou Yuwen exchanged a brief glance before both quickly looked away. Lu Lin teased, “Am I just part of your little ga now?”

“Alright, enough. I won’t be a third wheel anymore—I’m heading back.” Lu Lin was considerate and didn’t enjoy being caught in these awkward situations. Earlier, with Shen Yu and Su Qing present, the conversation hadn’t centered on her, but now, as one of the remaining three, she’d beco Zheng Yanyan’s shield.

She claid she was tired and needed to head back for a nap.

“Why not just sleep here?” Zheng Yanyan tried to persuade her.

“No, I’ll head back.”

As Lu Lin prepared to leave, Zheng Yanyan half-heartedly offered to walk her out but didn’t follow through.

Lu Lin noticed Zheng Yanyan had no intention of leaving the house and smiled to herself.

“Be careful on your way back,” Zheng Yanyan called from the doorway.

“Mm,” Lu Lin replied, leaving Zhou Yuwen’s apartnt. When she reached the lobby, she saw Shen Yu comforting Su Qing outside and went to join them.

The property manager smiled politely at Lu Lin as she left. “Heading out, Miss Lu?”

Lu Lin was surprised that the property manager knew her na but nodded and left the building.

With all of Zheng Yanyan’s roommates gone, the apartnt suddenly felt much quieter. The silence made Zheng Yanyan’s heart race a little as she turned to Zhou Yuwen, her face slightly flushed. “Linlin has no loyalty at all, abandoning

at a crucial mont,” she joked.

Zhou Yuwen rely smiled, watching her without saying a word.

Feeling uneasy under his gaze, Zheng Yanyan lowered her head and mumbled, “Why are you staring at

like that? You’re making

feel embarrassed.”

Zhou Yuwen said, “Can’t I look at my own girlfriend? I haven’t seen you in two weeks. I need to see if you’ve gotten any prettier.”

As he spoke, Zhou Yuwen stepped closer to Zheng Yanyan. Her pink-dyed hair suited her well, making her look youthful and radiant. Her skin was practically glowing. In just two steps, Zhou Yuwen was standing in front of her, wrapping his arms around her.

“When did you dye your hair?” he asked.

“Yesterday.”

“It looks nice.” Zhou Yuwen brushed a few strands of hair behind her ear and gently lifted her chin.

“Mm… ah…”

Before she could respond, Zhou Yuwen kissed her. She knew he wouldn’t behave, but luckily, she was prepared for it this ti

Tilting her head up, she let him kiss her.

With Zhou Yuwen pulling her down onto the sofa, they were no longer constrained by being in public. Here at ho, they could finally be at ease. It had been over ten days since he last spent ti like this with Lu Lin, and his energy was more than built up.

In fact, that last ti hadn’t fully satisfied Zhou Yuwen; it had only made him want it more. Now, with Zheng Yanyan, he didn’t hold back, his hands slipping under her blouse, easily lifting it without giving her a chance to resist.

“Ugh,” Zheng Yanyan gasped, surprised at his eagerness. She thought about resisting, but rembering the pleasure he’d given her last ti, she hesitated. It wasn’t like it was her first ti. As long as she held firm on her limits, it should be fine.

Deciding to stick to her boundaries, Zheng Yanyan crossed her legs, determined to keep her limit, even though Zhou Yuwen’s touch made her feel a mix of discomfort and desire. She wouldn’t give in, though.

As they kissed, she cooperated willingly, even guiding his hands where she wanted him to touch. But just as Zhou Yuwen’s hunger grew and he tried to go further, she stopped him, pushing him away.

Zhou Yuwen couldn’t help but feel a bit frustrated.

Zheng Yanyan’s eyes sparkled as she pulled her clothes back in place, her cheeks flushed. She wiped her lips and looked at Zhou Yuwen. He sighed, “If you’re going to tease

like this, you should’ve just said no from the start.”

“Co on, with everything you do for , I have to reward you a little, don’t I?”

“Not much of a reward if you ask .” Zhou Yuwen lay back on the sofa, feeling a bit let down. He knew she wouldn’t go all the way, but he hadn’t expected her to be so firm.

Their first ti together had been the closest they’d co to breaking her boundary. Now, each ti they were intimate, Zheng Yanyan was getting better at maintaining her limits, which was making things tough for Zhou Yuwen.

Sighing, he looked at her and said, “You’re always teasing

but won’t take it further. We might as well just stay chaste for three months and wait until then.”

“Perv,” she muttered, intending to comfort him but feeling a bit shy when she saw his look. She wondered if she could really hold out when the ti ca.

Zhou Yuwen replied, “What’s the fun in dating if we’re not a little wild?”

“Oh, alright. I know you want to, but it’s too soon! I’m just not ready yet.” Zheng Yanyan pouted, holding firm.

With Zhou Yuwen lying on the couch, she leaned over him, nuzzling against his face and coaxing him sweetly. “Co on, hubby, just be patient. Three months, and I’ll be ready for sure.”

“For real?”

“Yes, for real.”

As she snuggled close, her vibrant figure stood out against her black denim shorts, her waist slim and legs long. Despite herself, Zheng Yanyan found she was also a bit curious about Zhou Yuwen. Thinking it over, she decided that since he’d already touched her all over, maybe she could touch him a bit, too.

Hesitating at first, she finally reached out, briefly touching him before quickly letting go.

“What was that?” Zhou Yuwen hadn’t noticed her actions at first.

Giggling, Zheng Yanyan looked at him like she’d discovered sothing new. “Hubby!”

“…”

With Zhou Yuwen not responding, she got a bit bolder, reaching out again.

