Mrs. Reed also ca for dinner. Seeing Yvonne Sutton preparing food in the kitchen, she scoffed. ’She probably thought this tough nut, Yvonne, had finally caved.’

"So people are just born to be servants."

Her words were subtly aid at Yvonne Sutton, but she said them directly to Ms. Young. Ms. Young was instantly displeased. She ignored Mrs. Reed completely and went into the kitchen to help.

"Miss Sutton, you’re a doctor at a major hospital. You’re educated, beautiful, and have a great personality... It’s just, it’s just your taste in n isn’t very good." Ms. Young was indignant on Yvonne’s behalf.

Yvonne Sutton was simring soup. She chuckled at the words. "I was blind before."

"Sigh, normally, a breakup is a breakup. Nobody owes anyone anything. But they’re taking things too far. They’re blatantly bullying you."

"Yes, but bullies never get a happy ending."

After dinner was ready, Mrs. Reed ca downstairs, pulling Wendy Winters along, with Vincent Reed following behind them. When they sat down, Mrs. Reed even pulled Wendy to sit beside her.

"Wendy, how’s your appetite today?"

Wendy Winters hesitated for a mont before saying, "I threw up twice."

"Why did you throw up? Did the food not agree with you?"

Wendy Winters didn’t say anything, but Mrs. Reed imdiately found her target.

"Yvonne Sutton, I’m warning you. Don’t try any tricks. You’d better take good care of my daughter-in-law. If you don’t, hmph, I’ll make sure you don’t get a single cent of your salary."

Yvonne Sutton placed a plate of braised beef on the table and replied, "I don’t want a salary."

"You hear that? She really does have an ulterior motive!" Mrs. Reed quickly tried to persuade Wendy Winters. "And you let her co here as a maid! Aren’t you afraid she’ll use this chance to seduce Vincent? You, you’re just too naive!"

Wendy Winters said quietly, "I trust Vincent."

"He’s a cheating tomcat. How can you trust him?"

"Mom!" Vincent Reed frowned. "Can we just eat in peace?"

Mrs. Reed cleared her throat. "In any case, with her in this house, I can’t rest easy."

Yvonne Sutton placed the soup on the table. "Why don’t you convince your son to fire ?"

"That’s only because you’re shalessly clinging to him."

"Vincent Reed, am I clinging to you?" she asked him.

Vincent Reed was already extrely annoyed. "Just eat."

Mrs. Reed huffed in anger, then picked up her chopsticks and served Wendy Winters a piece of beef first.

Having learned from the previous two als, Wendy Winters didn’t eat it first. Instead, she served Mrs. Reed a piece of braised lamb rib.

Mrs. Reed, unsuspecting, praised Wendy Winters for being considerate and then ate it. Seeing that she was fine after eating, Wendy finally picked up her own chopsticks.

As for Vincent Reed, he didn’t even look at them, keeping his head down and eating his own al.

Yvonne Sutton returned to the kitchen to clean up with Ms. Young.

Ms. Young was about to wash the clay pot used for the stew when she saw a packet of white powder next to it. It was torn open, and there was only a little left. She let out a sound of surprise and picked up the packet to look.

"Miss Sutton, what is this?"

Yvonne Sutton replied, "Rat poison."

"What? What poison?"

"Rat poison."

Ms. Young quickly looked at the clay pot, and then, as a thought struck her, her face turned pale. "You didn’t... you didn’t put it in the soup, did you?"

Just as Ms. Young said this, they heard Mrs. Reed say from outside, "This soup tastes a bit strange... but ginseng and black chicken soup is good for you. You two should drink more."

"Don’t drink it!"

Ms. Young ran out in a panic. Seeing all three of them holding soup bowls, she shouted, "The soup is poisoned!"

"Ms. Young, what nonsense are you talking about?" Mrs. Reed frowned.

"It’s true, it’s really poisoned! Miss Sutton put rat poison in the soup!"

"What poison?"

"Rat poison!"

