Now, improving their living conditions, to help them find a better way out, is sothing we should do. My wife is my guide, and I should be grateful to her. Simon, stop always seeing her with prejudice, and don’t expect rewards for every deed.”
Simon, left wordless, fell silent.
Accompanied by the local guide, Daniel visited Discovery River and tried zip-lining across it.
Even though Daniel was daring, often participating in all sorts of extre sports, he still felt a montary shiver when trying out the zip-line.
Throughout the process, looking down at the surging River, he felt very afraid, worried that if the zip-line snapped, he would fall into the raging waters.
The guide said frankly: “Because of the inconvenient transportation, the people on both sides of the river have to rely on zip lines for travel. The process is indeed frightening. Chief Daniel Marshall, I fear you’ve never experienced a life like this.”
Daniel nodded thoughtfully, “I’m considering building a bridge over the river to facilitate the residents’ travel and at least improve their living standards.
Furthermore, I noticed a problem. The huge Marshall Corporation foundation doesn’t know about Discovery County and hasn’t truly extended its charity to help those who genuinely need it. We should self-reflect on this.”
The guide smiled in relief, “Chief Daniel Marshall, your words are enough. I thank you on behalf of the local people.”
“You’re welco. Please lead to understand more about the difficulties faced by the people. I hope to genuinely help them. Money is not an issue, but I do hope each sum of money will directly benefit them.”
The guide agreed with Daniel’s words and led him to explore more local customs and understand more situations.
