Healing a Fallen S-Rank Beastman: Everyone Fights Over the Little Female Chapter 112: Choosing a Room
While Ares’s cooking video was receiving unanimous praise in the ’Seeking Guidance’ group, he and Lu Xiao were heading out to et up with the four teachers.
When they arrived, Teacher Ai Li and her main husband, John Ke, had already been there for a little while.
John Ke was a Male Beastman with an honest and good-natured face. He greeted Lu Xiao and Ares very politely upon seeing them.
"Lu Xiao, I’ve heard so much about you."
Hearing this, Lu Xiao raised an eyebrow. "Looks like Teacher Ai Li brings up at ho a lot?"
As she said this, she glanced over at Teacher Ai Li.
Teacher Ai Li smiled. "I do, often. There’s no need to hide it. Everyone in my family knows about you. John Ke has been wanting to et you for a long ti."
"I know what you’ve done for the males in the S-Class Shelter. I’m very moved, and also very grateful." The last part, the thanks, was John Ke speaking for himself. Lu Xiao might not have understood why, but because of her, he and the others at ho were talking with Ai Li more often.
Ai Li would even take the initiative to perform Spiritual Soothing for them.
Although Ai Li wasn’t like other females who were averse to performing Spiritual Soothing, in the past, she would only do it when they asked. After all, Ai Li sotis had to perform Spiritual Soothing at work, and she got tired too.
But ever since Lu Xiao ca along, Ai Li’s attitude toward them had beco gentler, and she knew to be more considerate of them. How could they not take such a change to heart?
John Ke wasn’t a naturally outgoing person, so he was very reserved in his deanor.
But Lu Xiao could still feel an extra layer of respect in John Ke’s gaze.
She had seen that kind of look many tis when treating patients in her clinic, but she didn’t understand. ’Why is John Ke looking at like that?’
It wasn’t until later that she realized this was, apparently, just the beginning.
Afterward, as Teacher Sherry and the other two teachers arrived, their main husbands couldn’t help but show looks of admiration and gratitude when they saw her.
After everyone had said their hellos and they were on their way to Blue Lake Manor, Lu Xiao sat in the car and said to Ares, "I get the feeling the four teachers must talk about at ho quite a bit."
Ares had naturally noticed this as well, but he wasn’t surprised.
Because Lu Xiao just had a knack for subtly influencing the people around her.
"They all like you very much. Under your influence, they’ve probably changed a lot too."
Reminded by Ares, Lu Xiao thought of sothing and couldn’t help but laugh. "That sounds pretty nice."
A smile surfaced in Ares’s eyes as well. He was certain that anyone who ca into contact with Lu Xiao would be grateful for her.
Blue Lake Manor was built around Blue Lake, with a row of distinctive wooden cabins scattered at varying heights.
After arriving, they chose a cabin that had both a view of Blue Lake and its own small, private courtyard.
It was Lu Xiao’s first ti seeing such clear, azure water, and she was filled with a sense of novelty.
"This is a salt lake. It’s famous for a type of salt fish, also called Blue Lake fish. It tastes very good." Ares stayed protectively by her side, as if worried she might slip and fall into the lake.
Lu Xiao looked at Ares. "How do you know so much? The fish sounds good. Can we eat it today?"
Ares looked down at her with a smile. "I did so research before we ca. They provide it here."
Surprise flickered in Lu Xiao’s eyes. "So when you were secretly on your terminal last night, you were planning out the trip?"
Lu Xiao was the type of person who would just wing it when traveling, never making any plans beforehand. So, she especially admired people who planned everything out in advance. ’I can’t believe my Ares is one of those people. How did I get so lucky!’
’From now on, no matter where we go, all I’ll need to do is bring Ares along. What a relief!’
"Dear, aren’t you and Ares going to pick a room? The rooms here are all very nice." Teacher Ai Li ca over with a smile, explaining that they had just gone to look. There were plenty of rooms—even after everyone had chosen one, there would still be so left over.
Hearing this, Lu Xiao took Ares’s hand. "We’ll go now. Will the ingredients be delivered soon?"
"Yes, they’ll be delivered in a bit. The staff here will prepare and clean them before bringing them over."
"That’s perfect." If she could avoid the hassle, Lu Xiao was more than willing.
’You really do get what you pay for.’
The cabin they chose had two floors. Shirley and another teacher both chose rooms on the first floor.
Lu Xiao, like Teacher Ai Li, chose the second floor.
The second floor was higher up and had a better view.
In the room was a large bed, surrounded by ethereal gauze curtains. When the wind blew, the curtains would flutter, creating a very atmospheric scene.
Lu Xiao couldn’t help but think, ’The owner of this place really knows what they’re doing.’
As she thought this, she sat down on the bed and imdiately felt sothing strange. ’Is this a waterbed??’
Noticing the little female’s strange expression, Ares quickly asked, "What’s wrong?"
He was already walking over from the window as he spoke.
Lu Xiao’s cheeks flushed slightly. Just monts ago, she was thinking the owner knew what they were doing. Now she realized she had been too naive. The owner of this place knew *exactly* what they were doing.
’What’s the purpose of putting a waterbed here!’
Seeing the little female remain silent with her face still flushed, Ares couldn’t help but worry. He reached out to touch Lu Xiao’s forehead, wondering if she had a fever.
But Lu Xiao grabbed his hand. "I’m fine. You’ll know if you sit down."
As Lu Xiao said this, she couldn’t help but stand up.
Ares sat down doubtfully. A mont later, a smile erged in his eyes and the corners of his lips turned up. "So, you’re shy because of this?"
Her inner awkwardness exposed, Lu Xiao widened her eyes and pretended to be angry. "Don’t say it!"
Chard by her cuteness, Ares let out a low chuckle and nodded. "Alright, I won’t say it."
It would have been better if he wasn’t so considerate. His doting and indulgent manner simply made Lu Xiao feel even more flustered.
She could only force herself to calm down and say, "Okay, let’s go downstairs and see if the ingredients have arrived!"
His gaze swept over the little female’s bright red ears, and the smile in his eyes didn’t fade, but instead deepened.
Even though he and Lu Xiao were now true partners, Lu Xiao was still so innocent when it ca to these things. The normally serious and earnest woman would always beco particularly shy in those monts.
And in those monts, he always felt the urge to tease her a little.
Just the thought that this soft and adorable side of Lu Xiao wasn’t sothing he could see all the ti, nor was it sothing just anyone could see...
...made his heart swell with satisfaction.
Because this was his alone—the complete, pure Lu Xiao.
She was the rare treasure he wanted to cherish for a lifeti.
It was also a special privilege that Lu Xiao had granted to him, and him alone.
’No one else would understand this feeling,’ he thought.
And no one else needed to ^_^