SMASH!

The bowl in Mrs. Reed’s hand fell to the floor. Startled, she jumped up. "I... I already drank a whole bowl."

She imdiately started sticking her fingers down her throat, trying to make herself throw up.

Wendy Winters had also taken a couple of sips and followed suit, trying to make herself vomit.

Vincent Reed looked at Yvonne Sutton and saw her leaning against the kitchen door, bent over with laughter.

Seeing him look at her, she bared her teeth at him in a grin.

Vincent Reed took a deep breath. "She didn’t poison it."

Vincent Reed said that, but neither Mrs. Reed nor Wendy Winters dared to believe him and continued trying to gag themselves.

"Ah, my stomach is starting to hurt."

Mrs. Reed clutched her stomach, now scared out of her wits. "Ms. Young, quick, call the police! No, call 911 first."

No matter what Vincent Reed said, Mrs. Reed wouldn’t believe him. Even when Yvonne Sutton ca out and said she hadn’t poisoned the soup, Mrs. Reed still didn’t believe her.

An ambulance was eventually called. Mrs. Reed grabbed Wendy Winters with her left hand and Vincent Reed with her right, but Vincent refused to go, so she could only drag Wendy to the hospital.

When Vincent Reed returned from outside, he saw Yvonne Sutton sitting at the dining table, eating.

"Mmm, the braised beef I made is delicious. Do you want so more?" she enthusiastically invited Vincent Reed.

Vincent Reed hadn’t had a proper al all day, and now his stomach was starting to hurt again.

"If you keep causing trouble like this, I really will tear down your parents’ house."

Yvonne Sutton looked up, her face calm. "Vincent Reed, there’s a limit to bullying. Do you believe I’ll actually use poison next ti and kill you all?"

Vincent Reed looked at Yvonne Sutton with heavy eyes. He suddenly felt a pang of sadness. ’How did things between us get to this point?’

Yvonne Sutton got ho and had just lain down on her bed when Mina Adler called. She said Wendy Winters had gone to the hospital again and was spotted by paparazzi, who were now saying she’d had a miscarriage.

Yvonne Sutton told Mina Adler all about how Wendy Winters had hired her as a maid and what she’d done while cooking for her that day.

After listening, Mina Adler cackled with laughter, pounding her bed.

"Serves them right! Who told them to be such bullies!"

"They probably won’t dare let cook for them again."

"That’s how it should be."

Mina Adler shared the news she’d just seen online with Yvonne Sutton. "There are also rumors about you, saying you’re still clinging to Vincent Reed, and that Wendy Winters had a miscarriage because she got emotional after discovering your affair."

"Hm, that’s pretty funny."

"But if you’re renting that villa, you could just post the lease agreent, and the rumors would fall apart on their own."

"I’m not going to prove myself innocent every ti they say sothing. There’s no need."

After hanging up, Yvonne Sutton went online and, sure enough, saw Wendy Winters’ fans cursing her out. They called her pretentious and conniving, saying that even after the breakup, she forced Vincent Reed to buy her a villa, and that the villa was right across from Vincent and Wendy’s new house.

Soone had also posted photos of her in the residential complex, saying she was currently renovating the house, which ant she was planning to keep pestering Vincent Reed. Others asked how she could be so shaless.

Looking at these vile comnts, Yvonne Sutton couldn’t help but get angry.

She was about to log off, but a fan suddenly started rallying people in the comnts: "Yvonne Sutton’s fiancé is trending! He posted the property deed for the villa she’s living in, and it’s in Yvonne Sutton’s na!"

Yvonne Sutton was stunned for a mont. She quickly backed out and, sure enough, saw the trending topic.

She clicked on it. The top post was the one with the property deed. She looked closely—it really was her na on it.

"My fiancée prefers to stay out of the public eye out of a sense of propriety. But so people shouldn’t mistake her dignity for a weakness they can exploit. She has behind her."

The IP address was in Country M. ’Was this posted by Wyatt Shaw?’
