Yvonne Sutton suddenly wanted to know, were she and Hannah Abbott alike?

She didn’t want to be suspicious, to wonder if Wyatt Shaw had married her, loved her, and treated her so well only because she resembled Hannah in so way. But still, she had to know if they were similar.

"Not at all," Mrs. Miller said without hesitation. "You two are polar opposites. You love to smile and have a gentle, kind personality, while she never had a nice thing to say to anyone. She was sharp, harsh, and hated everything. Of course, you don’t look anything alike, either. You’re like a fairy, while she’s like..."

Mrs. Miller wracked her brain for the right word to describe Hannah, but after a long pause, she still couldn’t find one.

"Hannah... she was a little devil, a tornt. But a lot of the ti, you couldn’t help but feel sorry for her."

Just then, Wyatt Shaw appeared at the top of the stairs, cursing at David Sutton over his shoulder as he ca down.

"David Sutton, are you insane?!"

"I’m not wearing it! Stop chasing !"

"Get lost!"

Wyatt ran down the stairs with David in hot pursuit. Once they reached the bottom, David grabbed him from behind, and the two started playfully pushing and shoving each other.

Despite his utter disgust, Wyatt was forced to wear the Exorcism Talisman that David had specially gone to a temple to get for him.

"May God protect you, drive out evil, and keep you safe wherever you go." David even bowed to the talisman before stuffing it inside Wyatt’s shirt and warning him, "You have to wear this every day. Don’t even take it off to sleep or shower."

Speechless, Wyatt kicked him before calling for Yvonne to head ho.

David Sutton saw them off, nagging them relentlessly the entire way.

Wyatt wished he could cover his ears. "Mrs. Sutton, please, just shut up!"

Yvonne leaned against Wyatt’s chest and smiled. She had to admit, the bond between the three of them was truly special.

As soon as they got ho, Wyatt took off the talisman, but he still placed it carefully inside a drawer.

"I’ll put it on next ti I see him, just to avoid his nagging."

"He’s just worried about you," Yvonne said.

"Hah, he’s lost his mind, saying I’m possessed. *He’s* the one who’s possessed. Whatever, I’m not going to argue with him."

That night, Yvonne woke with a start in the middle of the night and saw that Wyatt wasn’t beside her.

When they were leaving the restaurant, Mrs. Miller had warned her to keep a close eye on Wyatt, saying that even though he seed to be back to normal, he might just be pretending.

Yvonne quickly got up, gently opened the door, and went out. She found Wyatt on the terrace, dressed only in thin pajamas, leaning against a corner of the wall and chain-smoking.

The cherry of the cigarette illuminated his handso, cold face. When it dimd, his face lted back into the darkness of the night.

He was staring ahead, or perhaps at nothing at all. He seed to be full of worries, or perhaps thinking of nothing at all.

The mont he finished one cigarette, he imdiately lit another, as if it were a lifeline he couldn’t afford to break.

’He really is just pretending,’ she thought. ’He hasn’t fully recovered from that breakdown.’

Yvonne stood there for a long ti before finally sighing. She quietly took a few steps back and called out, "Honey, where are you? I’m thirsty."

She thought she would have to call out a few more tis to bring him back to himself. But as soon as she spoke, Wyatt answered imdiately.

"I’m here! I’ll go get you so water!" His voice was dry and hoarse, laced with a hint of panic.

By the ti Yvonne walked into the small living room, Wyatt had already put out his cigarette and co back from the terrace. He let out a sigh of relief, probably assuming she hadn’t noticed.

He poured her a glass of hot water and blew on it to cool it down a bit for her.

Yvonne shook her head, not taking the glass. So he put his arm around her and helped her drink a few sips.

After drinking so water, Yvonne wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I can’t sleep soundly when you’re not there."

Wyatt lowered his head and kissed her forehead, then lifted her into his arms. "Then I’ll sleep with you."

"Okay."

Back in bed, Yvonne snuggled in Wyatt’s arms for a long ti. When she looked up, she saw his eyes were still open; he wasn’t asleep. She pursed her lips, tilted her head up, and kissed his chin.

"What’s wrong?" he asked.

"Honey..."

"Hmm?"

"I can’t sleep," she said as her hand slipped inside his shirt.

Wyatt grabbed her hand, his breathing tightening slightly. "Not tonight."

"Why not?"

"I’m afraid..."

"Afraid of what?"

"I’m afraid I’ll lose control and hurt you."

Yvonne bit his chin firmly. "You won’t hurt . You wouldn’t be able to."

Wyatt’s whole body tensed, but under Yvonne’s assault, he didn’t hold out for long. He soon surrendered, rolling over to press her beneath him, demanding her with fervent passion.

The next morning, Yvonne clung to him, not letting him get out of bed.

"I have to go to work," he coaxed.

"Can you stay with today, please?" she pleaded playfully.

"But I have an important eting today."

"But it’s not like the company will fall apart without you."

Wyatt gave her an indulgent kiss. "Alright, no work today. But what do you want to do with you?"

Yvonne thought for a mont. Then an idea ca to her and her eyes lit up. "Let’s go paint the walls at the old house!"

After breakfast, the two of them went to the old house.

The old doors and windows had already been replaced, and the place had been tidied up inside and out. However, the walls were peeling badly and needed a new coat of paint. The paint was ready, and since Yvonne had experience, she mixed it and then showed Wyatt how to do it.

Wyatt had never done this kind of work before, and his first attempts were a complete ss. Yvonne didn’t mind, though, and kept praising him for his rapid improvent.

Yvonne went to paint in the inner room. After a while without hearing a sound, she ca out to check and found Wyatt sitting on the steps, smoking again. She also noticed that the hand holding the cigarette was trembling.

"Honey, you’re slacking off!" she said, pretending to be angry.

Wyatt imdiately extinguished the cigarette and ran back with the paint bucket, but his eyes were heavy with exhaustion.

"Are you tired?" she asked.

Wyatt nodded. "Yeah, a little."

Yvonne stood on her toes and gave him a kiss. "Still tired?"

Wyatt smiled. "Why don’t you try kissing a few more tis and see?"

So Yvonne imdiately dropped her brush, threw herself into his arms, and started smothering him with kisses.

Wyatt quickly wrapped his arms around her, laughing and dodging her kisses.

After their playful tussle, they rested back-to-back on an old sofa in the open room. Nothing needed to be said; just leaning against each other like this was perfect.

For the next few days, Yvonne had Wyatt stay with her, keeping busy at the old house.

As for work, she called Mr. Rhodes and requested ti off directly, using their honeymoon leave as the reason.

Mr. Rhodes had complete trust in her and approved it without asking any questions.

After a few days, Wyatt finally returned to his cheerful, smiling self. He no longer snuck out at night to smoke and was able to sleep soundly. Only then did Yvonne’s heart finally settle.

Early one morning, Yvonne ca out to take out the trash and saw Vincent Reed squatting in front of her house.

The mont she opened the door, he shot up and ca over.

"Yvonne, you have to leave Wyatt imdiately! That man is extrely dangerous!"

Yvonne took a deep breath. Waking up in a great mood only to step in a pile of dog crap first thing in the morning—that was exactly how she felt right now.

She ignored Vincent Reed and walked toward the trash cans with her garbage.

"I’m only here to warn you because I’m genuinely looking out for you and worried about you!" Vincent shouted, chasing after her.

Yvonne threw the trash in the can and turned to walk back ho.

"Yvonne, are you even listening to ? I had people investigate him in Country M. You have no idea what kind of person he is. He... he’s killed soone! He’s been to prison!"
