"Hmm..." Michael inspected the wall again, trying to find any irregularities.
However, aside from its stability lessening, it seed to be the sa. As for the material, he wasn't exactly sure what it was.
It wasn't an ore, nor glass—though it had a glass-like structure. Perhaps a gemstone.
Hard to tell... either way, I can't exactly break it. Most I was able to do was simply dent it over and over again, Michael thought.
He had tried to simply focus on destroying the wall, but the dent never really grew.
Sure, it might've expanded by re milliters, but he'd have to bang the wall for years if he wanted to actually make a hole big enough to fit through.
But in this case of rinse and repeat, he managed to at least make it weaker.
Now, 10 punches were all it took to create the dent that had taken him over 100 punches.
It was a small upgrade, but if he continued doing this, then he'd eventually achieve what he wanted.
And of course, that was to break out of this place.
Therefore, Michael returned to banging on the wall, making the cracks widen.
However, as he was in the midst of that, his senses flared, and the mont they did, he turned to the side.
There was the sa winged and masked individual from earlier—just this ti, he was holding a scalpel.
But unlike last ti, Michael wasn't on the bed, which made the individual halt.
Even if he couldn't exactly tell the being's expression, from the slight trembling in his hands, Michael could tell the being was surprised.
Michael tried to speak; however, no voice ca out—almost like they had cut his vocal cords.
Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but this situation brought back past trauma.
Especially when he had to live like this for a bit, until he eventually died.
Fuck... snap out of it, Michael tried convincing himself. That happened way too long ago to still be a pussy about it. Just man up... I can always restore everything with my healing. If anything, I'll just cut off my own head and reconstruct my vocal cords.
It was a more unorthodox way of doing things; however, Michael knew the lengths he would go to now that he was no longer a normal human.
Therefore, instead of letting that masked individual continue gawking at him, Michael dashed toward him.
The masked being tried to evade, but sadly, it was way too slow to dodge Michael's incoming hand as it swiftly gripped the being by the neck.
Michael glared at him and began pointing to the wall.
What he was trying to do was make the being open up that door again. However, even after several minutes had passed, the being rely continued flailing around.
Eventually, Michael realized that whatever this thing was had likely been so sort of decoy in order to get Michael to act.
But despite that, Michael wanted to check sothing out.
Therefore, he brought his hand over the individual's mask and then swiftly tore it off.
To his surprise, not only did the mask co off, but also the individual's face—almost like the mask was glued directly onto the skin.
He felt disgusted; however, one thing was certain—the being was definitely not a human or so sort of angel.
If anything, the inside of its face resembled a demon, and its blood was pure black.
Soon, the being lifelessly fell to the ground, and then, under Michael's gaze, lted into the ground, leaving behind a foul sll.
Michael wanted to puke, but just as he brought his hand that had been holding the mask up to his face, he suddenly saw sothing interesting.
Even though the mask had no eye holes—or even a little bit of breathing room—
Still, once he brought the mask closer to the wall, it almost seed like the mask parted away the wall, causing it to crack.
Michael tilted his head and brought the mask closer to the wall. The mont he did, it opened a crack in the wall, which slowly revealed a door.
And of course, Michael didn't hesitate to kick it down.
The mont he did, another unfamiliar sight greeted him.
He was no longer in the white room. Instead, he found himself in a long hallway that had several doors spread across it.
In fact, the room he had just co from was labeled as room number 6.
The room in front of him was labeled number 5, and as he looked to the left, the numbers only increased.
But Michael didn't pay it any mind as he fully stepped out and took a deep breath.
"Fuckers..." Michael muttered, his voice finally back.
I swear, if Irelia was the one responsible, then I'm really going to fucking kill her, Michael thought with a determined look as he approached door number 4 and kicked it down.
Surprisingly, the inside was empty, so he went ahead and kicked door numbers 3, 2, and even 1 down.
But despite that, they were still empty, which caused him to frown.
What's with this bullshit? Michael thought. Kael and Arthur should be here, but there's at least a thousand doors here. No way in hell am I checking each and every single one of them.
Since these people seed to be rather intricate, he could also assu they had a ans of communication as well.
Likely, the person he had just killed had so sort of hourly report, and if they didn't et it, then the cavalry would arrive.
Still, Michael put his hopes in luck and proceeded toward the sixth door, effectively knocking it down.
And to his surprise, there was actually soone inside.
It was so red-haired woman. However, her hair was incredibly long—to the point where it could probably encompass the entire room she was in.
"Yo?" Michael called out with a tilt of his head, getting her attention. "I'm not sure who you are, but if you want, you can get out of here now."
She seed startled—more so by the fact that she heard a voice rather than the fact he was offering her freedom.
But despite that, she stood up from the ground, her legs trembling.
She slowly walked toward him, her purple eyes shining with determination as she stepped through the door.
Imdiately, the woman took a deep breath and plopped down onto the ground, bursting into tears.
"Hick... It's been so long..." she muttered. "I've been in there for the last 28 years... those creepy bastards did experints on ..."
The mont she finished those words, Michael took a look at her back.
From her tailbone, he could see so sort of scale-like tail growing, and from her back, a small pair of angel wings.
They were a slightly golden color, which likely ant they had a smudge of Seraphim DNA.
Nonetheless, he extended his palm, revealing a pair of golden scissors he had created.
"Here. I'm not sure whether you're going to kill yourself with them or not, but I'd prefer it if you just cut your hair, yeah?" Michael said, trying to liven up the atmosphere.
But that seed to have the opposite effect, as she drooped—her head looking toward the ground.
"I... even if I hate my current circumstances... I would never kill myself," she said, taking the scissors and swiftly cutting off her hair at the waist level.
It seed like she had grown fond of long hair, but obviously, the length of her hair just a few monts ago was a little bit abnormal.
But this? Waist-length hair? It actually suited her.
And now, she actually looked like a beautiful woman—of course, if he ignored all the dried blood on her face and body.
Nonetheless, now that she fixed herself up, Michael suddenly placed a hand over her head, startling her.
But his intentions were pure, so in the next mont, he simply used his mana to purify her body, get rid of all the extremities, and of course, clean her in the process.
It felt like a smooth breeze, and she even let out a soft moan.
Yet it was soon over as he extended his hand for real this ti.
"My na's Michael. What's yours?"
She looked him up and down, accepted his hand, and then surprisingly gave him a hug.
"Nyra... thank you, Michael. I could've never escaped without your help," she replied softly, tightening her hug.
Despite his surprise, he understood that she needed soone to vent to, so he simply embraced her back and gently patted her head.
"Now now... I'm sure you've been through a lot, but we need to move, Nyra," Michael said, earning a nod from her in response.
"Sorry... yeah, let's go. I want to deal with those extremist fuckers personally..." Nyra muttered with a glare, and with that, the two proceeded forward.
There was still the problem of finding Arthur and Kael, but if he could find another one of those weird beings, then his problems would be solved.
Or rather, soone a bit smarter than them.
And just as he had that thought, in the distance, he noticed the silhouette of a similar being—yet its mask was different.
Instead of the white mask, it was pure black, and the mont it noticed Michael, it froze, then turned around to run.
Aha... I guess I got one.
