Chapter 773: Chapter 773: The Corner Collapsed

Without warning, the aftershocks ca again.

Everyone had to pause and dodge the shaking.

Daniel Marshall, who was inside, was also very worried about the people outside. He repeatedly urged everyone to pay attention to safety.

Daniel was particularly concerned about Olivia Jenkins’s safety and did not want her to take risks for him. “Simon Howard, keep my wife away from the ruins. As long as she is safe, I don’t care, even if I have to give up my life.”

At that mont, Olivia yelled towards Daniel, inside the building, “I don’t need you to worry about . I can definitely rescue you. Daniel, listen to , you must co out safe, I don’t want to hold this debt to you.”

“Wife, stop it, sane yourself at a safe place.”

“Shut up, don’t distract the group. We are about to clear the path. Hopefully, God will have rcy on us and the aftershocks won’t co too soon.”

“Wife, are you worried about ? You’re finally talking to , that makes so happy. If I die, I would have no regrets!”

“Daniel, don’t say such things, you will definitely survive this. I almost see you now, you should be seeing more light.”

“Wife, just hearing your voice, I feel relieved, and my mood is much better.”

“Save your strength and don’t talk.”

“Ok, I will listen to you!”

When there were no aftershocks, everyone worked together to create a lifesaving path. Before long, the escape path was cleared again.

Daniel crawled slowly and ca out.

Quickly, they helped him to flat ground.

Suddenly, another aftershock shook – the corner where Daniel had been collapsed entirely.

It was so close, and even the sight of it made them palpitate. Fortunately, he exited just in ti. Otherwise, there would have been big trouble.

Still reeling from the shock, Daniel held onto Olivia tightly, “Wife, go stay with Valerie. Simon and I will go help others in need. I hope we can help minimize the villagers’ loss.”

Olivia nodded as she also hugged Daniel, “Go, be sure to be safe and do what you can. I’ll wait for you over there.”

Suddenly, Daniel kissed Olivia’s forehead.

Imdiately, Daniel let go of Olivia, following Simon to continue the rescue mission.

The villagers gathered at the school’s temporary shelter. They brought food from their hos to cook together.

Help from the county arrived, and satellite phones were at hand. So villagers were now able to deliver the safe news to their relatives.

With the satellite phone, Daniel instructed the Marshall Corporation’s foundation to raise materials then fully support those affected to get them through this disaster, while also considering help to rebuild the villagers’ hos.

Help from all sides was poured in to aid the rescue work and ensure villagers were taken care of.

There were considerable temperature differences at night, and rain was expected. A batch of earthquake-resistant materials was shipped over.

Fortunately, except for a couple of villagers suffering fractures and a few minor scrapes, a temporary dical team had already treated everyone’s wounds.

Those two villagers who needed surgery were also transferred out. All rescue work was proceeding orderly.

Night fell, and Olivia did not see Daniel return. She could not help but worry about him.

Olivia and the rest of the team prioritised the elderly and children, only when they had eaten dinner, could they rest and have a few bites of their own.

Every now and then, another aftershock would occur, and Olivia would instinctively think of Daniel.

Is he fine now?

Has he had a hot al yet?

Is he injured?

Olivia’s frown did not ease, and a sense of unease lingered in her heart.
