He had thought Su Qingning would be angry, but he never expected this to spark her fighting spirit instead. He smiled at her and said, "Alright then. Whether I can live a cushy life from now on is all up to you!"
Su Qingning shot Lin Xiao a look that was a mixture of amusent and exasperation. "Hmph, in your dreams."
Her voice even carried a hint of coquettishness. Lin Xiao’s heart fluttered.
He smiled and asked, "What do you want for lunch?"
"I don’t really have an appetite. Besides, I have an appointnt to get to," Su Qingning said sullenly. She had promised Liu Fengchun last night, and if she didn’t show up for lunch today, he would probably cause trouble for her bar.
"Don’t go. Liu Fengchun is already in the hospital. He won’t be having this al," Lin Xiao said with a laugh.
Su Qingning glared at him. "Nonsense. He sent a ssage just this morning, insisting that I co to the clubhouse at noon."
Lin Xiao was stunned. That piece of trash Liu Fengchun had his tongue ripped out, not to ntion Pei Donglai had beaten him into an idiot. There was no way he could have sent Su Qingning a ssage. Truth be told, a part of her was moved by his words. Even though he wasn’t very capable, he didn’t cower before the rich and powerful like most people. She actually wanted him to co with her, because she knew this al wouldn’t be simple. If Lin Xiao was there, Liu Fengchun probably wouldn’t dare to try anything. But she couldn’t bring him. "No need. I can go by myself. You just stay here at the villa."

She knew perfectly well that if she insisted on going, this rogue would really dare to spank her. Fine. To save her butt from disaster, it was better not to go. If the Liu Family made trouble, she would just have to stand her ground. She didn’t like being forced into things anyway.
Lin Xiao sighed in relief. He grinned and said, "That’s more like it. Co on, let’s go ho and I’ll cook for you. I’m not bragging, but my cooking skills are pretty remarkable!"

Su Qingning’s mother was sitting under the pavilion in the villa’s courtyard. Seeing Lin Xiao and Su Qingning enter, she, already appearing sowhat reserved, quickly stood up.
"Ning’er, how was the house viewing?"
"Mom, we haven’t looked at any houses yet. I’ll find so ti to go tomorrow," Su Qingning replied, sounding a bit glum.
"Well, there’s no rush. What do you want for lunch? I’ll make it for you."
Just as Su Qingning was about to speak, Lin Xiao cut in with a smile, "Mom, let cook. I’ll let you two taste what a al from a top chef is like. I guarantee it’ll be even more delicious than the food at Chunyu Pavilion."
Su Qingning couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Lin Xiao. This guy would say anything. It was one thing to brag to her, but now he was boasting to her mother. How annoying.
Su Qingning’s mother glanced at Lin Xiao and said flatly, "I’ll do it."
Although her words weren’t harsh, they clearly showed she had no faith in his cooking skills.
Su Qingning, however, said irritably, "Mom, just let him do it. I want to see how he backs this up. I’m dying to see how he makes sothing more delicious than Chunyu Pavilion."
Her mother nodded reluctantly. "Alright then."
Lin Xiao entered the kitchen with a beaming smile, only to find the huge refrigerator completely empty. He wasn’t worried. He made a call to the housekeeper and asked him to deliver so ingredients.
The housekeeper was very efficient, arriving with the delivery in no ti.
Lin Xiao took a look and saw king crab, Australian lobster, abalone, and more. They were all expensive, high-end ingredients.
"He Yonghong, when did you prepare all this?" Lin Xiao asked curiously.
The man smiled and replied respectfully, "Mr. Lin, the clubhouse in our villa community has its own restaurant that keeps plenty of ingredients on hand. If a hoowner needs anything, we deliver it right to their door."
Lin Xiao smiled. "Nice work. You handled this beautifully."
He Yonghong was well aware that while this young man looked scruffy, he had an exceptional relationship with Shao i’er. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have given him specific instructions to satisfy all of Lin Xiao’s requests. So, upon hearing Lin Xiao’s praise, He Yonghong quickly said, "You flatter , Mr. Lin. It’s my honor to be of service to you!"
"Good. I’ll be sure to ntion this to Shao i’er."
He Yonghong was instantly thrilled. "Mr. Lin, if you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask!"
"You got it."
With an excited look on his face, He Yonghong quickly took his leave. Lin Xiao then began to prepare the ingredients.
