Just as Lin Xiao was about to speak, Shao i'er cut in. "Liu Chengfeng, our friendship ends here. Please leave!"

An icy frost had unknowingly settled over Shao i'er's foxy face. She looked at Liu Chengfeng with a cold gaze.

"Hmph. If you're crazy, go see a doctor. Stop putting on an act here," Shao i'er said coldly.
"Alright, if that's how you want to be, then I'll just beat this filthy beggar until he kneels before !"

She had known Lin Xiao for a while and was well aware he was no pushover. But Liu Chengfeng was an expert on the Human Emperor's List. Even with all of Lin Xiao's backbone, she feared that he would be forced to kneel when faced with such an attack.

"Get lost!" Shao i'er bellowed, seething with rage.
Liu Chengfeng's expression darkened as he stared at her. "You were offered a chance to save face, but you refused it. Since that's how it is, don't bla for being ruthless!"
As he finished speaking, Lin Xiao, who had been silent all this ti, suddenly smiled.
"Shao i'er, you should leave first," Lin Xiao said with a smile.
"I won't!" the young woman said stubbornly.
She knew Lin Xiao was telling her to leave because he didn't want Liu Chengfeng to use her as leverage. But how could she possibly leave at a ti like this? Even though Liu Chengfeng had turned on her, she wasn't afraid of him. Besides, she felt that if she stayed by Lin Xiao's side and Liu Chengfeng dared to make a move, she could protect him. She refused to believe Liu Chengfeng would actually dare to touch her.
"Don't worry. I'm asking you to leave not because I'm afraid he'll use you to threaten , but because I don't want you to get splattered with blood."

Liu Chengfeng reacted as if he had just heard the most hilarious joke in the world and burst out laughing, laughing so hard that tears ca to his eyes.

Shao i'er didn't laugh. She knew Lin Xiao was only saying this to protect her.

Liu Chengfeng was once again amused, his laugh turning sinister.

Shao i'er shot him a vicious glare before turning and leaving the security room.
Soon, only Lin Xiao and Liu Chengfeng were left in the large room.
Lin Xiao took a sip of tea.
"Kneel," he said slowly and deliberately.

Lin Xiao placed his teacup on the table, his gaze suddenly sharpening as he looked at Liu Chengfeng. An overwhelming, intimidating pressure washed over the room.
Liu Chengfeng's heart skipped a beat.
Lin Xiao ignored his shock and continued, "If I had known back then what a piece of trash you were, I never would have let you on the Human Emperor's List, no matter how talented or powerful you were. Luckily, I can correct that mistake today."
Liu Chengfeng was stunned for a mont, then burst out laughing again.
"You filthy beggar, what the hell are you talking about? You think you're the Dragon Lord?"
"Who knows? Maybe I am," Lin Xiao retorted with a cold smile.

Liu Chengfeng laughed again, so hard he almost doubled over.
A filthy beggar had the audacity to claim he was the Dragon Lord. He was truly asking for death.
But as he laughed, Liu Chengfeng's eyes suddenly beca extrely sharp, his gaze like a blade aid at Lin Xiao.
"A maggot like you dares to impersonate the Dragon Lord?" he said in a chilling tone. "Today, I'll let you taste what it ans to court death!"
With that, Liu Chengfeng pounced toward Lin Xiao.
