Lin Xiao nodded and followed her up to the second floor.
Chu Xiangxue pointed to one of the rooms. "Stinky Daddy, you'll stay in this room. I'm staying in this room too, you know!"
"Okay, I'll go change. Wait for a bit!"
Chu Xiangxue smiled and nodded.
Lin Xiao turned, entered the room, and imdiately locked the door.
Bathe together? Like hell I will.
He had only agreed earlier for this very mont. Lin Xiao would have loved to take a bath with Su Qingning, but unfortunately, she wasn't very keen on the idea. At least, not yet.
Hearing the sound of the lock, Chu Xiangxue chuckled. "Oh? Getting shy, Stinky Daddy?"
Lin Xiao didn't answer, simply throwing himself onto the bed. He then dialed Su Qingning's number. After a few rings, Su Qingning finally answered.
"Hello, honey. Miss ?" Her cheerful voice ca through the phone.
"Yeah, I do. Why did it take you so long to pick up?"
"I was just doing a round at the bar and it was too noisy. I waited until I was back in the office to answer," Su Qingning explained.
"So you're still at the bar?"
"Yep. I was planning to head back earlier, but business is booming tonight, so I stayed a little longer. Don't worry, I'm about to head ho with Jing Zhe!"
"Okay, head back soon and be safe on the road!"
"I will! Hubby, when are you coming back?"
"Tomorrow morning, I think."
"Then I'll co pick you up!"
"Sounds good!" Lin Xiao said with a smile. As he spoke, an image of her picking him up from the airport ford in his mind.
Thinking of this, he chuckled silently, inwardly vowing to give her a proper kiss when he saw her.
After so more idle chatter, they hung up.
Chu Xiangxue's voice ca from outside the door again. "Stinky Daddy, are you done changing?"
"I'm done, but I suddenly don't feel like bathing anymore. You should get so rest!" Lin Xiao replied.
Chu Xiangxue was dumbfounded. She suddenly realized that Lin Xiao never had any intention of bathing with her. He had likely tricked her just to lock her out of the room. When she ca to this realization, Chu Xiangxue felt a wave of disappointnt.
To be honest, she had initially approached Lin Xiao at her family's behest, but after spending ti with him, she found that she was genuinely starting to fall for him. She had acted so boldly tonight for two reasons. First, discovering Lin Xiao's true identity had been a huge shock to her. Second, she finally had a chance to be alone with him, and she naturally wasn't going to miss it.
Unfortunately, it was all just her own wishful thinking. Lin Xiao wasn't giving her the slightest opening.
At that mont, Chu Xiangxue once again felt a pang of envy toward Su Qingning. After all, what girl doesn't long to be soone's one and only?
"Stinky Daddy, you're the worst! How could you trick like that!" Chu Xiangxue said, feigning a hurt tone.
"Don't be silly. Hurry up and get so rest."
"Hmph, I won't! Open the door, or I'll sleep right here at your doorstep tonight!"
"Fine by . I could use a door guardian. If you sleep there, you can protect all night!" Lin Xiao laughed.
Chu Xiangxue was speechless. "Stinky Daddy, you're so infuriating!"
"Mmm, I know, right? I infuriate myself sotis. I an, you're so beautiful, with such a smoking hot body... why on earth am I not tempted?"
Chu Xiangxue was even more speechless. This wasn't the first ti Lin Xiao had rejected her, but for so reason, this rejection truly broke her heart.
