Abyss, at the bottom of the Abyss.

City of Wind and Snow.

Outside the dim hall, Lilianna cradled a thick dossier and knocked on the heavy, ancient door.

"Co in, Lily."

A graceful and lodious voice echoed from behind the door.

Upon receiving the response, the Grey Elf Girl finally entered the hall shrouded in a layer of hazy night.

"Leader, so days ago you said you wanted to retreat, so I sealed off the central area and didn’t let anyone approach the Palace of Night..."

"These are the summaries and notes of the events that took place within the City of Wind and Snow during the days of your retreat, all recorded here for you to review."

Lilianna set the dossier in her hands on the table in the center of the hall.

"There’s no need to worry too much about other matters; they are just trivial things."

"The elves have already lived in the Abyss for hundreds of years, and such daily affairs can be handled by themselves. There’s no need for you, Leader, to attend to them personally."

"The only sowhat unusual thing is...

...around the City of Wind and Snow, those glaciers and ice fields that seed ever-present have all begun to lt."

"At first... the elves all thought it was just a minor anomaly of the Abyss’s internal environnt and would soon calm down, but no one expected... the lting of the glaciers has continued for six months."

"According to feedback from the Rangers, the glacier at the highest point of the snowy mountains has lted into a waterfall several thousand feet long."

While organizing the dossier in her hands, Lilianna spoke respectfully.

"If such changes continue..."

The Grey Elf Girl couldn’t help but smile: "It may not be many years before our City of Wind and Snow will need a na change."

The so-called City of Wind and Snow, without the endless ice fields and blizzards, how could it be worthy of such a na?

Of course, for both Lilianna and the Elf Clan residents in the City of Wind and Snow, such a change is definitely not a bad thing.

The pure white snowfields and the eternally unlted glaciers certainly have a unique beauty.

However, no matter how beautiful the ice field scenery is, after seeing it for decades, even hundreds of years, it inevitably becos tiring and monotonous.

Just as those living on fertile plains find viewing border scenery a delightful journey, so do the residents living on snowfields constantly dream of the ti of blossoming spring and wish to live in warm areas filled with birds and flowers.

Compared to those who know nothing and regard the environntal anomaly as a natural transformation of the Abyss...

Lilianna, who is closest to the Leader, and could even be considered her confidante to so extent, knows more.

The recent environntal changes, the glacier lting,

and even—the formation of this snowfield and the birth of the City of Wind and Snow,

all these things are not the natural changes that many residents imagine...

But simply because of one person.

"Leader."

Lilianna hesitated for a mont, then after a long pause, thoughtfully began to speak.

"If I’m not mistaken..."

"These matters... shouldn’t be unrelated to him, right?"

As she spoke, she raised her head and looked at the Black-Clad Girl on the Throne of Night.

However, rely a mont later, Lilianna couldn’t help but be dazed.

On the lofty throne, the Black-Clad Girl was actually smiling.

Her smile was slight, rely sketched into a small curve on her flawless white face.

If it weren’t for Lilianna being by the Leader’s side for hundreds of years and being extrely familiar with the Black-Clad Girl, she might not even have noticed at this mont.

Yet, precisely because of this, it made Lilianna quite surprised.

All along, this Black-Clad Girl, in Lilianna’s and the entire Elf Clan’s eyes in the City of Wind and Snow, was veiled in a layer of reverence.

She was powerful, mysterious, and supre.

Just like when Lilianna accidentally heard the Leader refer to herself by another na... the Queen of the Night.

And all along, the image she showed to outsiders lived up to this title: mysterious and supre.

The awe that lay hidden behind the night made most of the elders in the Elf Council of the City of Wind and Snow fear her, which is why they entrusted all communication with the Leader to Lilianna alone.

However, at this very mont,

the mysterious image of the Queen of the Night was broken for the first ti.

Since deciding to follow the Leader, this was the first ti Lilianna saw such a smile on the other’s face.

Not very noticeable, yet an inner joy, perhaps even the Leader herself never realized.

"Leader..."

"Has sothing good happened recently?"

A curiosity surged like a tidal wave in Lilianna’s heart, uncontrollable.

Perhaps it was just like the casual conversation she once overheard between Sister Hathaway and that human boy.

Gossip is the instinct of every intelligent being.

"Good news?"

On the throne, the Black-Clad Girl was clearly perusing the dossier submitted by Lilianna.

Yet, upon hearing Lilianna’s words, she was montarily lost in thought.

A mont later, she then casually covered her mouth slightly.

"Why do you say that?"