“Alright, enough! You’re gonna get

riled up if you keep doing that.” This ti, Zhou Yuwen quickly pulled her under him. Zheng Yanyan burst into laughter, teasing, “Co on, just let

feel a little more!”

“Quiet.”

“Hehe, hubby…”

“You’re quite… well-endowed.”

“…!”

Afternoon classes lood, and they continued flirting and whispering sweet nothings until around two o’clock. Several tis, Zhou Yuwen hinted at going further, but Zheng Yanyan stood firm, saying no each ti.

Seeing she wouldn’t budge, Zhou Yuwen sighed, “Fine.”

In her mind, Zheng Yanyan was already considering the idea of moving in and living together with Zhou Yuwen. He cut her off before she could voice it. “Dream on, unless you’re willing to go all the way.”

“Stingy.”

They kept playfully testing each other’s boundaries. Zhou Yuwen asked if she’d move in right now, but she didn’t actually dare to do it.

Having skipped their afternoon nap, they were already tired when the lecture rolled around, and this ti they had five straight classes to sit through. The packed lecture hall was filled with students from two classes, and soon the back rows were lined with dozing students. By the second period, soft snores were even audible.

The old professor up front continued lecturing in a droning voice that served as a perfect lullaby.

At lunchti, Zhou Yuwen had already told Zheng Yanyan countless tis to stop playing around, but she’d ignored him, leaving him pent up with frustration.

In the row ahead, Chang Hao was absorbed in his phone, while Li Qiang, who hadn’t set up a data plan, leaned over, reading a novel. Occasionally, he would nudge Chang Hao.

“Hey, Brother Hao, can you share your hotspot with ?”

“My battery’s about to die.”

It was nearly November, yet the heat was still stifling. Zhou Yuwen kept his head down, texting.

Shen Yu had sent him a ssage.

“Is your family really in business?” she asked.

“Why do you ask?” he replied.

“Well, this afternoon, Su Qing called your local prosecutor’s office.”

Ever since she left Zhou Yuwen’s place earlier, Su Qing’s mood had shifted to one of calm rationality. She hadn’t said much, but she had made a phone call, trying to verify so information. She had asked if there was anyone nad Zhou XX in their office.

Although Shen Yu was surprised at how much Su Qing knew about Zhou Yuwen’s family, she felt it was only fair to inform him of Su Qing’s odd behavior.

Zhou Yuwen sent back a series of ellipses.

“You and Su Qing don’t know each other?” Shen Yu asked again.

“What do you an?”

“I an, you two must’ve dated, right?”

Shen Yu’s assumption seed plausible enough. Zhou Yuwen and Su Qing were from the sa area, had gone to the sa high school, and Su Qing was so fixated on him. Saying they’d never dated was hard to believe.

Zhou Yuwen thought about Shen Yu’s words, but he felt there was no way he could explain the situation to her. So, he simply replied, “You’re overthinking it.”

But Shen Yu shot back, “Su Qing’s already admitted it. :)”

“???”

Zhou Yuwen felt a bad feeling building and wanted to ask how Shen Yu knew, but just then, she stopped replying.

A bit distressed, he realized his usual way of dodging questions wouldn’t hold much longer. Su Qing wasn’t stupid. By calling his father’s office directly, she’d have an easy way to check his background if she was persistent enough.

Besides, Shen Yu’s comnt about them dating didn’t seem like sothing she’d say lightly.

Feeling frustrated, Zhou Yuwen found Lu Lin’s chat window and typed:

“Are you there?”

In Lu Lin’s class, the situation was just like Zhou Yuwen’s—half the students were lounging, and the other half were on their phones. The weather was sweltering, and with it being the afternoon, many were close to dozing off.

Zheng Yanyan was happily chatting with her classmates.

During lunch, she’d posted a picture on her social dia, showing her lounging in Zhou Yuwen’s spacious 180-square-ter apartnt, her long legs stretched out on the coffee table, snapping a picture while nestled in his arms.

“Watching movies in my boyfriend’s big apartnt~” she had captioned it, and the post quickly garnered likes.

Naturally, she spent the entire afternoon bragging about it during class.

Su Qing, watching Zheng Yanyan’s smug expression, muttered, “Drama queen.”

Lu Lin, however, paid no attention to the commotion, idly scrolling on her phone.

Just then, a ssage from Zhou Yuwen popped up.

A flicker of interest passed through Lu Lin’s eyes, but she quickly masked it with a calm reply:

“Yes?”

Zhou Yuwen: “What did Su Qing say to you guys earlier?”

Lu Lin: “Is that the only reason you ssaged ?”

Zhou Yuwen: “…”

Zhou Yuwen: “Are you free to co out now?”

“In class,” Lu Lin responded. “But I could co out.”

“Then et

outside. I have sothing to give you.”

Lu Lin: “Where?”

Zhou Yuwen: “My place?”

Lu Lin: “Is it really just sothing you want to give ?”

Zhou Yuwen: “Forget it; it’s not that urgent.”

He felt a bit shaless for asking her over, especially after his ti with Zheng Yanyan at noon. But he genuinely missed Lu Lin, even if it seed odd to her.

Even while being close with Zheng Yanyan, he’d found himself thinking about Lu Lin. So, when Zheng Yanyan had turned him down, he hadn’t pushed because he figured he’d see Lu Lin eventually.

But now, after exchanging a few ssages with her, he realized his intentions were a bit too transparent.

Five minutes passed, and Lu Lin, noticing his silence, sent another ssage: “et

at the school gate.”

After sending it, she pocketed her phone and walked up to the front of the class to ask her teacher for a leave, saying she wasn’t feeling well. With a nod from the teacher, she left the classroom.
