Cleanup was pretty simple—after all, the only thing he truly had to do was wipe his shirt off.

Now, he was finally done with all the unnecessary demon-killing bullshit.

And of course, the first thing Michael wanted to do was get out of here.

But almost like it was too much to ask, the animals—whether the bees or the lions—all headed toward him, their expressions firm.

Yes, he had done sothing pretty unbelievable. Since for a Tier 4, killing this many stronger demons was simply unbelievable.

And naturally, they grew curious—so more than others.

But there was one animal in particular who was the most curious.

That was the flying chihuahua king right in front of him.

"That was impressive, very much so," the chihuahua remarked. "However, I don't seem to recall asking for your help."

"Right, and I didn't expect your brigade to purposely let demons slip by to fight ." Michael chuckled. "It seed very convenient how the strongest got past, and your bees dealt with the weakest."

Michael had clocked that strategy not even a few seconds in. It wasn't bad per se, but if he was weaker, then he would've been killed.

And of course, being killed in so stupid animal kingdom was definitely not on his agenda.

Therefore, he stared the chihuahua down, and under the eyes of everyone present, he approached, leaned in, and petted it over the head.

Everyone was stunned, silently watching the spectacle unfold.

Even the king chihuahua itself was stun-locked by what was happening.

But that was enough of a revenge for Michael. Therefore, he rely turned his back toward them and flew upward.

The lions attempted to catch him; however, they were simply too slow.

And with that, Michael flew away, not minding to even look back.

He had already caused that weird kingdom more trouble than necessary, so it was only natural he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

But there was one more interesting thing he had found out.

Apparently, the demons had so ans of tracking him, considering they were heading for him in the first place.

But it's a bit stupid. If they knew what I was capable of, then why did they send such weak fighters? Michael thought.

The demons obviously knew there was a kingdom present here since they didn't even flinch upon seeing the kamikaze bees flying toward them.

But aside from that, he couldn't really care what else happened to them.

The chihuahua was naive, but it was also strong—so it could definitely defend itself from whoever attacked.

Though I might've been able to ask for so bonuses maybe...? Michael pondered, then shook his head. Those motherfuckers would've probably given dog treats.

That was definitely not what he wanted.

Nonetheless, he continued his journey forward, still traveling as north as he could.

And only now did he finally notice how large the world was.

He had gone through several day and night cycles, and that was all in the sa day.

Michael wasn't circling the entire planet either—this was just one straight line he had taken.

But of course, it seed like his calm travel would soon co to an end, as less than five minutes later, he encountered sothing a little... different.

The ground was pitch black, and every single plant that had grown here so ti ago was now replaced with demonic variants.

Tentacles, man-eating plants—all the stuff he would definitely try his best to avoid.

Hmm... Michael flew above the strange land, amused. Is this their base?

It would make sense; however, he couldn't even feel a single life form, no matter how far he traveled.

But one thing was certain: the further he went into these black lands, the more miasma he consud.

It didn't damage his body due to the light affinity. However, anyone else would suffer so serious injuries.

Or so he would expect. However, after several more minutes of flying, he heard a crackling sound, followed by his wings corroding themselves.

Therefore, he had to opt out of them and stop using them entirely.

Michael glided down and touched the soil. To his surprise, it was pretty hard, and it sort of resembled dirt.

However, from the foul sll alone, he knew this was definitely not dirt, but the dried blood from thousands of victims.

Is this also the work of demons? Michael thought, picking up the pace as he began sprinting forward.

As he did, he realized his mana was working in overti, purifying every little molecule that ca into contact with his body.

That also included the miasma, which was now clearly in the air, acting as a sort of mist.

But just as he thought this type of atmosphere would continue, he finally slled sothing rather nice.

Turning toward that sll, Michael tracked it.

It seed like so sort of formation—or rather, an illusion that he found himself in—as the more he traced the sll, the less the miasma began affecting him.

And after several more minutes, it was finally done. He reached the destination.

It was a strange sight—a long table with nothing but two seats and a bunch of food aligned perfectly on top of it.

Michael had an eerie feeling about this, but he decided to inspect the food. He purified it, trying his best to find out the source, if any. However, it was to no avail.

The food wasn't made—rather, it was created by mana. That ant soone here could make food from their mana in a similar fashion Michael could make clothes.

Though clothes and food is a little different, but I guess I can also imitate food. It just wouldn't look very realistic, Michael thought with a chuckle.

Nonetheless, he tapped the food several tis, and upon noticing that no one was showing up, he decided to indulge.

It was delicious, as one would expect from whole chicken, ribs, and all sorts of other dishes.

But of course, with each bite he took, he purified it, made sure nothing was wrong, and only then did he swallow.

After he was done indulging himself, Michael wiped away the sauce off his mouth and proceeded to walk to the other seat ahead.

It was empty at a glance, yet as he approached, he found a letter that read:

'If you're reading this, then you've likely died. If not, then you're in for a real surprise. You've reached hell—sort of—a more brutal version of it, you could say. It's a realm that was split off from the rest of the world I ca from, so I'm no longer sure where I'm at, and turning back seed impossible due to the colossal beings guarding the exit. Anyways, if you read this far, that ans you have a brain, and also know how to read. Cya, good luck, and I hope you die peacefully.'

Now that's a long-ass text, Michael whistled, rereading it several tis to check if there were any clues.

However, aside from the obvious ntion of there being so kind of beings guarding the place he had co from, nothing else was interesting.

As for the world split, he was highly doubtful.

Given how strong he had gotten in the past and died, Michael realized how space worked—and if he moved worlds, he'd be able to tell.

In this scenario, he was still on the sa world—just much, much further away.

Nonetheless, he stashed the letter in his pocket and proceeded north once again.

Going back when he was this deep seed like a waste, and worst-case scenario, he faces the demon king or sothing.

But eh, I doubt that's going to happen, Michael snickered. No way I'm that unlucky.

The mist had subsided since earlier, yet he still couldn't spot any structures or people.

It was a dead land, but if people managed to leave letters here, then that ant there had to be a civilization sowhere.

And just as he had that thought, Michael spotted a single spike in the distance. It didn't stand out much, since it just seed like so ordinary jagged rock. However, upon closer inspection, Michael realized it was the tip of so sort of spear.

He attempted to dig the ground—possibly uncover so sort of body. However, there was nothing.

Maybe so ti ago there was. However, he could only assu centuries—if not several millennia—had passed.

I wonder what the system would say? It would probably know where I am right now... Michael pondered with a smile. But I can do that too...

However, what was the fun in that? Mysteries were bound to be uncovered, and if he already knew what kind of shithole he was getting himself into, then that would be no fun.

Though I should probably... Michael trailed off, collecting his thoughts.

They were surface-level, and after he was done, he let out a relieved breath.

It's called the Edge of the World. And thankfully, there's no demon king here, Michael thought, glancing north.

Guess it's ti to explore.
