Through the forest, Auran followed behind the Night Hunter for a considerable distance, until they ca to a place where the trees were wider than any others Auran had seen along the way.
"Ah! Are you alright?" Henry asked, as Auran bumped into him, swaying like a man caught in the wind.
"How do you see right now?" Auran asked as he looked at Henry to examine him.
Looking at Auran, Henry saw a man with reddened eyes, a swollen face, ssy hair, and a slight, unsteady sway—like soone completely intoxicated.
"The Brain Deceleration Potion seems to be affecting you too well. I an, you drank the whole thing on the way," Henry said.
"Is that how it is...? I’m just so ssed up in my head now, I can’t even tell whether I’m drunk or not. I have to settle down quickly and co up with a solution to these problems soon," Auran muttered, rubbing his temples.
"By the way, Auran—I ant to ask you sothing," said Henry.
"How were you suddenly able to use ti spells? Did you stumble on a treasure or sothing?" he continued.
Auran was silent for a mont before replying.
"You took your ti asking that, huh... Just wait until we get back to the academy. You’ll get your answer at my graduation," he said with a tired smirk.
Although Henry was a bit dejected, he understood the reason. Unlike curse magic—or really any other magic field—a successful theory in ti magic was imnsely valuable. It wasn’t the kind of thing soone could casually reveal.
"It’s here," said the Night Hunter, standing in front of the tree. He took an arrow into his hand, muttered sothing under his breath, and moved to the right side of the tree.
Afterward, he pointed the tip of the arrow forward and quickly moved it across the air. To everyone’s surprise, a ripple appeared—like sothing had fallen into water.
"Auran, this is..." Henry stepped closer, his expression full of awe.
"No doubt about it. This is a high-level space overlapping spell. Only soone extrely advanced in the field of space magic could cast this," Auran said, equally surprised.
"Go on. Right past this ripple, you’ll step into the city," said the Night Hunter as he stepped aside, making way for Marian and the others to pass through the rippling space.
"What about you? Aren’t you coming with us?" Marian asked.
The Night Hunter shook his head.
"The Protectors will definitely be on our trail soon, and I can’t let them find this place no matter what. Besides, they still have to pay for ruining my hunt."
Then, just like before, the Night Hunter disappeared right in front of their eyes, leaving behind only the faint movent of a shadow in the distance.
"What speed..." Auran muttered before turning to the overlapping space and stepping through it.
"Isn’t he... I think it’s because he’s a theory user," Marian said thoughtfully. Following him, she stepped into the space ripple, and one by one, the others gradually passed through as well.
. . . . . . .
A yellow-colored beam appeared in the sky. In the next second, it rapidly descended and landed directly on the teleportation circle on the ground.
As the beam disappeared, two figures stepped through.
"Are you sure this is the world that provides Malv Flowers to everywhere?" Sena asked, looking around at the scorched land surrounding her.
"I’m pretty sure. I definitely selected the right world for teleportation," said the young man standing beside her.
"Oh—here cos soone we can ask," Sena said, noticing a group of people rushing toward them from a nearby building, its upper floor partially destroyed. The people wore armored suits and carried mana blasters in their hands.
"Identify yourselves," the guards demanded as they pointed their mana blasters at Sena and the young man beside her.
"We are from the Great Malckoy Family, here to investigate two students from our academy who suddenly disappeared from their dorms. Would you be kind enough to help us with a few questions?" asked the young man calmly.
"Great Malckoy Family?" Upon hearing that na, the guard hesitated. But when he noticed the cape they were wearing bore the Malckoy family’s key symbol—one he had seen in governnt records—he quickly gathered his thoughts and lowered his mana blaster.
"I don’t know how much help I can be, but I’ll do my best," he replied.
"I appreciate your understanding," the young man said before asking his first question.
"First of all, is this really the world that grows Malv Flowers?"
"Yes, this is the world where Malv Flowers are cultivated. But currently, we’re suffering a devastating loss due to a riot that broke out in a federal prison," the guard answered. The other guards who had co with him had already left to continue guarding the area.
"A riot? What caused that?" asked the young man. But before the guard could answer, Sena—who had remained silent until now—spoke up.
"Obviously, prisoners," she said, silencing the young man for a mont.
He then pulled out a paper with two pictures on it.
"Have you seen these two n?"
The guard took the paper and examined it carefully. After a mont, he shook his head.
"I don’t rember seeing these two. But if you go to our kingdom and ask the governnt officers to initiate a search, they’d be able to find them in no ti," he said helpfully.
Sena and the young man looked at each other before nodding to the officer. Then, they asked him for directions to the kingdom he had ntioned, and the two of them began to walk.
"Can’t you use tracking magic on them again? It was thanks to you that we were able to pinpoint them in the first place," asked Sena.
"It’s not that easy," replied the young man. But Sena continued to stare at him, expecting a more detailed answer.
"First of all, I can only track soone I’ve marked as my target. And to do that, I need to have had physical contact with them beforehand to place the mark.
