"Yep. You have to believe , he literally twisted his knee and fell into goblin shit," Michael stated confidently, pointing to the passed-out Arthur. "He's a bit clumsy sotis, but I promise, a good shower is more than enough to get rid of this green goo."
"And what about that other friend then?" the demon general asked. "I rember only the two of you being here earlier. Where did he co from?"
"He's my contracted summon," Michael replied. "That's why he resembles as well. It's a pretty interesting one, don't you think?"
The demon general nodded. "And his na?"
"Err..." Michael turned to the sludge monster and received a shrug in response.
Therefore, he had to improvise.
"His na is Kael."
It was the first na that ca to his head, and while it was extrely ordinary, Michael couldn't help it.
He was never good with nas.
Nonetheless, that seed to be enough to get them through the security, and finally, Michael began marching toward the city.
A few minutes later, he arrived and decided to take a few hundred bucks from Arthur's pockets and head to a random hotel.
The receptionist seed a bit appalled at the state Arthur was in; however, it wasn't anything a little tip wouldn't fix.
Therefore, he swiftly headed into the elevator, and then to their hotel room.
He had bought a three-bedroom hotel for a month, since surprisingly, the currency was worth a lot more than he expected.
But of course, Michael wasn't planning on staying here for a month. A week at most, and even then, he still wasn't sure what he was looking for.
It was boredom that led him here, but curiosity was what made him want to stay.
Nonetheless, he walked into each of the three rooms and threw Arthur in the smallest one.
As for Michael? He took the biggest and gave Kael the second biggest.
It seed like a fair trade, and the person who should be complaining was out.
In the end, Michael rely kicked his feet up on a nearby chair and decided to relax for a few monts.
"So is my na going to be Kael from now on?" the sludge monster asked.
"It doesn't matter. If you want to change it, then go ahead. I won't stop you," Michael replied with a shrug.
However, the sludge monster rely shook its head. "You may call Kael then."
"Alright, Kael. Can you step out of my room? I'm going to go take a shower," Michael said, earning a nod from Kael.
"Very well. Good luck," Kael added and left, closing the door behind him.
Now, Michael was once again sitting in peace. However, he had quite a lot on his mind.
Although he had been back for less than a month, he didn't really feel like he had made much progress. If anything, it was too slow.
The people of this world, at least a few thousand of them, definitely liked him. But when there were billions of people, then it was just fruitless.
And as for the place he was in right now, no one even knew him, and if he was worshipped by demons, that might have so kind of adverse effect he didn't know about.
Safe to say, he felt lost, and he didn't know what to do.
I wish I could just solve all my problems with a snap or sothing... Michael thought with a sigh.
While he was here, there was one thing he wanted to do at the very least, and that was...
Speech Core. It was pretty useful and I basically mastered it.
The thing about its rank was that it increased based on his proficiency.
And of course, just before he had died, the proficiency reached upper Tier 15 levels.
That was why this was one of the better things he could do in his spare ti.
Therefore, Michael sat on the bed and proceeded to simply inhale and exhale a couple of tis.
He had no idea how to even go about creating it; however, he did rember the feeling of how it first ford.
So, by infusing all of his mana, Michael attempted to form so sort of core.
But he quickly realized his mistake.
He wasn't making a mana core—he was making sothing similar to a mana core.
If he continued making a core, then he would limit himself greatly since it would likely start at Tier 1, and then he'd have to speak or so weird stuff to rank it up.
But just in case, he decided to peer into his mories for a short mont.
His past selves didn't have anything in regard to the Speech Core, but his current self did, so Michael swiftly recalled that feeling.
However, as he was in the middle of attempting to form so kind of core, he halted.
He hadn't completely cut off all the connection with his mories, so a stray thought had entered his mind.
It was a core that seemingly existed as his entire body.
The system had ntioned it was forbidden; however, Michael knew for a fact that it wasn't the most difficult thing to achieve, especially in his current capacity.
Therefore, as much as he didn't want to break the rules and set himself off, Michael decided to try it out.
Michael spotted his Flow Core, which seed to not have been working this entire ti, and with slight wariness, he shattered it.
Imdiately, the mana which had been lingering inside the Flow Core shot out, threatening to escape his body.
But he held it down firmly and swiftly extended it all across his body.
From his toes to the very top of his head, Michael was resonating with the mana he had released himself.
And the mont he did, a particular phenonon happened.
The mana he had gathered back in the Eldritch realm—the sa mana that seemingly went to nowhere—now popped out of his mind and swirled in front of him.
Michael realized the chance was there and proceeded to swiftly guide that Eldritch mana into his body.
It was chaotic; however, his Light mana was peaceful, therefore, he tried his best to balance it out.
And after just a few more minutes, Michael managed to integrate the two of them inside his body.
But despite his many successes so far, he hadn't even begun the actual deal.
Therefore, Michael took another deep breath and lay down on the bed.
Then, he bit down onto a pillow and imdiately proceeded to do the single most painful thing he had ever done.
Michael contracted each of his blood vessels—practically his entire body—inwards.
His organs were in tatters, so even failing. However, since he had so much excess mana now, they healed without leaving behind a scratch.
But of course, the problem of his gut being practically annihilated was definitely not pleasant.
Nonetheless, since he had managed to condense his own body, it was ti to do sothing he hoped he would not regret.
And that was to replace his entire body with mana.
It was sothing that would always be there, and the capacity would increase by leaps and bounds; therefore, Michael really wanted to do it.
But there was one slight problem. If soone inspected his body, then they would think he was so sort of demon.
After all, the only difference between Michael and the demons would be the fact that they have demonic cores, and he doesn't.
This would make him nearly unkillable, as the only way to really morally wound him was to use sothing that cut through mana.
And even then, he could freely control his body at will.
I just hope my body doesn't feel like glass... Michael pondered warily, and soon, he washed his entire body in mana.
It didn't feel as uncomfortable as he had imagined; however, he knew for a fact that the effects were definitely working.
After all, his bones were slowly lting, and his organs had long since vanished.
And yet, he felt the sa as usual. No wobbly hands, and everything was still normal.
Wait my coc—it's fine... Michael let out a relieved breath.
For a second there, he thought he had lost his little Michael.
Thankfully, it seed to not change in the slightest, and now, Michael could feel so sort of chilly feeling run across his body.
Yet when he interacted with it, it almost seed like so sort of ocean.
And of course, that ocean was mana.
Michael knew there were still so safety steps left to take, so he decided to swiftly implent them.
He made sure the mana would not leak outward, and by doing so, he effectively removed the possibility of being affected by artifacts that turn off mana.
Then, he assured his strength wouldn't negatively dissipate whenever he ran low on mana, and essentially, he made his body run similarly as per before.
Finally, he slumped into his bed, letting out an exhausted sigh.
The pain was gone, but he highly doubted the chill he was feeling was anything short of the excruciating pain his body was saving him from.
But aside from that, it was finally ti to check his status.
